Gorgeous hotel, central location
The hotel has a grand lobby and huge grounds. Do not miss a photo op in the fish pond but book well in advance! Do not rent a dress. It’s not a good dress. It is an old hotel, though and my garden villa was rather dark. It is immaculately clean, though. They do everything they can to accommodate and service is great as long as it doesn’t require anything outside of the usual. The responsiveness over WhatsApp and email could be a lot faster. The GM, Hendry is the best! He really goes above and beyond to ensure a great stay with lasting great memories. He’s very personable and will do his very best for each guest. The staff always calls you by name and makes you feel like family. There’s such personal touch to Kamandalu. Location is very close to central Ubud which can be a curse and a fortune. Think ‘traffic’. Super quiet which is nice. If I would come back to Kamandalu it would be for the people there.

AMAZING EGAR!!!
Egar was amazing. He took excellent photos and I never get good photos due to being shy. He was patient did as many retakes until I loved them. This was one of the best photo experiences I’ve had. I can not recommend him enough. Thank you!!!
