About the Hotel

With an address like no other, The St. Regis Bali Resort brings barefoot sophistication and chic elegance to the soft, sandy beaches of Nusa Dua, the Garden of Bali. As the azure waters of the Indian Ocean gently meet the sandy beach running along the front of the resort, the sounds of the lush jungle behind fills the air, creating an atmosphere that is pure tropical paradise. The resortâ€(TM)s private gardens, pools, calm lagoon and exquisitely appointed suites and villas feel more like a decadent private residence than a resort. The St. Regis is utter refinement at home, in the lap of a luxurious natural paradise.

Reviews for The St. Regis Bali Resort

Excellent hotel, excellent service.

Amazing stay at the St. Regis Bali. We enjoyed the pools, beach, restaurants and afternoon tea. But what makes it special and truly memorable is the top notch service, from our butlers Wawan and Julian and waiter Ebert. Very grateful,

Fantastic stay!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

I stayed at the St. Regis Bali in Summer 2024 and had a truly wonderful experience. The resort is large and beautifully laid out, offering a sense of grandeur while still feeling peaceful and personal. Despite its size, everything is thoughtfully organized and easy to navigate, which made the stay smooth and relaxing. What stood out most was the exceptional staff. Everyone I interacted with was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. The concierge service, in particular, was outstanding, just as excellent as I’ve come to expect from St. Regis. They are incredibly responsive and take care of every detail with care and precision, which made a real difference throughout my stay. I also appreciated the small but thoughtful touches, like the complimentary in-room coffee service and the free daily ironing of two clothing items. These services may seem minor, but they add a lot of comfort and convenience. My room was very spacious, well-appointed, and comfortable. Breakfast was also excellent, with a wide selection of high-quality options to suit every taste. The pool area and beach were absolutely beautiful, well-maintained, and never felt crowded. It was easy to relax and enjoy the surroundings, whether by the water or strolling the grounds. Overall, I had a fantastic stay in Summer 2024 and would not hesitate to return. The combination of attentive service, excellent amenities, and a stunning property makes the St. Regis Bali a standout choice for a luxurious stay on the island

Too Good!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

This property is WAY too good! I actually only stayed here for a single night with my family because we were using this resort as a "stopover" hotel before we moved over to the Four Seasons at Sayan the next day. Unfortunately, I think our experience at this place was SO good that it made our stay at the Four Seasons feel not nearly as great as it should have haha. I only wished we moved our stay at the St. Regis Bali to the end of our trip, and for a longer duration of course. Now we'll have to make time to come back some day. Service here is impeccable and incredibly warm. The St. Regis airport representative, front desk staff, restaurant staff, housekeeping, and our butlers couldn't be any better! I'd like to extend a major thanks to Andi (one of our butlers) and our other butler, who unfortunately I can't remember the name of right now. They were both incredibly helpful and responded pretty much instantaneously on WhatsApp. During the first half of our stay (near 18:00), I noticed the patio and plunge pool lights weren't on. I texted Andi about it, and I kid you not, this isn't an exaggeration, he came knocking at our villa's door 20 seconds later. 20 seconds! That's how good the service is here. Some general things: the food is incredible and there's plenty of options, there's direct beach access (which unfortunately I didn't have time to take advantage of during my stay but I've heard only good things about it), and there's a saltwater lagoon (which is really just a massive saltwater swimming pool but it's still fantastic). Also, the overall architecture of this resort is mesmerizing. Now here's the ONLY issue I noticed during my stay, and unfortunately it's a pretty blatant security issue with the villa. That being said, with how tight security is at this property (I believe the gate at the front is staffed by real law enforcement, not just general security officers, and they were also incredibly nice!), this isn't too severe of an issue, but it absolutely should be addressed. I have no idea if this is a design flaw with all of the villas, but at least for my villa (villa 820), the doors to the patio from the master bedroom (NOT the ones from the living room) can be pulled open from the outside, even with the lock engaged. You actually don't even need to turn the door handle for it to open. My memory's a bit foggy because this stay was a bit ago, but I believe the locks actually weren't broken; they just don't work in the way they're integrated with the door, so I'd say this is a major design flaw. To test this: close the door, engage all the locks on the door, and directly push it open from the inside (you don't even need to turn the door handle). But again, this really isn't that big of an issue with how safe this place is, so I'd still highly recommend this property to anyone who's interested, but nonetheless it should be fixed. Overall, this place is a hidden gem, and I would rank this as one of the BEST resorts in the world. For reference, I'd say it blows the St. Regis Bora Bora out of the water, I'd rank it above the Four Seasons at Sayan, and I'd rank it just ever-so-slightly below The Ritz-Carlton Maldives (that one's hard to beat haha, but this property is VERY close!). We'll be back one day!

