My wife and I spent four nights at the Athens Grande Bretagne in early May 2024. It's a nice, older hotel. It has a nice view of the Acropolis from the 8th floor restaurant. The hotel is in a good part of town, just across the street from the Parliament building. We had a room facing outward from the hotel, towards the Parliament building. I always felt safe walking in the area. The room has all the normal amenities you’d expect in a luxury hotel, including a coffee maker, a mini-bar, a comfortable bed, nice linens and towels, etc. The room was fairly small, including the bathroom, which had one sink and a tub shower. Tub showers in a hotel are something I consider a real negative compared to a walk-in shower. We're getting older and it's too easy to slip and fall getting in and out of a tub. Just standing on that slippery round bottom of the tub leaves you unsteady, and the hotel didn’t even have a grab bar in the shower area (they had one low for a person sitting in the tub). I'll take comfort and safety over charm any day. The other problem I encountered was trying to get the hotel to respond to a reasonable request. We had four suitcases (two checked and two carry-on) but there was only one luggage stand and it was big enough for two suitcases. We requested two additional luggage stands so that we wouldn’t have to get down on the floor to access our suitcases. Next, we had a balcony, but the door was locked and required a key to open it. I requested that someone come and open it. Third, we requested a rubber mat for the tub to give better traction in the tub. I made these requests to the porters when they brought the luggage up and they assured us someone would be up shortly to take care of the requests. We waited but no one showed up. The next morning, I took a piece of paper with the three requests written on it to the reception desk and discussed the requests with a gentleman there. He assured me someone would take care of it. Nothing happened. We went out during the day and when we returned, we went to the reception desk and made the same requests again. This time someone did come up to the room with the luggage stands and rubber mat and opened the lock on the door. I felt that was a bit excessive for a hotel like the Grande Bretagne. On the good side, the staff was otherwise excellent and the breakfast in the 8th floor restaurant was very good. Of the issues, the most serious was the tub shower. I’d definitely look for a hotel with a walk-in shower next time.

Cannot find an email to get in touch with you. Regents Seven Seas Voyager has booked us for May 12, 13, 14, but we never received any confirmation. We have no idea if we actually have a room. We've been through so much lately with a family death and another family member in a horrific car accident. Making this trip could be therapeutic, but not if we have no room at your hotel. I cannot find any means to contact you. The phone number on your website says it cannot be connected. I've never seen a hotel without an email address. I called Marriott Bonvoy, but they could not help because we have no confirmation number. Due to all the heartache in our family, I also failed to have time nor the mental fortitude to make reservations at your rooftop restaurant, which was on our bucket list. I just need assurance that we have a hotel room and cannot seem to find a means to contact you. So I must rate your ability for others to communicate with you as poor at this time.

We stayed here with friends for 3 nights “pre cruise “. As others have said this is a true 5star luxury hotel. Every staff member goes above and beyond. The rooms were a good size, bathrooms were marble, and our room was quiet. Location is perfect for enjoying everything that Athens offers. We walked everywhere. And, after an exhausting day, the indoor pool and steam room were a great place to unwind. Breakfast choices were buffet and a la carte. This was our second time in Athens, and if we decide to ever return, we’d certainly enjoy booking here again

The hotel is awesome! The service and facilities are great. Rooms are a nice size as well as the bathrooms. The place is very clean and has a great lobby. We enjoyed High Tea is the hotel restaurant which was very elegant. Breakfast was excellent and the view of Acropolis was just breathtaking. The hotel is unique and so close to everything in Athens. We walked to all the major sightseeing spots! There were a lot of restaurants in the area. The Parliament Building is just across the street- don’t forget to see the Changing of the Guard on the hour at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier! Just a great place to stay!
