Reviews for Grand Resort Lagonissi
In a pool room standards should be higher and all things are not " la grande" like name of resort saying: ceiling is not high, tiny bath where you can t put your make up bag or second person can t stand next to you by the lavabo. Some amenities or small towels forgotten every day, so you have to call all the time to bring you things. It was first week of working, but that should not be excused. Breakfast didn t have organic corner, green architecture around big estate of resort is bold, starting from balcony of my pool, or small flowers in room or bathroom not there ( only in lobby i saw flowers) so i don t recommend it for hot summer days and too bright sun. There is lovely spa and Captain Jack taverna, these i would suggest to use it, but to stay in other hotels in Voulagmeni thats keeps they star's standard.

Excellent beach - well maintained rooms - sumptuous food - water sports - could not find any cons. The gym should have a steam room for the boarders although our sea side bungalow had it's own steam bath.

A business convention brought me to Athens from Dubai in October 2016. The hotel is actually an hour from the city centre by bus, but nonetheless in a very nice location on the coast. I had a standard double room with a balcony that looked out over the sea and was very picturesque. Colleagues stayed in bungalows in a different area of the resort. Food choice at breakfast and dinner was very good with a large dining room and very proficient omelette and flambe staff.. Only a small bar in the lobby area however, but a nice terrace attached with panoramic views over the bay. Only paid laundry service available however. I asked for an iron and they do not supply them, forcing the use of the paid laundry service. This is not good for me. As far as I am concerned, 99% of hotel guests will have clothes that have been packed into a case and will need pressing before wearing. All hotel rooms should be equipped with an iron in my opinion, just as they are with hairdryers!

I stayed here on a business trip, back in July 2016. Of course, never having been to Athens - I was not sure what to expect. I can now, honestly say this resort was one of the BEST I have EVER stayed in and I can't believe these negative comments. First of all, the grounds, exterior of the property and the decor and mere size of the accommodation options are gorgeous. I was lucky enough to stay in the Mediterranean Bungalow which was (heaven!!), huge bed, stunning bathroom (with gym), stunning sea views and excellent attention to detail (especially in my walk - in - wardrobe!). Room aside, the reason I fell in love with this resort along with the amenities, location and array of experiences - is the hospitality. The staff are genuine, kind, knowledgable and just pure excellent in their manner and communication. One of the highlights of Lagonissi for me was the food. I stayed here for 3 nights and every night - I just had to indulge. My favourite was the Greek restaurant with a live band, lots of smiles and energy and the most delicious food you will ever taste - honestly (and I'm a BIG foodie). As it was a business trip I took a wander around the resorts facilities and there was a wedding going on, it was breathtaking! The resort are specialists in organising and hosting weddings and I could definitely see why, so much so that I've insisted my friend take a trip there in May to check it out for her big day! All in all, this resort was a YES from me. I can't wait to return, see all the lovely staff again- especially Mania the AM who was amazing! Thank you GRL and see you soon!
Absolutely loved it, stayed there with my wife and two kids in July. We had a suite that was big enough for all of us. I wish we had stayed there for more than 3 nights as we then had to travel to Paros. We will definitely visit again soon.
