Your resort is terrible, the customer service is awful, and the manager is also terrible and knows nothing about resort standards or guest comfort. Honestly, it's an experience I will never repeat, and I advise against visiting this failed resort. I have already told travel agencies not to deal with them because they are a complete failure.

We booked Le Jadis expecting a 5-star luxury experience. While the setting is lovely and most staff are polite (4/5), the resort severely falls short of its high price point and luxury claims. Key Takeaways & Drawbacks: Food & Dining (1/5): The biggest letdown. Bland, repetitive Western/English dishes with zero variety. No proper Indian options or traditional Indian chai—just basic black tea. Restrictive Operations & High Fees: Dining hours are rigid (no food at 11:30 AM, 5 PM, or 6 PM). Ordering room service incurs an ~INR 800 delivery fee for a tiny menu. Basic water costs ~INR 400 per 500ml. Service Annoyances: Restaurant staff repeatedly asked for our room number up to four times per meal, turning dining into a tedious verification exercise. Check-In Policy: Rigid 2 PM check-in with zero early flexibility. Dated Rooms (3/5): Squeaky wooden floors, outdated decor, and no full-length mirror. The property urgently needs a full renovation. Subpar Facilities: Pool & Beach: Sand-filled swimming pool; the "private beach" is too rocky to walk into comfortably. Spa & Gym: Spa prices start at an excessive ~INR 12,000. We couldn't find a proper gym—a huge red flag for a "wellness" resort. Recreation & Kids: The kids' play area was in terrible condition with broken toys ("looked haunted"), while the pool and table tennis tables were poorly maintained. Isolated Location: Located ~6 km from outside options or shops, making the restrictive hotel dining even more frustrating. Damaged Luggage at Checkout: During our 5:30 AM departure, the night manager dropped and damaged our trolley bag down the stairs, didn't inform us, and offered no apology. Mauritius Travel Tips: Outside tourist hubs, shops close early. Carry local currency, Euros, or USD, and convert leftover Rupees before passing airport security. Summary Category Ratings: Food: 1/5 | Kids' Area: 1/5 | Checkout: 1/5 Beach: 2/5 | Recreation: 2/5 | Pool & Ambience: 2.5/5 Rooms: 3/5 | Staff: 4/5 Final Verdict (2.5/5): Le Jadis relies on its beautiful location, but poor maintenance, terrible food, rigid rules, and high prices ruin the experience. We would not return or recommend it—especially to families or Indian travelers who value good cuisine. Look elsewhere in Mauritius for true 5-star luxury.

My husband and I returned from a month long stay at “Le Jadis” and it was absolutely magical. We were fortunate to stay in one of the most beautiful suites with a private heated dipping pool and a magnificent view of the lush gardens. Waking up to that view every morning felt like a dream. The hotel is truly 5 star plus In every sense. The grounds are stunning, the service is impeccable and the attention to detail is everywhere. A heartfelt thank you to the staff, Kieran, MRinal and the receptionists, Arvin, Sonah, Viraj, Julien, Renu , Rika and the young man at the egg station - your warmth, kindness and genuine care made us feel like family and made our stay so special. The dining was exceptional. Chef Suardi’s red grouper fish dish new recipe was delicious, absolute divine and something we will remember forever. Other unforgettable moments: the breathtaking sunsets every evening and the catamaran ride to see the dolphins. Pure magic. Le Jadis is more than a Luxury Spa Resort, it is an experience of pure beauty, peace, and genuine Mauritian hospitality. We left with full hearts and incredible memories, and we cannot wait to return. Highly, highly recommend.

**A Wonderful Family Stay at Le Jadis** My wife had heard some very good reviews about Le Jadis from her friends and was keen for us to give the hotel a try for our family holiday. We are glad we did, as overall we had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. A special mention to **Sonah from the F&B team**, who was extremely helpful and attentive. We particularly appreciated his prompt action when our one-year-old son was bitten by mosquitoes during the night. His responsiveness and care were genuinely appreciated. The food was very good at both **Oryza and Sylea restaurants**, with great quality and variety. We were also given a dedicated table in the garden, which was very convenient for us with our little son. He enjoyed walking around during breakfast and dinner, making mealtimes much more relaxed for us as parents. Our room was very cosy and well maintained. We also appreciated the size of the hotel. It is quite small compared to other 5 stars hotel in Mauritius, which was a real advantage for us as a family with young children, as we didn't have to travel long distances between our room, restaurants and other facilities. There were, however, a couple of areas that could be improved. Unfortunately, the **booking team did not appear to have taken our 9-year-old daughter into consideration**, and the sofa bed had not been prepared for her upon our arrival. We had to contact the team to have this arranged. Better attention to the booking details would have avoided this inconvenience. The **main swimming pool area also needed some attention and maintenance** during our stay. That said, we would like to acknowledge **Dylan, the Assistant Maintenance Manager**, who responded promptly when this was brought to his attention. His responsiveness was appreciated. Apart from these points, we genuinely enjoyed our stay at Le Jadis. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, good food and a very convenient layout for families with children. **We would definitely recommend Le Jadis to our friends would encourage them to consider it for their next holiday. We would also be happy to return in the future.**

Great stay for our honeymoon, private pool and haman with great bath in room. We had destination dining which didn’t go to plan the first night however was offered it again and a different menu on another night which was absolutely wonderful and full of love and care. Floating breakfast was a great concept and we loved it. Staff were super attentive, could not do enough for us and were happy to support when we were not satisfied. This was a luxury stay for us and we will remember it forever.
