Soori Bali in Bali, Indonesia

Surrounded by verdant fields and fronting a beach of ebony sands along the Indian Ocean, Soori Bali is the newest resort to grace the Balinese coast. Located mere minutes from one of Bali's most hallowed sites, Tanah Lot Temple, the resort contains an enclave of multi-room villas with varying views. Strategically designed to make the most of its surroundings, each abode was created to complement nature and has its own pool, direct beach access, inner courtyards bathed in natural light, and al fresco pavilions for relaxing. Guests are privy to butler service, round-the-clock room service, wireless internet access throughout the resort, and sensual indoor/outdoor showers.

While it is perfectly plausible to want to stay sequestered behind the door of your own personal paradise, there are other elements to explore. The two-level restaurant, with its glass-walled kitchen, is unlike any other eatery you may have experienced. The menu is incredibly creative, and the collection of dining nooks - which includes terraces and balcony beds for an unconventional experience - definitely add verve to your meal. Aside from your private pool there is also an infinity-edge pool with sweeping ocean views that is available to all guests. You may want to lounge in a private cabana along the beach, replete with plush mattress and the services of a beach butler. The spa is another haven in which to indulge. Local villages are idyllic for getting a sense of the Balinese culture, including Abiantuwung which is known for its famed dance school where visitors can take lessons, and Kerambitan where the Royal Stable is found with its well-maintained horses. Enjoy a blissful paradise with every amenity imaginable at Soori Bali.

What a place. We had 9 days there and it was just a treat. Stunning rooms (book an ocean room villa if you can, as it gets the sun all day long), gorgeous private pool with a view of the ocean. The staff were beyond wonderful. Our particular thanks to the amazing Ayu (who should be given some kind of managerial role immediately, if not sooner, for her incredible attention to detail, organisation, intelligence, wit and warmth); Ketut for his efficiency and organisation and to Chef Gidiyon for his great food and for giving us a copy of a much admired recipe for sambal tomat deeping. It was also lovely that the managers stopped by for regular chats while we dined. We had a fantastic time and would recommend this place to anyone who felt the need for some luxury pool time.

Generalļ¼ŒBecause we just stay in SORIBALI hotel one night. 1态The pool was great and enjoyed a very romantic dinner at the seaside restaurant; 2态The drawback lies in the fact that, on the one hand, the hotel is in a remote location and it is inconvenient to go to the city; on the other hand, the room is near the field and there are geckos in the yard, which is a bit scary.

A lot of care and attention has gone into the infrastructure, the maximising of the location's beauty, training of and execution by staff, comfort, service and restaurants. We loved the place. Be sure to book spa services in advance if they are important to you. We were unable to get anything our first full day because of a 'group booking' and thereafter times were limited.

maybe the best resort I have visited in my life and I have been a lot of great places. Service, room, food, view - all were amazing. We will return hopefully next year. The black lava beach sparkled like diamonds

This is our second trip to Bali, last time we stayed at Nusa Dua. Everything about Soori is as you see it online. We were collected from our hotel in Seminyak by a really great guy who entertained us all the way with his stories of Bali and his family. On arrival your check in is seamless and you are escorted to your beautiful suite. Beautifully laid out with a great king size bed, plenty of day beds inside & out around your own pool. Soori is remote and very secluded, its an hour by car from Seminyak and similar to Ubud. If you decide to spend time around the main pool there are plenty of options, day beds, lounges, chairs everything is at your finger tips, you always feel like there is no one else around which is such a change from the larger hotel resorts. The gym is well equipped and the Spa amazing. The food options are certainly extensive, we loved the breakfast and the suggestion that breakfast should be relaxing so the tapas style with European and Asian options was a nice change from the normal buffet you have available at larger hotels. We have to say our stay was made exceptional by the attentiveness of all staff. Ayu who leads the team in the main restaurant Cotta is a stand out, she made our experience so wonderful and enjoyable. If you want to spend time in a remote location, with beach access, un interrupted views, with beautiful rooms, great food and service then this is the place for you.
