Banyan Tree Ungasan

Our stay at Umana Bali was a highlight of our Bali trip. We stayed in an Ocean View Pool Villa, which was spacious, luxurious, and offered incredible ocean views right from our private pool. And that private pool is easily one of the largest private pools we have experienced with a villa. Our personalised coconuts were a pleasant surprise that we did not see coming. They also assign you a butler called curators who are always available on whatsapp and were quite efficient. Our luggage got delayed by our airlines and they managed to coordinate with the airport authorities and the airline to get it delivered to us, the same day itself, which was a big relief and a testament of their supreme service. Even for buggies, we never had to wait. We loved having breakfast at Commune each morning and also enjoyed their Balinese-themed night there. Dinner at Oliverra was another standout, with some of the most beautiful sunset views we've experienced. The complimentary shuttle made it easy to visit Melasti Beach, where we watched a traditional Kecak dance before having dinner at Uma Beach House by the water. They had a host of activities that we could experience, out of which we tried quite a few like the cooking class, a coffee tasting session and a soul blessing ceremony. Out of these, the soul blessing ceremony really stood out as they take you to a cave temple 15 minutes away from the resort for that ceremony. We also got a couple massage done at the Lohma Spa and it was so relaxing, perfect after a long flight. Umana Bali perfectly combines luxury, culture, warm hospitality and breathtaking scenery. We left with wonderful memories and would gladly return.

We booked for 2 nights and stayed for 4 we liked this property so much. Authentic hospitality from the team, the gifted chefs Ngurah and Nuka producing food of a high standard. Food offerings cover Balinese, Asian, international and Mediterranean with breakfast an unlimited à la carte affair which often turned into 2 hours! We received an upgrade as diamond members which include a partial seaview and varying discounts on food, drinks, laundry and spa. The facilities in our room were wonderful and room service also effortlessly delivered. The pool was undergoing refurbishment which meant the pool bar was a bit obsolete. They have their own beach club around a 10 min walk away which was in a lovely setting and free to hotel guests. We could not recommend this property highly enough and would certainly return.

The Food in both Restaurants are great. The people in the Commune Restaurant was a little bit more personal than in the Oliverra, but both Teams made a great job! The Villa was great, with an amazing view to the ocean. We enjoy five days of relaxing in there. We really enjoy our stay and can recommend this nice place.

The facilities at Umana are superbe. Everything is so well thought out, the rooms are beautiful, spacious and make you feel like you want to spend all your time there. What sets this hotel apart however is the impeccable service. The staff at Umana are attentive, understanding and personable. It only took them a few minutes to remember our names, my food allergies and go the extra mile to customize some menu items to my need. You can tell that each staff member throughout the hotel has the same philosophy about service instilled in them. The breakfast is phenomenal too, and if you have a chance try the lunch at Commune.
