We had a terrible experience here for multiple reasons. I have reached out to the hotel via their website and have received no response to resolve anything. To start, the valet broke the driver side mirror on my vehicle, and said it would be fixed before I left. This didn't happen, which meant I had to drive 10+ hours unsafely because I literally couldn't see out of it to return home. Not to mention having to leave my vehicle at the hotel so that they would have access to it for the repair (which again, didn't happen) I was forced to Uber for most of my vacation, costing me quite a bit of money. I was put in a room with no ocean view, even though that is what I paid for. I can understand that mistakes happen, but the manager on duty that night told me, "they are completely aware of the view being completely blocked" in that room, as well as others on floor 3. So they just don't care to provide what you pay for. Instead you have to call them out on it for a resolution, and then get moved to a dirty room. When I checked out at 8 am, there was not a single manager on the property. This means I couldn't get anything in writing to fulfill the verbal promises from the valet staff to reimburse me for fixing my vehicle. As well, I would avoid getting your car valet parked here, I noticed that the valet key box is unlocked and often unattended. TLDR Valet damaged my vehicle, I was put in the wrong room, dirty room and management does not care. In all truth, I have lots of reviews. I am pretty easy to please, but this place completely misses the mark in every level.

**★☆☆☆☆ Absolutely Horrible Experience – Stay Away** I stayed at the Grand Beach Surfside from May 30 to June 4, and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. To start, one of the **main pools was closed** for nearly our entire stay, with staff repeatedly assuring us it would be "opening tomorrow"—it never did. This was one of the main reasons we booked this property, and it felt like a bait-and-switch. Worse yet, my **wife and 6-month-old daughter were trapped in an elevator** that was supposedly “in service,” but there were **no signs or warnings** posted. A terrifying and completely preventable incident that the hotel staff seemed indifferent about. The room itself was **unsafe**—the bathroom door was falling off the hinges, and the entry door wouldn’t close unless you slammed it shut with full force. Extremely concerning, especially for families with small children. There was **constant construction** going on at all hours of the day, making any rest or relaxation impossible. When we tried to raise these issues, **managers Melissa and Jane were completely dismissive and showed no compassion whatsoever**. Their service was honestly disgusting. To make things worse, the **drinks were watered down**, and every single bill came with **bogus charges** that had to be disputed. It felt like we were being nickel-and-dimed at every turn. The only redeeming quality? The chia pudding at breakfast. That’s it. **I will never return to this hotel and strongly advise others to avoid it.** There is absolutely nothing “grand” about the Grand Beach Surfside.

I’ve stayed at nearly 250 hotels over the past decade—both for business and leisure—and I’ve seen the good, the bad, and the mediocre. But never in my life have I encountered a hotel this reckless, filthy, and unapologetically rude. Let’s start with the most horrifying part: ➡️ A massive closet panel collapsed and slammed into my father's leg, causing a serious injury that required medical attention. The hotel’s manager (Melissa) showed zero concern until her superior arrived—cold, dismissive, and shockingly unprofessional. Safety clearly means nothing to this place. ➡️ The hotel is old, run-down, and deceptively photographed. It may look nice in pictures, but what you get is cheap, flimsy renovation work and rooms that are dirty and poorly maintained. Dust, grime, and a general feeling of neglect. ➡️ Nonstop construction noise from 7AM to 5PM just two doors down from us — every single day. The hotel didn’t care until we practically begged them to respond after the injury. Guests are clearly not a priority. ➡️ While some of the front desk staff tried to help, Melissa, the manager, was astonishingly rude—like a real-life version of the White Lotus hotel manager, only worse. Her attitude was toxic and unacceptable. Yes, the hotel is right on the beach. But I’ve been to South Florida over 20 times, and I can promise you: you’ll find better hotels with better service, cleaner rooms, and most importantly, a basic sense of safety and decency. Bottom line: This hotel is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Stay far, far away.

I just want to take a moment to recognize Edson Belfond, Valet Director, and his entire valet team they are absolutely outstanding! From the moment you arrive, their professionalism, courtesy, and attention to detail truly stand out. Edson leads by example, and it’s clear that the whole team takes pride in providing excellent service. They’re always prompt, respectful, and go the extra mile to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience. Whether it’s during busy hours or quieter moments, their consistency and dedication never waver. A big thank you to Edson and the entire valet crew you all make a fantastic first and last impression every single time!
