Umana Bali is like being in another universe. The grounds are lush and immaculately tended. The sea breeze wafts across the property and into your elegant and peaceful room. Even the monkeys are friendly here. Don’t miss the restaurants, breakfasts in particular. The pool bar offers a quiet place to read or paint or chat. Every team member bent over backward to ensure our perfect stay. Lofan and Ariani in particular made us feel welcome and pampered. Thank you! We will be back.

I stayed here for four nights in March 2026 to celebrate my husband's birthday. The reason I am writing this review so late is because I only found out after our stay that the villa I was given was not the type I had actually booked. I had booked a "One-Bedroom Ocean Pool Villa," but they assigned me a "One-Bedroom Partial Ocean Pool Villa" (Villa#102) instead. I only realized this after checking out, and I am truly upset and dissatisfied this happened in a five stars resort. Although I was unhappy with the hotel downgrading my villa, I am still sincerely grateful for the attentive, warm and caring from all the staff who have taken care of us during our stay. A special shout out to: - Chef Nuka @ commune restaurant (the best caring chef, thank you so much for the delicious special dishes you made for us) - entire team at Commune restaurant & Oliverra restaurant, thanks for the amazing service making our stay special and memorable - Chef Edi @ beach house - Our Butler Tara

Wow, what a fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were treated with the upmost respect and loyalty. Our host Darma was on call 24/7 and no request big or small was a hassle. This was our second stay at Umana and did not disappoint, Brian made our stay extra special and was so welcoming on our return, it was like visiting family. Sunset drinks at Olivera are a must do, Uma beach house has great vibes and fantastic cocktails. The transport to and from the resort to beach house is hassle free. Ari remembered us at breakfast from our previous stay and made us just as welcome as last time. Commune has a great variety of cuisine, can’t go past the crème brûlée! The rooms are something out of this world with so many special touches, from the candles by the bath, the amazing shower, the heated toilet seats, the storage for your luggage, the size of the bath room is amazing together with your own make up desk! Was sad to leave after 5 nights but already planning our return.

Perched atop the dramatic limestone cliffs of Ungasan overlooking Bali’s southern coastline, Umana Bali offers a luxurious all villa retreat that feels both wonderfully exclusive and surprisingly welcoming for families. As part of Hilton’s LXR Hotels & Resorts collection, the resort combines contemporary design with Balinese hospitality, creating a peaceful sanctuary just a short drive from some of Uluwatu’s most beautiful beaches and iconic cliffside attractions. During our stay, we checked into the spacious Family Pool Villa, which proved to be the perfect base for travelling with children. The thoughtfully designed villa offered generous indoor and outdoor living spaces, comfortable master bedroom, separate lounge, and a beautiful private infinity pool overlooking the lush surroundings. Whether enjoying a leisurely floating breakfast, cooling off after exploring the island or simply relaxing together in complete privacy, it quickly became somewhere we looked forward to returning to each day. The service throughout our stay was exceptional. Every member of the team greeted us with genuine warmth, always remembering our names and going out of their way to ensure both adults and children felt equally welcome. It is the kind of intuitive hospitality that elevates an already beautiful resort into somewhere truly memorable. Families will find plenty to enjoy beyond their villa. The resort’s stunning main swimming pools are a relaxing way to spend the morning, while the state of the art fitness centre is one of the best equipped hotel gyms we have visited in Bali. The tranquil spa provides a wonderful escape for parents looking to unwind, with treatments inspired by local wellness traditions in a beautifully calming setting. One of the highlights of staying at Umana is the complimentary shuttle to the exclusive Uma Beach House on picturesque Melasti Beach. We spent several afternoons relaxing by the pool, enjoying the beach and lingering for sunset cocktails and dinner before returning to the resort. Dining is another major strength. Oliverra showcases refined Mediterranean cuisine in a spectacular clifftop setting, while Commune celebrates the richness of Indonesian cuisine through beautifully prepared local dishes and one of the most enjoyable family cooking classes we have experienced, culminating in an outstanding traditional Rijsttafel dinner. Down by the coast, Uma Beach House provides the perfect setting for relaxed beachfront lunches, cocktails and unforgettable sunset dinners. Combining luxurious private villas, exceptional dining, thoughtful family experiences and genuinely heartfelt service, Umana Bali delivers an elevated resort experience without ever feeling formal. Whether travelling as a couple or with children, it is one of Uluwatu’s standout luxury retreats and a destination we would happily return to.

Umana is not just a resort, it is better than anything i had ever stayed at. If you truly wish to get spoilt for life, book a stay here. In my case, i didn’t just book a stay here, i had the most important day in my life celebrated here. My wedding. Simply phenomenal!! The location, the vibe, the generous hospitality for all my 180 guests that stayed here for 3 entire days; everything was more mega than fathomable. The infinity pools, the buggy drivers, the restaurant staff, the beach club hosts, every person will make you feel not only welcomed but will leave you with a vibe that is unforgettable. A true testament of what hotel business should look like. 10/10 recommended and 10/10 will definitely come back. No other hotel chains come close
