Amazing Staff worthy of commendation
Please recognize your outstanding staff members in your Eight Restaurant, Claire and Nima. In two years of coming here as flight crew, Claire has always been friendly, approachable and considerate. I always appreciate her making all guests feel comfortable. Nima has a great sense of humor and welcoming personality. Both ladies have a passion for service for others. As an American, those traits are sorely lacking these days and I will return often because of these ladies.

Classy hotel
I stayed here for 10 days for a convention. The rooms are nice and comfortable. The bed is comfortable. The morning breakfast buffet is very good with many options. The location is very convenient to publis transit, the highway, restaurants, parks and eden park. There is a shuttle every hour that goes to the Harbour and cruise port area. It was a busy stay between the convention, cruise vacationers and airline crew customers. Upon arrival my room was not available for 2 hours. The hotel is quiet. The hot tub and pool is great. I especially likely the adult only hours in the morning and evening. Staff was cordial. I would recommend the Cordis.

Lots of fun
The staff are amazing , top notch!!! The hotel was kinda dirty… windows carpets shower edges. No coffee amenities in the room.

Great place but you need to know
The Cordis in Auckland was a very nice place with all one could want. There are a few things to be aware of: the shower floor is extremely slippery, the transitions in the flooring are a tripping risk and there is no means of heating up food in the room (at least not in our room). We loved our stay and would stay again. The staff is so easy to deal with very accommodating. One more thing, if you want real cream for your coffee you’ll have to get your own. It’s not the custom here to put cream in your coffee.

Overall disappointed and not what I would expect from 5* hotel
Room wasn't ready when we arrived at 3pm (checkin time). Had to wait 30 minutes which after a day of travelling was frustrating for us and the children. No offer of "please use the spa facilities while you wait..." Our rooms were not made up the next day despite being out from 8am - 5pm and leaving the "please make up our room" notification on the door. When we got back I had to ask them 3 times to come and make up the room and eventually asked concierge when we went out for dinner. It was our last 2 days in New Zealand so we wanted to stay somewhere special that would reflect what a brilliant holiday we had but were sadly a bit let down by The Cordis. The rooms were comfortable but the service was dreadful. The waiters in the restaurant at breakfast were rude and grumpy. I know it was New Year and they were having to work but I didn't want to feel sorry for them!
