Soori Bali in Bali, Indonesia

Surrounded by verdant fields and fronting a beach of ebony sands along the Indian Ocean, Soori Bali is the newest resort to grace the Balinese coast. Located mere minutes from one of Bali's most hallowed sites, Tanah Lot Temple, the resort contains an enclave of multi-room villas with varying views. Strategically designed to make the most of its surroundings, each abode was created to complement nature and has its own pool, direct beach access, inner courtyards bathed in natural light, and al fresco pavilions for relaxing. Guests are privy to butler service, round-the-clock room service, wireless internet access throughout the resort, and sensual indoor/outdoor showers.

While it is perfectly plausible to want to stay sequestered behind the door of your own personal paradise, there are other elements to explore. The two-level restaurant, with its glass-walled kitchen, is unlike any other eatery you may have experienced. The menu is incredibly creative, and the collection of dining nooks - which includes terraces and balcony beds for an unconventional experience - definitely add verve to your meal. Aside from your private pool there is also an infinity-edge pool with sweeping ocean views that is available to all guests. You may want to lounge in a private cabana along the beach, replete with plush mattress and the services of a beach butler. The spa is another haven in which to indulge. Local villages are idyllic for getting a sense of the Balinese culture, including Abiantuwung which is known for its famed dance school where visitors can take lessons, and Kerambitan where the Royal Stable is found with its well-maintained horses. Enjoy a blissful paradise with every amenity imaginable at Soori Bali.

Writing this review is long overdue. Simply put, if you are in Bali and enjoy luxury, architecture, stunning views and quietness, go here! Soori Bali is a wonderful hotel. Tucked away between a gorgeous black lava sand beach on one side and beautiful rice paddies on the other, you will find an architectural gem with charming staff, good food and perfect sunsets. We had the pleasure of staying at Soori Bali for 4 nights in June this year and regret that we could not stay longer. The hotel is setup so that every villa is completely secluded from the others. We stayed in an ocean view villa with private pool and there are not a lot of reasons to go anywhere else. The villas are stunningly designed with great attention to detail and beautiful materials. The butler service is spot on and manager Artana was kind enough to give us a tour of the grounds. Hotel wise, this was the definitive highlight of our trip. (And yes, we stayed at Villas Uluwatu)

this was the perfect escape place to get away from the crowd. we got the beach front villa which was amazing, beach is just few steps away, perfect spot to enjoy sunset. try the segway tour to enjoy resort surrounding (thanks to Pak Alit for showing around and share about all the place we passed). they offer a unique breakfast experience, with small portion of each menu that allow you to try choices of local menu.

My family and I went to visit The Soori at the end of October. We went there to surprise my grandmother's 70th birthday. As we arrived at Soori, the sunset welcomed us at the lobby. The pink sky greeted us and then followed by the staffs to pick our stuffs and offered us some refreshments. As we arrived in our villas (booked the ocean and beach villa), we were stunned by the view. We really enjoyed our stay at the Soori even it was just for two days. All the staffs were very friendly and attentive. My brother and I even had the chance to have lunch with the hotel manager, Marc Ravegnini. We also had a tea ceremony session at the reading room with Dr. Andy which was a really calming experience. The food and drinks are all above my expectation. Overall, staying at the Soori was a great experience. We'd love to come by if we had the chance!

Their villa is one of most luxury that we ever stayed. The amenities, showers, bathtub were so great. We stay for 2 nights and they were awesome. Very beautiful sunset with exotic black sand beach, one of the view that you will cherish in your lifetime. Every villa equiped with private pool (really pool not plunge) so you could do private romantic things with your loved one.

I had a lovely time at The Soori. I needed some time to relax and this was the perfect venue. The ocean pool villa was superb, the food great (albeit a bit expensive -- but definitely no more expensive than any hotel of its calibre) and the staff lovely. If I had to find (a small) fault it was sometimes that The hotel team could be a little *too* attentive - for example, during one meal I was approached by 6 different hotel members - all had a reason and all well intentioned - but at times it could be a little daunting. Mainly though, everything was awesome and I missed The Soori when at my next hotel (which was nowhere near as good). Marco and his team should be so proud of this establishment - I have no hesitation in recommending The Soori to my friends and look forward to my next visit!