Perfection!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

I’m not sure if I know what perfection is, but the St Regis Bali comes as close as I’ve experienced. My wife and I just concluded a 6 day, 5 night visit. We enjoyed almost every aspect of the resort and its restaurants. It was simply wonderful. We stayed in an Orchid suite which was spacious and perfectly appointed. Butler service was never far away if we needed something, and if anything, they anticipated our needs. The room was made up twice a day unless you didn’t want it. We dined at Dulang our first night and Kayaputi our second. Exceptional both, in very different ways. But notably, there was a consistent excellence in every dish at both restaurants. Dulang has traditional Indonesian fare in a set menu concept and should be experienced at least once a stay. If restaurants in Indonesia were up for Michelin stars, Kayaputi would have at least one. From an evening dinner to their must-try Sunday Astor Brunch, everything (yes, I actually mean that), was wonderful. The fine touches are everywhere in each dish and drink. They should be so proud of their attention to detail, it’s so difficult to find these days. We noticed! We had lunch at Gourmand Deli one day and it was just right in hitting the spot. We enjoyed dinner in our suite on our last night and the setup was great and the quality was there too. My wife ordered an Indonesian dish and I was craving something simple and western. Both delivered. The St Regis Bar was lovely, cocktails/mocktails were fresh and the evening entertainment very enjoyable to match the mood. I clumsily knocked our table and my wife’s cocktail tumbled over. A new one was there in 3 minutes. The breakfast crew in Boneka were great. The mix of a la carte and buffet was nice. The daily fresh juices were incredible. Omelettes great. Daily dim sum was slot-on. Coffees flowed on request. Pastries were diverse every day. Food/drink prices across the resort are more than competitive. We dined at another resort one night for a specific type of cuisine and it was the most expensive meal of the trip (without matching the quality we had at the St Regis restaurants). We had two sessions at Iridium Spa, one was a 150-minute couples Balinese massage followed by 60-minute facials. The other was a 60-minute Balinese massage on our final day which was part of our package. Great massage suites with private, outdoor showers - a unique feature. The treatments were stellar and we believed good value. We loved the actual swimming/wading you could do in the massive saltwater lagoon (water was about 4.25 ft deep) which was an unexpected delight. It felt like 250m or longer from end to end with a lounge deck in the middle. Some suites have direct access to it. Everywhere you turned, filtered water and fresh towels were there. Aloe Vera to cool your skin. A cocktail or iced tea were never far. The beach staff were happy to move lounge chairs to help us both find the shade. The Chef’s Garden within the resort was also an unexpected joy. Many herbs, vegetables and fruits served on property come from here. The staff throughout the Resort were ever present, but not bothersome, and seemed to actually obtain pleasure ensuring your needs were met as fully as possible. Smiles everywhere. Service personified. Don’t miss the fire dance one night at 6:30pm. Management deserves plenty of credit, surely, for leading and presenting what seemed like the most attentive and friendly staff from top to bottom that we can recall within the greater Marriott portfolio. This is only my second review ever on this site but halfway through our stay, I was so blown away by the St Regis Bali Resort that I knew I had to share this experience. For context, I’ve been lifetime Titanium since 2012 after a road warrior job. I’ve been an avid reader of reviews, but mostly just lurked. The St Regis Bali brought me out of the shell. It was that good. Everything you’ll see above is positive. That was our experience. As I said, it’s tough to identify perfection as you are experiencing it. This may have been it.

Excellent service and memorable moments

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

From the moment we were picked up at the airport, everything was smooth and well organized. The driver was on time, friendly, and the car was very comfortable. When we arrived at the hotel, the atmosphere was calm and peaceful there was even an elderly man playing traditional balinese musical instrument in the lobby , which created such a relaxing and welcoming vibe after a long flight. Check in was quick and the front desk staff were very kind. Marcella was especially wonderful she welcomed us with a warm smile and patiently assisted us. Throughout our stay, she always greeted us kindly and helped whenever we had questions. I gave her a small gift some chocolate from Kazakhstan as a thank you. We were also briefly assisted by Mahendra butler, who was polite and attentive, he made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. Housekeeping was great, and the facilities from the pool to the restaurants were excellent. Thank you to the entire team for such a memorable stay. We can't wait to return! Highly recommended!
