Puri Wulandari in Bali, Indonesia

With a tapestry of rice fields, verdant flora and blue skies, Puri Wulandari, is the perfect prescription for a healing retreat. Located in Ubud, Bali, the resort has luxurious amenities and features prevailing Balinese architecture that weaves a ribbon of allure throughout the property. With less than three dozen one- and two-bedroom villas swathed in over-the-top comforts, private retreats include living and dining areas, bathrooms with oversize tubs, and private swimming pools for an intimate plunge. All the necessary modern devices are present as well, from flat-panel televisions and DVD players to mini bars stocked with a stash of gourmet snacks and premium spirits.

We enjoyed very much our two nights stay in this hotel. Each room is basically a villa on its own. The size of the villa is quite impressive, large bedroom, large bathroom with two sinks, two showers (one outside - very clean despite being outdoor), and a bathtub. Outside of the room, the villa also has its own swimming pool, dining table, and two lounges, one by the dining table and another one by the pool, complete with two wooden beach benches. The villas are quite deep in a jungle. We had to ride in a buggy cart driven by hotel staff to and from our villa to anywhere else within the complex. The cart is fortunately only one phone call away, always available, and quite enjoyable. The only downside being in the middle of a tropical jungle is the frequent visit of bugs, we had a giant wasp inside our bedroom one night, and some ants around the bathroom, both were easily taken care of fortunately. Lounging outside will definitely require some type of bugs repellent. Despite the bugs problem, the jungle view from the room and the pool was amazing. The spa package was unfortunately quite spendy, we found much better spa deal not far from the hotel with comparable quality and view. Transportation to and from the hotel will also be more spendy if arranged by the hotel, better to find other deals outside. Breakfast buffet was really good but other meals were not worth it, given the price offered. Overall we loved our stay, the villa was simply beautiful. A perfect place for a relaxing romantic getaway.

A quiet and unique place where you can hide from the world and enjoy yourself, nature and your heart! Great SPA and good food restaraunt or service on the villa will help you to forget about everything but your soul, heart

Amazing hotel in Ubud, Personalised service, Amazing views, great good and staff. Simply one of the best. The view from the pool was breathtaking. Some insects are there but it's in the jungle so that's normal, they did their best to accommodate our every request. We loved it.

First of all the area outside from Ubud in the jungle is outstanding if you are looking for a relaxed time. We have villa 108 and the place is big and the view amazing. The team is very friendly and attentive. BUT the rooms are timeworn and a lot of things need to be repaired or rebuild. - shower broken - bed lining and canopy bed dirty (poop from an animal) - it's not properly maintained and it looks like the best time of the hotel is over - we had a gecko in our room (we are living in the jungle and its okay). But it was very very nosy so that we woke up every two hours. Moreover we had poop in our bed and the villa. For us not this doesn't match with a hotel of this class. - in our romantic package only the massage was worth it but the dinner was nothing special (also no special arrangement) *Airport transfers* The transport cost from the airport is more than double of the price if you take a taxi. Okay this might be the case in most of the hotels! But we payed 350K the hotel is asking for 600K. *Shuttle to Ubud* A bit sad that a Hotel so far away from the City offers a Shuttle only 4x day AND not free of charge. The Price is with 100K very high as we took a Taxi (Download the app: Grab) for 32K only. Even if most of the People are choosing this hotel to relax in the jungle the service of the shuttle to the city should be included in a hotel of this class and area. *food and service* Sadly the food is okay but nothing special. Too bad as the hotel is far away from the city centre and the villa would be great for a relaxed day. The breakfast is okay and the pastries and bread very good. But the food for a hotel class like this is standard only. The service is okay but a bit under instructed especially the arrival was not nice. We felt not welcome and we need to stand and wait for our transportation to the room while the staff where sitting at the coach. Our good sold welcome drink was only juice out of a box in a fresh pineapple. The room service is fast and all the people are very attempt and friendly. *Finally, a great place but do not match the standard of a 5 Star Hotel* We are grateful for the nice arrangement in our room by arrival and also for the great massage and the dinner!
