I enjoyed our short visit to The Driskill. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff accommodating, friendly and courteous. The hotel itself is beautiful, well kept and clean. The decor was inviting with plenty of places to sit and enjoy conversation and coffee from the cafe or the bar. Music was not so loud that we couldn't hear each other. Centrally located near bars and restaurants on 6th street and half mile away from a beautiful Catholic Church. My room was small but well appointed. Nespresso machine, small refrigerator, SOFT, fluffy towels and two robes. The bed was softer than my liking, but I slept well. There is some noise to be heard, but nothing to raise an issue. Housekeeping staff cleaned the rooms daily which was unexpected. I’ve read that there isn’t much of a view—there isn’t, but the hotel itself * IS * the scenery. I did have a few flickering light incidents --- I'm told that it was Samantha, one of the ghosts that reside there. :)

The Driskill offers a perfect blend of historic charm and modern luxury. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with exceptional service that made our stay truly memorable. The rooms were beautifully luxurious, and the delicious dining options at the 1886 Cafe and Driskill Bar and Grill added to the overall experience. The memories we made during our stay will truly be unforgettable. Can't wait to visit again!

Staff services were slow. One of the morning, there is no hot water and the guests were not well informed in advance until I have to call the front desk before I realize it will not be available the whole day.

In a post-covid world where service expectations are diminished, we were pleasantly surprised by the level of attentiveness and service. Thank you!
