We were fortunate enough to be gifted a special package that included breakfast and dinner at the lovely Eight restaurant. Having stayed under the Langham brand previously we were very impressed by the lovely refurbishment. Everything was so light and airy. Check in staff were wonderful, and we were lucky enough to get an upgrade to a beautiful suite. That was the icing on the cake to a perfect weekend The pool was a real treat on a hot day. My only complaint was the $10 charge added to food ordered at the pool. To me, that is part of the service provided and the additional charge seemed excessive. We look forward to coming back

We loved our room, very spacious, clean and comfortable. Right off one of the main drags through town so centrally located. Auckland has really grown up. Big changes since our last visit 7 years ago. The lunch buffets are not to be missed. Not cheap but well worth the effort. Skip breakfast and go to the lunch buffet. No complaints all good

I stayed two nights at the Cordis in Auckland for a company conference recently and was pleasantly surprised to find a stylie, modern, clean, well serviced inner city hotel, with great staff. Everything was well up to the mark, and the beds were the most comfortable I think I've ever slept in! Breakfast provided a great variety and good quality of food, although the espresso coffee took a while to come and may have been 'forgotten' one morning, due to the share numbers of people dining there. I met one gentleman from Atlanta who popped over for breakfast in this hotel from one nearby, due to the quality and value of the breakfasts. I'd highly recommend this hotel for any stay in Auckland.

Was up in Auckland for business and we stayed at this hotel. It's changed from the Langham to the Cordis. The check in was quick, in fact I could have checked in 10 times by the time the lift arrived and then it took forever to get to the floor. The room was clean and I did like the big thick pillow. Had some cell phone that you could use to get around, but said you had to agree to the conditions before moving on and wasn't sure it it was free or you had to pay (it mentioned contracts in the text) so never tried it. Overall the hotel wasn't anything special, but the restaurant downstairs was very nice.

This is the first time I’ve stayed here as the Cordis. I had previously stayed as The Langham. Rooms are very comfortable and well presented. Bathrooms are fresh and clean. Beds super comfortable. The public toilet areas have Molten Brown hand wash, but unfortunately the rooms themselves do not. Staff and service is pleasant. The location is not great, however, so forget walking to local restaurants. I enjoyed my stay. I wish it had been longer.
