The hotel is falling apart, very dated and just in unbelievable state. First day we arrived the Jacuzzi floor in our ocean front villa came off, when we told reception about this problem, they sent us the repair team, who were trying to glue the tiles for 4 hours without even draining the pool. When we asked to change the villa, we were offered apparently “the same” villa, which of course was not the same. And all that mess for 900 Euros/night. When I asked for an upgrade, the duty manager told me that the only thing he could do is offer us some free tea, and a broken Jacuzzi does not qualify us for an upgrade. After the repair team finished the work, the Jacuzzi was leaking water, and never even had enough water for us to use it properly. They came the next day and poured some water from our swimming pool into the Jacuzzi with the bucket, of course with no effect, because the water would not stay in. Infiniti pool stopped being “infinity” due to bushes the gardener forgot to trim, so a good idea of the designers was totally ruined by operational management of the hotel. The places on the beach, which as I understand were supposed to be for the guests of the hotel, were sold to the passersby for 100 k. by the local beach staff. And of course the cockroaches, on the floor of every bathroom. Disgusting.

Spacious, beautiful, and quiet villas. Each villa is very private and has its own pool. We had some issues with air conditioning and a room that was letting in the rain, but the staff at the resort was excellent and very helpful. The nearby beach is also a great place to relax and explore. A great place to spend time with a group, definitely worth spending a few nights here if you get the chance.

Samuel and his team at Banyan Tree made us feel welcome and right at home despite the chaos of travel regarding Mount Agung (which is now been stable for almost a month). With the decreased amount of tourists in Bali, Banyan Tree felt even more exclusive and a paradise nestled in the southern tip of the island. We were happy to stay in our villa and enjoy our facilities, but if you want to venture out, the breakfast at Bambu and drinks/ dinner at Jumana are worthwhile. We spent a full day on the beach exploring too. Recommended for those who want to unwind, relax and take in nature away from the hustle and bustle of touristy areas!

What a wonderful X’mas trip with my family going to Banyan Tree Ungasan! It’s my son’s first trip to Bali, Indonesia. All the staff here are extremely friendly and helpful. My son appreciated the birthday cake given by the General Manager and attentive buggy service. I would also like to thank the hospitality service provided by F & B staff, especially Eva @ Bambu Restaurant. Every morning, she greeted us warmly and offered us some new Bali foods to eat every morning!! She is very friendly! We stayed in a fabulous nice ocean view Villa facing the Indian Ocean. We got the unique travel unforgettable experience.
