We stayed here with 2 young children for 5 days. The hotel staff were exceptional right from the moment we stepped in. We have been to Bali many times but this is our first stay at Banyan Tree. My kids are so in. Live with this place, we will definitely be back! The in- villa barbecue was very nice. Our server, Herman was a very friendly young chap. He was very good at entertaining the children. The Balinese massage was also very good, it was so good we booked another session right after. We would like to thank the staff at the kids club for watching our children while we were enjoying at the spa. Oh and I would like to add we got a free upgrade to a seaview villa! A very enjoyable stay. Thanks to everyone at Banyan Tree

After not writing any hotel reviews for an extended period of time I had no choice but to pen down my thoughts and provide some feedback both for the Hotel operator as well as fellow travellers: Pros: First impressions are stunning, opening the bedroom and lounge doors that immediately connect you to stunning infinity pool with great outlooks (Views vary dependent on your room category) Overall Villa is exceptionally large and spacious The staff are absolutely stunning and go out of their way to provide the exceptional service that Bali is renowned for Beach is a short buggy ride and about 5 minutes walk down (quite) a few stairs. They have their own dedicated lounges and attendant with water provided. The current at the beach is very strong, however is good for a dip. There is some small food stalls, beers and massage available at the beach as well. Wish we had spent more time at the beach as this was one of the highlights! Improvements: There was a wedding which closed the main pool (Was meant to be from 12.00pm for the rest of the day, however they started the construction at 9.00am) This meant we were unable to enjoy the stunning infinity pool with unparalleled views of the ocean (Our own villa had no view so were counting on this) Throughout the day and evening it was exceptionally noisy with singing and celebrations over loud speakers. We were expecting a quiet retreat, quite the opposite...perhaps we should have stayed in Kuta? No advance notice was given about the wedding, neither at booking or check in. We only discovered the venue was closed with a note left in our room. After speaking to reception we were informed the GM would call, however no call or apology was offered Food: Whilst it seems good on surface I got exceptionally sick. After staying at this resort for 3 days and only eating the hotel catered food in the restaurant I got food poisoning which meant the remaining few days in Bali (at another hotel) were completely ruined and I was confined to my bed. I hope the Hotel can look at their Hygiene and Food preparation as no question this was due to food hygiene from the hotel which is totally unacceptable. There seemed to be a lack of maintenance around the hotel: Some exterior lights not working in the villa, Pool lights were intermittent, Villa Jacuzzi had so much chlorine it stung my skin as i hopped in (not to use again) The other pool area near Spa treatment seemed abandoned with the lounge chairs stacked up and nobody around. The restaurant next to Spa seemed to be permanently closed. Seemed they have neglected this area as it was very run down Overall I felt that this hotel has made many cut backs and were more relying on the Chinese tourists and constant wedding ceremonies (apparently most weekends they have weddings so do be cautioned) Given room rates are >SGD$700 per night there are much better venues. However full marks for the staff and location. Hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously as the hotel has so much potential. Sadly, we will not be back again unless some of the feedback above is addressed.

Resort is located in the south, a convenient 30-40 mins drive from the airport. Was there a month after the Mt Agung eruption; sky was clear and things were normal. In-villa BBQ and Jumana are very memorable. Went for the Pool Villa Clift Edge Ocean View; breathtaking views and overlooking the ocean. Entire unit is very spacious and resort provided sufficient drinking water to hydrate ourselves. On the flip side, room upkeeping may improve; eg help ensure aircon duct in room don't drip, and water on shower head don't splatter. Staffs are their greatest assets. They are very personalized, friendly, and even shared their way of life in Bali. Buggy staffs and crew at Bambu are very professional and made us feel very comfortable.

The staff are very nice, their services are very good too. The villa is big, but only big is not enough , some details were overlooked. So I 'm waiting for their improvement , and will visit the villa again in future.
