I have stayed at the hotel for 3 nights in the end of September. The highlights of the hotel are the really kind and helpful personnel and the location close to the metro station that connects to the airport and the city centre. The reception desk was very kind and eager to help even when there were requests from multiple customers at the same time. The rooms were also really nice and clean and the food at the restaurant really tasty! I would definitely recommend it for vacation in Athens!

Though I got a very good rate on this room, we did not get the “superior” room as depicted on their website. We got a standard room that was no better, in any way, than what I could have booked at the Best Western. Plain, no view and a very bad sofa bed for my mother. Some of the other complaints posted were quite true - the breakfast was 29 eu (saw nobody there) and the roof pool was in shabby condition. The staff was friendly and helpful enough. The lobby is huge and quite ornate. There is good food nearby at much more reasonable prices. It is quite a walk to anywhere you would want to see, especially if you have 86 years like my mother. I would suggest a smaller and more interesting hotel downtown. I will next time.

I stayed at the Divani Caravel for a business meeting. The hotel is 30 minutes away from the airport by car, without traffic. The enterance is extremely grand, glittering chandeliers and marble walls. Check in was very quick, and the staff were very friendly. Once getting into the room on the fiifth floor, it was clean and pristine. There were many toiletries: shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash, olive oil soap, exfoliating soap, dental kit, shaving kit, vanity kit, shoe horn, shoe polish kit, slippers, dressing gowns. There's a full mini bar, tea and coffee facilities, to and DVD player and laundry service. There is a turn down service in the evenings and a menu card for room service breakfast which you can leave on your door in the evening. The rooftop pool area is beautiful, with warm water even in November. There are two balconies leading off of the pool, one overlooking the Acropolis and the other overlooking the city. The pool opening times are 7am to 9pm. There is a bar by the pool, but unfortunately there wasn't any bar staff. There is a spa, hairdressers and gym, but I didn't use these facilities. My friend stayed on the second floor, and didn't receive as many amenities or tea and coffee facilities, but I honestly think this was an oversight. All in all, a beatiful hotel with fantastic staff! The best tip I can give: ask for a room with a view of the Acropalis.

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights on a recent business trip. Overall my stay was OK with no issues. Some elements could be better to make it really feel like a 5 star hotel. Things I liked: - Good location, a 5min walk from the metro station. Some good amenities around, but anyhow easy access to more central areas for shops, restaurants etc. - Spacious hotel, very clean throughout. - Great breakfast selection of hot and cold dishes. I particularly enjoyed the traditional greek sweets, cheeses and other options that were available. - Very efficient, polite and helpful staff, always with a smile! - Excellent bed with a great pillow menu. I had the best night's sleep in a hotel for some time. Things that could be better: - Room design feels rather simple and basic for a 5 star hotel. - I had a room on the 7th floor. It was rather smaller than I expected in size and felt rather cramped - The safe in the room is very small and not very practically shaped. I could not fit my small laptop in it and an A4-size document folder only fits diagonally... - The safe operates by use of the room key card, which I think is not the most secure option these days - My room did not have sufficient free power sockets to use. I could only find 2 available ones, which was marginally OK for me as a single traveler. Couples or people with a number of devices to plug in would have to unplug desk lamps to be able to accommodate. - The air con unit in the room was rather noisy when on.

As we are members of the Leading Hotels group, we decided to stay here. This is our second visit in two weeks. Whilst not located in the downtown area, it’s only a short distance by taxi to most places. We had a very large suite on the executive floor which overlooked the Acropolis. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful . The negative for us is you have to shower in the very narrow bath which was awkward to say the least. This wasn’t the case when we stayed here two weeks ago and in a smaller suite. There are a number of reasonable restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.
