I stayed at the Cordis for 2 nights. It was FANTASTIC from the very moment we got there, to the moment we left. We arrived a wee bit early, having asked on the booking reservation for a room “as high up as possible” we were greeted with a room upgrade, to their very best room that was available. Up on floor 15 of the Pinnacle Tower!!! The lovely lady(wish I got her name) checking us in was incredibly hospitable and made the check in process very special for us. We have never had an upgrade before, I was speechless! Getting to our corner room on floor 15 (21516) was just amazing. It had views of 3/4 of Auckland, the sky tower was RIGHT THERE. The harbour bridge and the ocean. I couldn’t believe it. The room was spacious with a seating area, a huge bed, window seating pads on the floor to ceiling windows, so you could sit at the window. The shower was huge and had great water pressure. The rain shower was also a nice surprise. The amenities/freebies in the fridge were cool and were enjoyed. The pool is so warm and a lovely spot to relax, in each genders change room there is a herbal steam room, sauna, snail shower etc. They provide towels, robes and slippers provided in the rooms. I didn’t have a spa treatment, but thinking it might be a must-do next time! The staff at the Our Land Bar were very helpful and friendly. You also get 15% off your bill there 🥂 The buffet breakfast is a MUST while you stay here, we did it both mornings, the food is insanely good, endless options, something for everyone! The older gentleman who seemed to be running the place at 9.30am on Thursday 5 Feb was fantastic. He was so friendly and interested in everyone. I wish I got his name also. We were graciously given a complimentary late checkout (an extra hour) and allowed to use the pool/spa service until it was time to head to the airport. Brent was a great and friendly chat out the front while waiting for the Ubers. Overall it was an utter amazing experience. All of the staff we interacted with were friendly and great to deal with. I couldn’t recommend The Cordis more highly. Thank you for the best couple of nights in Auckland! As a first timer at The Cordis, you have gained a lifelong supporter, and we will be back the next time a concert requires our attendance!!! Thank you so much, Yasmin and Ollie Oates.

Every part of this experience was well thought through and executed perfectly. From staff to breakfast, little to none improvements could be made. Technological investment into the check in and out process was the icing on the cake. I can’t wait to stay here again.

The room was clean, comfortable, and well laid out, making our stay very relaxing. Breakfast had plenty of options and was beautifully presented. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere overall, would definitely stay here again.

Cordis is a jewel in the heart of Auckland Central. This is the place to stay when in Auckland. It's centrally located, clean, has all amenities backed by smiling and friendly staff and supervisors. We will be back again and again hopefully.

The Cordis Hotel is a very modern and sleek hotel. The rooms are furnished in a modern/art deco style and the beds and pillows are extremely comfortable. Try to get a room in the VIP level where you have access to their Concierge lounge, which is basically open for drinks, snacks, breakfast, afternoon tea, Etc, and the food is very good in the VIP lounge. The only drawback is the issue of privacy in the bathrooms. They have a big plate glass window besides the bathtub, which is open to the bed/sleeping area. In addition, the toilet/ commode area is completely open as well. So if you’re shy about such things, this hotel might not be for you. But it has excellent service, friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere. It also supplies every hour on the hour a shuttle bus to the main shopping area or to the museums.
