The Oberoi is what Bali is about. It's a stunningly beautiful hotel on the beach at Seminyak surrounded by mature tropical gardens. There's nothing better than sipping on a cocktail at sunset watching the sea, listening to the faint sound of gongs and smelling the perfume of Indonesia. The Oberoi caters to families with kids, couples, everyone. Despite its location in the heart of Seminyak, its a large property with bungalow-style rooms and bungalows which are well-spaced apart. As such, it feels like a quiet, peaceful sanctuary that seems to accomodate everyone perfectly. Best hotel in Bali, hands down.

I stayed at the Oberoi Bali from the 27th Feb - 4th Mar 2018. I travel to Bali around 3 to 4 times a year because I simply love the island and its people. This was my first time at the Oberoi, and I can't believe it's taken me so long to pay a visit as I've been travelling to Bali for the past 23 years! What a mistake to leave it so long; I absolutely adored everything about my stay. From the welcome at the airport, seamless transfer to the hotel, the swift check in procedure and the gorgeous ginger tea which I lingered over in the beautiful airy lobby before being taken to my room. But, I have to take a step back. When initially considering the Oberoi I contacted the General Manger John Halpin and asked his advice with regard to room choice etc. His response was immediate and so helpful. He suggested a lanai location to suit my preferences and then put me in touch with his reservations manager who went so far as highlighting on the emailed resort map, the proximity of the suggested lanai's in relation to pool, restaurant etc. Oustanding customer service! I loved my lanai (233), it was spacious, light and airy and had a huge bathroom with it's own little private garden,. But best of all was the the view from my terrace looking out over the resort pool and ocean. I couldn't have been happier. Everything about my stay was perfect; lounging by the pool, cocktails at the bar, incredible breakfasts and, because I was travelling alone I tended to order room service for dinner quite often and it was outstanding, I can't remember having had better, and I have stayed in many 5 star hotels. I was invited to a cocktail event on my second night and was able to meet Mr Halpin and various members of staff along with other guests. Such a lovely evening and a wonderful memory. The Oberoi has most certainly won me over and I can't wait for my next stay later this year!

We had the pleasure of staying at the Oberoi Bali last weekend. From the moment we drove up the long perfectly manicured grounds we were in heaven. This place is truly outstanding. The grounds and rooms are immaculate. This is a traditional Balinese hotel which has so much character. Some of the other reviews I’ve read said it was “outdated” but I think they just don’t get it. Staff are so helpful and friendly- we felt like a king and queen. It is a place to go to if you want to truly relax. There were no children in the resort and much of the clientele were middle aged and older, which we didn’t mind at all as we were there for our anniversary. We booked massages at the spa which were divine. If you book before 2 pm you get an extra body scrub or head massage. We also worked out at the gym which had a cycle, cross trainer and 3 treadmills and free weights. The food is outstanding. My favourite was eating breakfast overlooking Seminyak Beach..the resort is right on the beach and in walking distance to all the trendy shops and restaurant in Seminyak. This is a perfect hotel for couples who want to relax and be pampered. We will definitely be back and I can’t wait.

We had a great time at the Oberoi. Our bungalow was over the top comfortable and modern. We had our own large private pool with seating in the front and back of our room. The ocean was right out our door as well as the main resort pool. The views from the resort and our room were amazing. The staff were so attentive ready to do anything for you and immediately. It was a 5 minute walk to the restaurant and shopping street. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
