Idyllic setting…beautiful jungle surroundings and staff were all so efficient and friendly. Room was lovely with outside shower and bath - unique enjoyable experience adding to authenticity

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon break. The hotel grounds are very impressive, all lit up and the swimming pool was exceptional!! They provided towels and water for you and there was a good drinks/menu for food. The monkeys did come and visit whilst at the pool, which was an added bit of entertainment. The breakfast menu was great, enjoyed every morning. The staff were extremely polite and friendly, credit to the hotel. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star review is the room was a bit of a let down compared to the rest of the hotel. The decor is lacking, it is in need of a freshen up to make it more appealing for people to continue going there. The hotel is about 20mins drive from Ubud centre, but they do a shuttle bus to and from which was useful. If you are looking for a tranquil, relaxing break in the jungle, away from Ubud busyness, this is your place. If you prefer to be more central and “in amongst it” this maybe isn’t for you.

Positive aspects: - Charming, friendly and most welcoming staff - thx for the great experience - Excellent à la breakfast (daily menu changes, healthy options, good coffee) - Meals are always well presented and great quality - Outdoor bathrooms are a great experience - Nice, big and clean rooms - Good gym with nice variety of machines and free weights - Free shuttle service to Ubud twice a day - Grounds and garden well maintained - Large infinity pool - Feeling of being in the middle of the jungle Room for improvement: - Doors/windows to rooms don’t close all the way, which might allow insects to come in (mosquito coils available) - There’s a hook above the bed but no mosquito net - would be nice to have one - Only one key per room - It can be a little damp in the room (difficult to dry clothes/shoes if they got wet) - No makeup mirror in the bathroom - Light in the bathroom isn’t very bright (difficult for shaving and doing makeup) - More shuttle options would be great (we would pay for it obviously, taxi situation in Ubud can be a little difficult)

This hotel has it all. Great location, stunning views. The service and staff are the best at all times.
