About the Hotel
Surrounded by nothing but turquoise lagoon which melts into sapphire blue, the Maldives luxury resort island of Anantara Kihavah and its pure white sands rise up out of the ocean like a mirage. For centuries, this was where Arab traders sailing to the Far East took shelter; a lush paradise blessed by coconut, papaya and mango trees. Navigating archipelago to archipelago by the stars, the seafarers were also drawn by the riches of the ocean surrounding the island – where a prehistoric volcano sank back into the depths, leaving blooming corals within a house reef and a wealth of lagoon fish. Wishing to keep the pristine nature of the island intact, not one tree has been moved – as evidenced by the villas growing up around them. The design pays homage to the seafarers of old, fusing Indian Ocean, Arab and Portuguese motifs with indigenous materials. Island vacation
The service was impeccable. There were so many activities on the island. The island and the hotel villa was fabulous. The food at the restaurants were really good and authentic. Had a wonderful relaxing and happy experience at Anantara. Will definitely be back.

Enjoy the cozy, peaceful time with family.
We stayed the villa over the water, Stunning scenery. we are getting good vibes from this place. all meal excellent. my son love spaghetti carbonara at Italian restaurant. The staff are friendly. especially Tina, she took excellent, warm care of our family.

Just wonderful
We stayed in the family villas over the ocean and on the beach and can wholeheartedly recommend both. It was a good as we were picturing based on reviews and web research: very scenic, extremely well kept, high end without being pretentious. Food was excellent in all restaurants and the activities kept us busy for the full week stay. Service was impeccable (Zhidan for the win!). We could genuinely relax and recharge.

Paradise on earth
A truly wonderful second trip to Anantara Kihava. A great surprise to be welcomed on the jetty by Piyal as our private butler for the trip (as we were lucky enough to have Piyal for our first visit and remembered him with great fondness ever since!) well he didn’t disappoint. Every care and need was looked after with efficiency and charm by Piyal! We really did not want to leave him behind. The hotel is a wonderful paradise with the most beautiful water villa set up both externally and internally. The food, the service and all the staff are first class. If you are thinking of visiting this resort, do it! Thank you for more incredible family memories which we will cherish forever.
