I will give 6 stars if I’m allowed to. It’s not a traditional luxury hotels as you would experience in Bali. My husband and I have been to other luxury resorts in Bali for like 10 times. Here is the best. You hardly see any Bali styles aside for their rooftops. However, if you want a modern design with Bali style of warm service, here is the place. Our butler Apong should be the Butler of Bali if there is any kind of this award. We went to Rock bar and was supposed to call him when we finished at the ayana concierge. But the weather turns south so we ran back to lobby after 30 mins walk. Without phone call, Apong is there already!!! Super considerate. He makes the hotel the best of the best. Thank you and we will be back next time in Bali.

The Edge is one of the luxurious villas at Uluwatu, Bali. We didn't know what the villas looked like until we arrived at The Edge, but we knew that their glass bottom pool was super famous due to their Social Media posts. A Butler was assigned to each villa, and our Butler, Ian, contacted us before our arrival time to cross-check our flight and transportation details. On the day of our arrival into I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, we were greeted by Ian. He was warm and friendly; we felt at ease at once. Staying at The Edge will give you unlimited access to use the pool. We woke up super early one morning to enjoy the privacy of having the pool to ourselves. Brendan, the Managing Director, informed us that June and July are the best months to visit Bali. The water will be super calm, and you can see the clouds' reflection on the water. The pool opens to the public from 12 PM onwards. There's a minimum spending fee depending on the seating spot you choose. The VIP Lounge will require higher minimum spending for food or drinks. When we were there, the minimum expenditure starts from Rp. 400.000 (including towel and Rp. 350.000 for food and beverages). The Edge has a fabulous restaurant called OneEighty. Andrew and I almost conquered everything in the menu, so we're confident in saying that Chef Nyoman Suasa is really good at mixing his ingredients together. I will do a separate review of OneEighty and showcase more food photos at a later date. THE MOOD VILLA Our Villa, The View, consists of 2 bedrooms, but since we only used once, Ian locked the other bedroom. It has a spacious living room and dining area. I was in awe when I walked into the Villa, a perfect house for our two nights stay. There's a natural stone pool inside the Villa and a great balcony with two comfortable sunbeds. Andrew really liked the spot to do some reading. Our Butler Ian always consulted us on what we wanted to have for breakfast. Breakfast spread was stunning, from a plate of smoked salmon, three different jars of cereals, muffins, bread, fruits, yoghurt, AND the main course that we picked the night before. The bathroom amenities come from Lanvin with a beautiful orange smell. The Edge also provided a box of salt that we put into our bathtub at night. We found a box of chocolate next to our bedside on our first night, along with a bookmark with pressed petals that our Butler collected from the garden. On the second night, we were provided with a unique eyemask that contained a mixture of tea leaves. THE EDGE SPA The Edge Spa is lovely. The whole floor was covered in water which gives a very relaxing feeling as soon as we enter the spa. The staff wore rubber boots to protect their feet. We booked a one hour spa before our breakfast, and we chose the 60 minute "The Edge Massage" from the menu. The Spa looks really different during the day and at night. During the day, you can see the beautiful cliff of Uluwatu. If during the day it feels bright and airy, at night it gives off a magical and relaxing vibe. I'd recommend you to book a spa experience when you plan to visit or stay at The Edge. If you have a big group staying at The Edge, there's also a 5-bedroom-villa that you can book. This villa is massive, and it has its own infinity pool, mini cinema and cute children's playroom. Our Butler also showed us the beautiful wine cellar and cigar lounge in one of the rooms. Not only The Edge provides the opulence experience, but it also provides us with privacy due to its exclusivity. The staff was accommodating, from the Butler, the restaurant staff and even staff at The Spa. Now, the important thing is to book your villa in advance as there are only limited numbers of villa available at The Edge.

Visited the Edge bar for an afternoon tea and got the opportunity to use the pool facilities. The weather wasn’t good on the day we visited, but the views were still astonishing. All the facilities are well maintained and clean. They have unique infinite pools in a cliff top setting - definitely worth a while to at least come and spend an afternoon here.

WOW WOW WOW - i have seen pictures of this amazing resort - but when we arrived - it was so much more than what i ever expected. We were picked up by the resort driver along with Apong, our private butler and whisked away to One Eighty in complete luxury. We were greeted upon arrival by the ever attentive staff - and given a quick tour of this magnificent property. I don't think there are enough words in the thesaurus to describe what we saw. This amazing property sitting cliffside literally takes in 180 degree views of the spectacular Indian ocean - the view quite simply jaw dropping. Apong escorted us to our villa, The One, which was larger than you could possibly imagine, and of course taking in more of the spectacular views on offer. This villa is fit for royalty, contemporary Javanese styling, featuring a large lounge area, along with a beautiful dining area, floor to ceiling sliding glass doors, taking in the views of the ocean and the 20 metre long infinity edge pool that literally runs the length of the villa. There is a sprawling decking area, which i was told is often used for weddings, and i can see why, i could not think of a better place to hold my nuptials. The bedroom was bigger than some of my friends apartments, lush, plush and so very stylish with more floor to ceiling glass sliding doors with metres of luxurious black out curtaining. Walking thru the open dressing room, is the Bathroom - wow - marble, opulent and enormous. Seperate shower, his and hers vanity, jacuzzi style bathtub and a seperate toilet. This villa is meant for 2 but could quite comfortably hold a party for 50. Larger than any resort villa i have ever stayed in. There is detail everywhere you look, whether it be the white robes placed beautifully at the end of your bed with a goodnight note, bookmarks left on your pillows, the amenities tray in the bathroom stocked with perfectly presented items. Everything is thought of here. Our breakfast order was taken by our butler before we went retired to our enormous comfortable bed, and we woke to the most delicious spread of fruit, yoghurts, muffins, juice, coffee and eggs, as much as i wanted to, there was no way i was going to ever get through all this food. Apong, our butler, was literally with us throughout our stay, but we never ever noticed him. He just appeared when he sensed we needed him. There is no check in at reception, its all done via your butler, need a massage in the Edge Spa, your butler will organise, anything we needed, Apong was available 24/7 to take care of us. This is service - and goes hand in hand with this luxury villa. The property also features the One Eighty Sky Pool, this now very insta famous pool featuring a glass bottom which extends 6 metres over the clifftop, 150 metres above the waves and rocky shoreline below. There is a sand lounge, VIP lounge, terrace and enclosed bar area. Its a great place to sip cocktails, chow down on the delicious poolside menu, take in the view and of course, people watch. We treated ourselves to a one hour massage at the Edge Spa, the ambience is so relaxing - you literally walk through water to get to the massage table, again all taking in the most amazing vista. I left there relaxed and totally blissed out. This stunning resort might be large in scale, but it is small whereby it only has 6 villas, keeping it exclusive, more personal, and special. The staff are nothing short of amazing (i wanted to take Apong home with me) the views are literally jaw dropping and the villas are most certainly fit for king, or queen. We will definitely be back for another stay, but until then, we will be visiting One Eighty Sky Lounge soon as i need another swim in that glass bottom pool. thank you The Edge - we will be very very soon.
