What can I say about this amazing holiday. As soon as you come through arrivals at Male airport we met the Coco Palm team at the desk. They were very polite and professional and helped us to the seaplane desk. We checked our luggage in ( note your allowed 25kg case and a 5kg hand luggage bag otherwise seaplane airline TMA will charge for excess weight ) we were over a bit but only cost $68.00. From there you catch the private bus to the seaplane terminal, 10 mins away. We were met by a coco palm lady and signed in. We were then taken to a private air conditioned suite to wait for the seaplane. Lovely room with complimentary drinks and a great outside terrace you could watch the seaplanes from. 1/2 hour we then went and boarded the seaplane. 35 minute flight with amazing views of other islands. You land just off the island and meet by the hotels speed boat were you are taken to the Coco Palm Island. As soon as you dock we were met by several staff and general manager Brandon. I forgot to mention as soon as your met by the coco Palm team at Male airport you don't touch your luggage again, it's all taken care of and it's taken to your room - very nice. Quick check in and then to our room, we had a sunset villa number 6, OMG so beautiful and immaculately clean. Loved the shower and toilet outside the back of the villa. The villa is big enough & plentiful with a super comfy large bed. we had a short private sandy walkway through the trees to the amazing beach where our beach loungers were with a private alcove with shaded canopy. This is paradise...From this moment on our stress levels went from 500 to zero instantly.... We stayed 14 nights on half board where the food was first class and plentiful. We ate at the main restaurant were the staff made you feel relaxed but they do run a very tight ship here - very impressive. Drinks are at a cost but not excessive but if you're a big drinker maybe go all inclusive?? A beer is $8, glass of wine $9, gin $9 & tonic water $4, Note - everything has an additional 10% service charge and 12% tax on top. Tip: we like our Gin so I bought a litre bottle of Bombay Spice from hotel at $110 which sounds a lot but works out cheaper and we could drink this at gin o'clock on the beach in our alcove. Note: we packed a bottle of gin with us but you will not get it through customs at Male airport, they do not allow any alcohol into the country from passengers. Even duty free you can not take with you. They take it off you at arrivals customs and give you a receipt where you can collect it when you depart at checkin. The island is subject to erosion where they are using sand bags to prevent this. This is unfortunately part of the Maldives but impressed with there commitment in preserving the island. The whole island is immaculately kept and has an amazingly natural tropical feel. Snorkelling was great but the bleaching of the coral in 2016 has hit the Maldives hard. The coral is growing back but sadly there is a lot of dead coral. The fish were plentiful, We saw a black tip shark, a large octopus lots of small sting rays and were fortunate to see a large 6-8 foot sting ray one late afternoon apart from a million other colourful fish. Excursions: we went on the fishing trip - brilliant and caught three fish between us, sunset was amazing from the boat. All over body massage for two on our last day which was a must. And it was my partners birthday whilst we were there so for a surprise I booked the 'plant a coconut tree'. Sounds a bit ?!? But you chose the wording on the wooded plaque & where you want him to go. There are many coconut trees that have been planted from years ago and the trees are getting bigger. On the island there is a turtle rescue centre 'Olive Ridley' centre. There are a few poorly turtles being cared for and you can watch them being fed twice a day as well as learning all about this incredible creature, absolutely brilliant... The weather was fantastic and there was rain mainly before sunrise in the morning. In our 14 days we had about three rainy bits that lasted about two to three minutes then back to sunshine... When we left again the staff and manager Brandon walked with us to the jetty were the speed boat takes you to met the seaplane. They all waved as the boat left... Overall: this is a truly tropical lush island with beautiful beaches & amazing sea life with picturesque views that you see on post cards and magazines. All the staff here are genuine and polite with nothing is too much trouble. I can't rate Coco Palm resort highly enough - minimum 5 star...This was more than a holiday, this was an experience like no other experience we have ever had. Thank you everyone at Coco Palm

Don't read any other review, I did and was worried we'd chosen the wrong Island. What was I thinking. From the minute we arrived we fell in love with the beautiful Island of Coco Palm. The staff are so fiendley the food is excellent and room was stunning. The turtle sanctuary was so interesting and we had to check them out every day to see how they were getting on. The $11 optional donation added to our bill was well worth it. The girls in the spa are very sweet and the treatments were worth every penny. The BBQ on the beach was excellent and we had a special personal dinner on the beach for my birthday and it made the day even more memorable. Yes there are some sandbags around in just a couple of areas, I'm sure every island has them, there fighting against the tyed all the time but it is something that we felt you have to accept if your going to a paradise island that is only meters above sea level. It in no was detracted from our amazing holiday and We're already planning when we can go back ๐Ÿน๐ŸŒดโ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ’ž

It was a pleasure to spend two weeks at Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu. All the employees are very friendly and obliging. Our Deluxe Bungalow was very nice and clean. You can enjoy such tasty food at Cowries restaurant and lovely waiters every single day. Also surprising is the handling with sustainbility, beginning in the use of glass instead of plastic and ending up at the Olive Ridley Turtle Rescue Center <3 In summary we can tell Coco Palm a very special and great resort which we will visit again for sure. Thank you guys for having us!

We have just got back from spending 10days here and had a fantastic time. We were greated as soon as we got off the seaplane. All the staff are very friendly especially SK and Abul at the beach bar who looked after us with our drinks and made a good cocktail. The food was very good for a buffet and the Thai restaurant was also nice and lovely eating under the stars. The only thing i could fault is the drinks in the mini bar not being included if you're all inclusive. At times it felt like we were the only people on the island, it was so relaxing and just felt like paradise. I love the rustic feel and how the island wasn't over crowed like some of the others. I don't normally like to go back somewhere twice but we will definitely be back in a couple of years.
