The road less traveled promises a more interesting journey. The same principle holds true for a resort with fewer rooms - each boast its own unique style and charm. At least this is the case at the lovely Casa Ceibo, whose 18 luxury retreats showcase some of most luxurious accommodations in Ecuador. Lying a mere 20-minute stroll from the equator, this sizzling location features perfectly arched windows, impeccably polished wooden floors, elegant French doors and exquisite furnishings completed by local artisans. A balmy ocean breeze dances through the charming inn, which is also equipped with impressive modern amenities not commonly associated with such a slowed pace of living - additions like an innovative water filtration system with reverse osmosis, for example.

A lovely warm welcome with home made lemon/lime drink. After a boat trip to Corozan island, we toured the hotel which is beautiful with locally sourced wood. They also layed on a fantastic lunch for a small group. It was delicious. Thank you! ( Regent Splendor)

Wonderful set menu 3 courses plus cocktail and dinner wine. Great appetizers, great deserts Beautiful place and really nice people. Everything was well prepared and tasty. Highly recommend this place for an enjoyable night out. Our chef is from Peru and he was a real pleasure to speak with.

This review if for the restaurant. We had previously stayed at this hotel and loved it. We just relocated to Ecuador from the US and decided to celebrate our anniversary at Casa Ceibo. We called two days in advance and made reservations. We arrived on time and we were asked to wait downstairs as a family with children was upstairs. Thought this was a strange request. After 20 minutes I asked to please be seated at our table. The table next to us had several women and children. The children were totally out of control, listening to games on their phones at full volume, opening and slamming doors, playing with trucks on the floor. Our chef came out and sat with this family. We asked our waitress for assistance and she just shrugged her shoulders. It was fine dining in a day care setting. Will never return.

Rosi was a fantastic host! Our family of 4 had a great stay at their hotel. Our rooms were comfortable and always kept clean and tidy. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The highlight of the trip was a kayak trip arranged by the hotel! Highly recommended!!

This is a wonderful hotel, refined without ostentation, tastefully designed and decorated. There's nothing wrong with modern hotels but they can't compare with a place like this, where wooden floors and ceilings go along with fine wood furniture. Large rooms, high ceilings, French doors opening to a balcony looking over the pool as offering a view of the large garden... A really nice place, with personalised attention, offering a high value for the cost.
