Stayed here for 4 nights in May 2024. Excellent hotel, room was spacious and clean, bed was firm and comfortable, bedding was clean and soft. I had plenty of towels, toiletries, water bottles, even a Nespresso machine with 4 different coffee pods. Location is perfect if you’re looking to walk the marina or downtown district. Service is good, everyone is very friendly. Only issue I had was with the request for a packed breakfast that was non-diary. They got it right the first time, got an egg salad sandwich which was great. But the other two mornings they gave me ham and cheese sandwiches. It was a bit surprising, but it didn’t ruin the overall experience. Buffet breakfast was solid - fresh bread, eggs, bacon, fruit. I would recommend this hotel to others. If you have a food allergy, be very clear and double check they understand what you cannot have.

I had an overnight layover in Auckland so chose to stay at the JW Marriott in CBD rather than a hotel at the airport. The location is great, with lots of shops and restaurant in the area. It is only 30mins from Auckland Airport by car. The hotel is bright modern and very nice. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Just what you expect from JW Marriott I would stay here again.

I have just experienced the worst mother’s high tea I have ever been to. On arrival we were plonked in the waiting area with no “ welcome drink” the live music was so overpowering in noise you couldn’t have a conversation after complaining 3 times nicely nothing changed . We were sat at our table with no offer of water until I asked and then had to ask for the welcome drink - half an hour later still no food until I asked and then a small platter of mixed entree turned up very average - patiently waited for the next course to arrive and had to wait - no nice little club sandwiches no tierrred stands , nothing special - good very average , poor service , staff disinterested - no Mother’s Day little gift . I have been to hotels for high tea for Mother’s Day for years and literally this is the worst - felt like we were in faulty towers , will never return -for $89 a head absolute waste of money and a poor experience

Hotel is located in a great location for exploring the city and beyond. But it’s the staff that I met that made it such a memorable trip. Kate and Pauline’s team in the bar were amazing, a special thanks to Khusboo, Shiva and Nat for their service and personalities that made it a fun visit there, also some great advice on where to go, great service and professionalism from them. Anna and Haruka, were both great hostesses at breakfast, every morning I was met by them with a warm smile and greeting and friendly service, they were a perfect start to the day before going to work and for always remembering my tea order even when I forgot to ask!! It was early!! Finally to all the staff at the concierge desk for assisting me with my endless requests for help with my printing work documents!! A great front desk team, thank you. As always you can have the fanciest hotel in the world but if you don’t have the right staff then it’s worthless, you won’t be disappointed with the staff here, very attentive and they made my stay as good as it was, thank you and I hope to see you again soon.
