Cordis, Auckland

Cordis is a must do with their buffet at 8 restaurant unbeatable for service, quality, and variety. The staff, valet parking, location and pool / sauna and gym make fir an exceptional stay for buisness or pleasure. (Or a combination of the two) We will definitely stay again!

Arriving in Auckland in the late morning, we went to the hotel well before check‑in, and the front desk already had a room ready for us. We ended up changing rooms twice before settling into an exquisite space on the 12th floor. Pros: The room was clean, nicely appointed, and offered a great view of the CBD and Sky Tower. We especially enjoyed the bathroom layout and the automatic shade separating the bathtub from the beds, and the beds themselves were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with delicious dishes from around the world; the highlight was the fresh honeycomb sourced from the hotel’s own rooftop hives. Langham properties are among our favorite hotel brands, and the Cordis Auckland fully lived up to that standard – we will be back. Cons: The only small downside was that the window blinds were not fully automated, which would have been a nice extra touch, but it was far from a deal breaker.

I was really impressed by the variety of food we could have for lunch. Fresh too. Thank you to the wait staff they were very friendly, one in particular, Nelson, he was very friendly, helpful and efficient. Great service for our work team lunch. Thank you! Would recommend going back for lunch that was yum :)

I rate this place highly. All issues were rectified promptly, amenities were awesome. Food and restaurant were on point. We had family here, great experience.

My stay at Cordis, Auckland by Langham Hospitality Group was consistently impressive from the moment I arrived. The hotel delivers exactly what a premium city property should: comfort, efficiency, and a clear focus on guest experience. The check-in process was smooth despite the lobby being busy, and the staff handled everything with professionalism rather than forced hospitality. They were attentive where it mattered — quick responses, accurate information, and zero unnecessary formality. The room stood out for its practicality and comfort. The bed quality is genuinely excellent, the lighting is well-thought-out, and the space feels fresh and modern. Small details like a well-stocked minibar, strong Wi-Fi, and quiet air-conditioning make it functional for both work and relaxation. Housekeeping did a spotless job each day without cutting corners. The Club Lounge deserves special mention. The food selection is well-curated rather than overwhelming, and the staff there are sharp, proactive, and consistent. It actually feels like an upgrade worth paying for. Breakfast at Eight Restaurant is another strong point. The variety is solid and the ingredients feel fresh — not the typical “big spread with mediocre quality” trap that many hotels fall into. The facilities reinforce the hotel’s premium feel. The heated rooftop pool is clean and well-maintained, and the spa area is calm, not chaotic. Even the gym is better equipped than what many so-called 5-star hotels provide. Location-wise, it’s slightly away from the waterfront action, but that works in its favor. It’s quiet, well-connected, and perfect if you want comfort without the tourist crowd. Overall, Cordis Auckland delivers a balanced mix of luxury and practicality. It’s not pretending to be something it’s not — it’s simply a well-run hotel with high standards, reliable service, and spaces that feel genuinely comfortable. I would choose it again without hesitation.
