Tugu Hotels in Indonesia are all one-of-a-kind experiences. You don't stay at a Tugu just for a place to lay your head; you stay to immerse yourself in the history of each Tugu's region. Tugu Bali is no exception. First, it is beautiful, truly beautiful. You cross the entry bridge and know you are in a different world. There is a small, perfect museum dedicated to interpreting the puputan when Balinese committed suicide rare than submit to Dutch rule. The "lobby" is more a great, dimly cool hall with private dining or meeting areas around it. The upper floor provides views of the ocean, and the pool is an intimate and welcoming space. Across the road is a new lawn with a deck on which to sip a cocktail beach-side as you watch the sun set into the ocean. The individual rooms are lovely and have private plurge pools as well as lovely soaking tubs in private gardens. We were in Room 101 and thought it perfect.

My husband and I were gifted an incredible trip to Bali. We stayed 4 nights at Hotel Tugu Bali and it was the best choice possible for lavish relaxation! We were treated like a king and queen from the moment we departed immigration. Picked up at the airport with refreshments waiting for the journey in to Canggu. The hotel staff were kind and gracious and attentive at every turn. Our room, Rejang suite, was amazing. Each night we were literally lulled to sleep with ocean sounds as we slept in a perfectly comfortable king size bed! Perfect for a relaxing rest for two tired teachers! We ate breakfast in our room and in the hotel lobby overlooking the beach. We walked in Canggu and enjoyed the shopping and some cool food. At night, we ate in the Amazing Japanese restaurant Ji - the food was heavenly and so good we kept coming back! We had a super cool cocktail and the kobe style beef was to die for! The restaurant is in the most amazing rebuilt temple over 300 years old. If you come to Bali, you have to come to Hotel Tugu and do not miss out on Restaurant Ji. The entire stay was relaxing. And on that note - book a massage because they are gifted in that area as well!! Thanks Hotel Tugu! We will be back and tell all our friends about our amazing stay with you!

Coming into the restaurant, it felt like entering a palace. We had a great time watching the dance performances whilst eating a very pleasant dinner. It was a significant experience all on its own. The personnel was very friendly and helpful, they created a table just for us! Thank you for teaching us about Jauk karas and the frog to prince fairytale. The dining was amazing and the surrounding environment was amazing and beautiful as well.

My solo trip to Bali was probably the best trip of my life (this says a lot coming from someone who travels to foreign countries quite often) My stay at Tugu is absolutely perfect. I couldn't have asked for better treatment from the staff, they always made me feel like they were looking after me in an unobtrusive sort of way. The facilities were authentic Balinese style, treatments at the spa were delightful. I highly recommend Tugu to anyone! You'll love their afternoon tea.

We were looking for a more traditional and authentic Balinese experience and Hotel Tugu Bali exceeded our expectations by far. The hotel overlooking Canggu beach is built from temple remains and furnished with the largest collection of Balinese antiques and artworks. The grounds were beautiful and immaculate with large, amazing, comfortable rooms. The food was beautiful at the fine-dining restaurants (this included a Japanese Restaurant, Ji). Each afternoon complimentary 'High-tea' with local and western delicacies was provided which we never missed! The staff were excellent - so friendly, helpful and willing to assist in any way. This was exemplified by the Manager, Jenny Bellora. The close proximity of the surf kept my husband very happy each day and I enjoyed the relaxing time spent by the pool. Canggu itself is a new and developing area in Bali and the hotel was within walking distance to lovely shops, restaurants, boutiques and a local market.
