Founded in 1789, the storybook Village of Aurora is situated on the calm shores of Cayuga Lake in the heart of New York’s premier wine region. Designated as a National Historic District and under one square mile, Aurora is a peaceful respite from our busy world. The five Inns of Aurora—along with a world-class spa, farm-to-table restaurant, casual pub, village market, activities center, and demonstration kitchen—are tucked into this charming setting, all within easy walking distance on Aurora’s elm-lined Main Street.

Beautiful property but you will pay High End prices. Nothing is included except a granola bar and a evening glass of wine. The staff was gracious, property and rooms well maintained. I was very disappointed to receive a second invoice after checking out for a glass of wine that was at the "included" hour. That was clearly a downer on an otherwise nice get away. Bring your checkbook, this is fairly overpriced.

Finally, I got to experience the Spa, a lovely place with incredible lake views. The facility is top-notch and well-maintained. I like the fact that they provide you with a salad bar and soup, which was awesome, and I didn't realize that. I find the facility better maintained than the spa in Skaneateles. Granted, Aurora is newer. Plus, they allow more daylight/sunshine into the building and into the treatment rooms, which I like vs. a dark spa-like Mirabeau in Skan. I would choose Aurora over Mirabeau because the facility is nicer plus lot closer to wineries.

The customer service is atrocious- was gifted this stay and they took my credit card to “cover incidentals” and didn’t disclose the $30 something taxes they would charge on my card. It’s the principle for me- when I called their customer service - who was truly awful - she kept saying she didn’t understand why I was frustrated with a charge that was never disclosed when they took my credit card when I checked in. Honestly I’m surprised she’s in customer service for this high quality inn because she is more suited to be working at a McDonald’s the way she spoke to me - anyway I was definitely going to book another stay but now with this experience, I’ll find another spa/inn to spend my hard earned dollars on. Will never set foot in this place again. Otherwise the spa and the people at the spa were wonderful - the actual inn… no thanks, I only do business with people that disclose charges before they swipe my card and please avoid the song and dance of “our hidden charges are disclosed in the receipt on Expedia for the person that purchased the gift” …. Such shady business practices. Hope they do some quality improvement and improve their customer service.

Inns of Aurora Spa is a lovely destination. The spa features hydrotherapy, sauna, steam room, locker rooms with showers and bathrobes, and a lovely cafe and sanctuary. Arrive early and spend the day. Food at the cafe was included with the pedicure service as a summer special.

We stayed at the original Inn of Aurora and then EB Morgan House. Both were spectacular. We were impressed by the service and caliber of the rooms, innkeepers, etc. Hiking trails were great; yoga classes plentiful; activities if you wanted... The spa was among the best we have ever visited around the world. We would 100% recommend a visit to Aurora.
