With a tapestry of rice fields, verdant flora and blue skies, Puri Wulandari, is the perfect prescription for a healing retreat. Located in Ubud, Bali, the resort has luxurious amenities and features prevailing Balinese architecture that weaves a ribbon of allure throughout the property. With less than three dozen one- and two-bedroom villas swathed in over-the-top comforts, private retreats include living and dining areas, bathrooms with oversize tubs, and private swimming pools for an intimate plunge. All the necessary modern devices are present as well, from flat-panel televisions and DVD players to mini bars stocked with a stash of gourmet snacks and premium spirits.

We booked 3 bedroom property for our family. It’s what was available at the time for our family with two small kids. When we arrived to Ubud after 2 hours drive from Seminyak we discovered that the 3 bedroom villa was close to white water rafting activities. Ie loud music and all sorts of other noises. The hotel understood it wasn’t going to work. They offered two bedroom options. However all of their two bedroom villas , each bedroom was in a separate building joined by an outdoor living room with a swimming pool adjacent. Again wasn’t going to work for us, with small children. We are grateful the hotel promptly agreed to a refund so we could stay somewhere more suitable. I think it’s the property that’s suited to couples. I would say I won’t be back in Ubud. The traffic , the rubbish , the over tourism. Very sad as my first time in Ubud was 16 years ago, then again 10 years ago. It was magical then.

Cannot say a bad word. The villas and views were beautiful. Loved the outdoor shower and sunken bath aswell as the gorgeous jungle views from the private pool. The staff were so friendly and helpful. You never went hungry, the food was great. A daily shuttle to the town centre was very useful and the location was fairly good. Traffic was a bit of a nightmare.. but that’s Bali!

Excellent stay. Room, location, service, food all high standard. This is in a quiet area but still convenient to many locations. Gardeners do an amazing job, and the whole design feels both local and refined. Being in the jungle was amazing. Fantastic to have so many "zones" to experience across the resort. Room was maintained in excellent standard - beautiful natural materials still look new but not "too new". Pools were great. Service from everyone was excellent and prompt, very easy to get buggies, every wish and question attended to. Restaurant at Legong was really very good - subtle flavours, really great service at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Special thanks to Sepiyanti, Wika, and Sarmini for their personal touch. Bar was also great. A great supporting team too. The name list would be basically anyone we encountered - really excellent all around. Other facilities also great: wifi, spa, excursions. Would stay here again for sure - would be hard to beat.
