Love Komaneka, this is my 10th stay I have stayed in all of your hotels and monkey Forrest and Bisma are my favourites. I stayed most recently at Bisma. All was perfect as usual. Accept your food is still at a very low standard for the quality of the hotel 2star food in a 5 star hotel. This was more noticeable on this trip as I was solo and ordering room service a lot. The Caesar salad and caprese salad were of such a low standard this lets your beautiful hotel down as the hard product and the service in the hotel is all 5 star! Your Tripadvisor score will keep sliding down the scale if you don’t do something about the food immediately. It’s the first thing people say when they stay at your hotel, “shame about the food, but lovely hotel” . Unfortunately your competitors close by Adiwana, Kamala, Bisma 8 are cheaper hotels half the price with 5 star food and this is reflected in their Tripadvisor rating. Please improve your food!! You deserve to no.1 and I don’t want to have to stay anywhere else next time.

The staff were really fabulous! 10/10 for that experience. The food could really do with improving. It feels very touristy and sugar laden. It’s just not a place I’d choose to want to eat at given all the fabulous restaurants & cafe’s in Ubud. The rooms are lovely, light switches are all over the place, but our rooms were well appointed and always cleaned well. The pool feels a bit tired and over grown. Just a bit dark and could go with a bit of TLC to set it apart from other hotels in the area. I was just expecting more! But the biggest thanks and most memorable part of our stay was the fantastic team!

Nice rice paddy field views from the room. The balcony is very big and we enjoyed our coffee every morning there. The walking trail around the hotel is very picturesque. Don't miss the trail to the right side of the spa - hidden trail and stunningly beautiful. Amazing service levels. Very close to downtown Ubud for shopping and restaurants- walkable but they also provide shuttle service. Their breakfast is nice.

We chose the Komaneka at Bisma Hotel because of its positive reviews on TripAdvisor. We were not disappointed. It was a wonderful stay. We wanted to be close to Ubud center, but we wanted a peaceful, beautiful environment. The Komaneka at Bisma is less than 10 minutes by car from Ubud center, yet is in its own quiet valley refuge of palms and ferns. The Ubud bustle seems far away, but is conveniently nearby. (Don't miss one of the evening dance performances in town.) The hotel provides a shuttle through town several times a day. It was very easy to catch a cab in town for the trip back, generally at 50 to 100 Rupiah, a little over 3 to 6 American dollars. We began our stay in a Bisma Suite in the main building - completely quiet with a lovely view of the Eden-like grounds. We splurged to complete our stay in a one bedroom villa with private pool - an affordable luxury. There is a large general pool for all guests - it's big enough we saw 4-5 guests swimming laps, each in their own lane, in the morning. Later in the day, more guests used it for wading and play. We had all breakfasts (included) and some lunches and dinners at the hotel. The food is good and the service was exceptionally gracious - on a terrace overlooking the beautiful grounds. All staff were wonderful - at Reception, in the restaurant, and the cleaners and porters. I wish I could remember more people's names, but I wanted to specifically thank Kadek at Reception, who helped us plan two days of sightseeing and transportation, and Mantra, who was the driver/guide for both days of that sightseeing. Mantra was an excellent driver, a good source of information, kept us supplied with water, and made sure our aging selves stayed safe as we successfully negotiated the 100 (150?) steps down to the Teganungan Waterfall. We would like to recommend Komeneka at Bisma. It is such a wonderful Resort. Really Soul of Ubud. The staff is so calm and friendly. They do know on first sight what you Need. They do remember your Name and pay always attention to the Children as Well. All of them so lovely. They remember your allergies without saying anything. An outstanding Resort. They do refill anything in your Room immediately. A special Thank you to Mei. She, like the others, are so overwhelming and from the heart friendly. They all have always a real smile on their Face. We decided After Short Travel to other Location to come back to this wonderful hidden hideaway. It was Really as coming home. Best Choice ever. Highly recommendation. You will Love it.
