Surrounded by nothing but turquoise lagoon which melts into sapphire blue, the Maldives luxury resort island of Anantara Kihavah and its pure white sands rise up out of the ocean like a mirage. For centuries, this was where Arab traders sailing to the Far East took shelter; a lush paradise blessed by coconut, papaya and mango trees. Navigating archipelago to archipelago by the stars, the seafarers were also drawn by the riches of the ocean surrounding the island – where a prehistoric volcano sank back into the depths, leaving blooming corals within a house reef and a wealth of lagoon fish. Wishing to keep the pristine nature of the island intact, not one tree has been moved – as evidenced by the villas growing up around them. The design pays homage to the seafarers of old, fusing Indian Ocean, Arab and Portuguese motifs with indigenous materials. Located on the Baa Atoll in a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas invites you to imagine your own barefoot luxury paradise. Savour the luxury of space in your private pool beach villa or over water villa. Snorkel with mantas and Hawksbill sea turtles. Stargaze into the night. Dine on a deserted sandbank or beneath the ocean’s surface at this enchanting sanctuary

It was our first arrived to Anantara Kihavah Maldives! Our family decided to selebrate the New Year on this beautiful island! We can not forget until today white-sand beaches, crystal-clear turquoise water, amazing diving, islands birds and tropical plants. It feels like stepping straight into a postcard. The service was absolutely outstanding. Every staff member we met was warm, attentive, and genuinely focused on making our stay perfect. We want to say deep thank you, for our every day guide and now our friend Zaheen! We would also like to share our deepest gratitude for the marvelous spa team, especially Masters Ram Sharath and Vinod Narayanan. Their professionalism, skill, and calming presence made every treatment unforgettable. A huge thank you, as well to Muay Thai Master Michael, whose energy, passion, and expertise made the training sessions both exciting and inspiring. It was one of the highlights of our stay! We highly recommended to anyone who looking for luxury, relaxation, and unforgettable vacation!

The most wonderful resort. The villas are luxurious, the beach is beautiful, the diving is great, the food is amazing and the staff are all lovely. Thank you. What a special way to spend Christmas.

Initially we didn’t like our room for various reasons, however, our butler Ifoo resolved all our concerns in a matter of hours. We were provided with an appropriate type of compensation which significantly improved our mood for the whole stay. Throughout the time we spent in Anantara, Ifoo was proactive, reliabie, professional and friendly at the same time. Him and Tini (the hotel babysitter) made sure that my 1 year old toddler always had great fun and ate his favorite meals. Whenever I needed to get something extra like nappies or sudocream Ifoo was able to fly them in on the next available flight. Overall we had an amazing holiday, service was one of the best I have personally encountered (we have been to multiple hotels in the Maldives). The only thing that we definitely did not enjoy was the famed Michelin Star restaurant! Food was absolutely awful and overpriced. I recommend going to the Asian restaurant!

We had a wonderful stay at Anantara Kihavah. Our butler, Piyal, was exceptional - always patient, helpful, and genuinely warm. He greeted us each day with a big smile and made us feel consistently looked after without ever being intrusive. His presence was what made our stay special. The food was very good overall, with enough restaurant options that we felt there was a nice variety throughout our time there. We also loved having bicycles and appreciated that the island is large enough to explore - this added a sense of freedom and discovery that we really enjoyed. The reef was beautiful and among the prettiest we’ve seen. When we first arrived, we were unfortunately placed in a room that was exactly what we had written ahead to avoid. We raised the issue immediately, and while we did need to stay one night in that room - which was frustrating, as we couldn’t unpack and settle in - the resort handled the situation professionally and moved us the next day to a much better room (217, on the opposite side of the overwater villas). While the initial hiccup was frustrating, it was resolved as quickly as possible, and it didn't overshadow the rest of our stay. One thing worth noting is that the resort does feel a bit more established than some newer Maldivian properties we’ve visited. There were small signs of wear - scratches on furniture, some aging finishes, and bathroom amenities that showed use. These were minor details and didn’t detract from our enjoyment, but with a bit more attention to these touches, the experience could feel even more elevated.

It was an amazing experience because of three people ( Muaa, Reji and Almas) from Manzaru restaurent and our perfect butler Tina! They are the best!
