Met all Expectations!!!!While you never know what you are buying when you purchase a package half way around the world, my girlfriend and I couldn't have been more pleased with Puri Wulandari. From the very comfortable accommodations to the views, and especially the staff, we were very impressed. The unit itself is very private with an open air "living/lounging" area, amazing infinity pool (yes it is a bit cool, but that is what you need when you want to cool off in the tropics), covered day bed, very open bed room that has huge windows that you can open and look at the monkey forest across the valley, and the outdoor shower (amazing pressure...).
Our package included breakfast which offered an assortment of western and Indonesian choices...all very tasty. The staff allows for any combo within the menu and it is served by the main pool with a great view to start your day.
We did eat at the main restaurant for dinner one night and really enjoyed our dinner, service, and of course the view. The staff can't be praised enough from the service to the ability to anticipate your needs....it was 5+ star service. Great spa facilities and cheap massages. The morning walk led by the resort through the adjacent rice paddies was really a treat. It starts at 7 and lasts about one hour and is really a close up on the simplicity and complexity of the paddies. The walkways through the paddies are on fairly narrow(1.5 feet wide) paths between the paddies, so watch your step. Missed one step and had one foot ending up in a paddy about 1.5 feet down. Would recommend wearing shoes not sandals since the ground is a little damp. It was a very nice way to start the day! The shuttle service into town works, but don't stress if you can't find the shuttle in Ubud, just negotiate with a taxi and grab a ride back for about $7/trip. Obviously we loved our stay and hope we can return in the future.

Flawless!I booked Puri Wulandari in Bali (ubud) for 3 nights - found the best deal for the hotel on luxury link but also transfers which no one else offered and was fab for when we got there. Hotel was complete perfection, nothing more to say!

Bliss! The LL package I booked was a great deal. I believe it's much more expensive now. We loved the hotel. It was probably our favorite in Bali. The view, the room and the private infinity pool were perfect. Breakfast was great. There was barely anyone else staying there when we were there so the staff was very attentive to us. I would definitely return. Especially if LL offers great deals like it did in the past.
With a tapestry of rice fields, verdant flora and blue skies, Puri Wulandari, is the perfect prescription for a healing retreat. Located in Ubud, Bali, the resort has luxurious amenities and features prevailing Balinese architecture that weaves a ribbon of allure throughout the property. With less than three dozen one- and two-bedroom villas swathed in over-the-top comforts, private retreats include living and dining areas, bathrooms with oversize tubs, and private swimming pools for an intimate plunge. All the necessary modern devices are present as well, from flat-panel televisions and DVD players to mini bars stocked with a stash of gourmet snacks and premium spirits.
There is a pair of dining venues to sample, and both will leave you feeling satisfied after a sumptuous meal. At the Janger Restaurant you will find fine dining and a menu of fusion fare, while Legong Terrace presents a selection of Italian and Mediterranean dishes that tantalize the palate. But it is Lila Ulangun Spa where guests tend to spend the most indulgent time, enjoying an ultra pampering menu of soothing treatments. This sanctuary houses open-air treatment rooms where massages and body polishes are administered in quiet comfort. There are steam and sauna chambers plus an infinity-edge pool for added pleasure. The resort's setting on an idyllic slope side that overlooks the Ayung River Valley, truly feels as if you have been transported to the ends of the earth - a place to clear your mind and relish in the moment.
