With an address like no other, The St. Regis Bali Resort brings barefoot sophistication and chic elegance to the soft, sandy beaches of Nusa Dua, the Garden of Bali. As the azure waters of the Indian Ocean gently meet the sandy beach running along the front of the resort, the sounds of the lush jungle behind fills the air, creating an atmosphere that is pure tropical paradise. The resortâ€(TM)s private gardens, pools, calm lagoon and exquisitely appointed suites and villas feel more like a decadent private residence than a resort. The St. Regis is utter refinement at home, in the lap of a luxurious natural paradise.

My husband and I stayed at the St. Regis Bali for 4 nights. While maybe not 5 stars across every category, the resort certainly deserves a 5 overall, and is one of the top resort experiences we’ve ever had. Room 4/5 All the rooms at this St. Regis are categorized as villas. We had two bookings- 1 to use our annual free night and 1 for the remaining 3. They made sure we didn’t have to change rooms since they were back to back bookings and as Platinum Elite, we were upgraded to the next category of villa, which had a spacious and beautiful backyard and a dipping pool. The room was more of a large studio in my opinion, although it had a separate entry and large closet. The living room and bed shared the same space with a curtain that could separate the two, and felt quite comfortable. We received hats, a bag, and welcome snacks and fruit. Snacks (usually some kind of sweet like macarons or madelines) and fruit were replaced daily during turn down. The bathroom was spacious and we appreciated the separation of the toilet for privacy. I appreciated the Balinese styling of the room, and was really impressed by some of the wood carving in the furniture— so beautiful. However, we did find the room slightly aged and it seemed like it wasn’t very well insulated, as it felt quite humid inside even with continuous a/c. The backyard was stunning in design but a bit hard to enjoy in practice due to the amount of mosquitos (what can you do). The pool was overly chlorinated. We ended up spending most of our time at the pool and beach instead. The Grounds/ Service 5/5 The resort is beautiful - from the moment you drive through the gates to the lobby, lush gardens, staircases, pools, beach… it’s all amazing and what you expect of the St. Regis brand. The pool side and the beaches have plenty of cabanas and umbrellas/ seating, and someone is always there to help set up your chair with towel coverings and cold water. The beach is large and very clean. Staff come by periodically to offer a complimentary snack or drink - felt like it was every 30 minutes or so. If you were hanging out a long time they’d even come by with fresh bottles of cold water. If the spot we were in became too sunny, they kindly helped us move to another spot. We felt so pampered. More examples of excellent service: As afore mentioned, Bali has a lot of mosquitos and unfortunately my citronella based spray was not deterring them at all. I asked the butler that had arrived for turn down service if they had any mosquito spray in the gift shop. He told to just wait 2 minutes, left the room and promptly returned with a bottle for me. I was surprised and really appreciated the thoughtfulness. We were provided with a Butler service WhatsApp number, which was very convenient. Questions and requests were promptly answered. Like astonishingly quickly. Everyone was professional, friendly and warm. Several staff engaged us in conversation and felt like they genuinely wanted to talk to us. In particular, we had a couple really nice conversations with the beach / recreation staff. Food 4/5 I’m hard to impress when it comes to food, but the food at the St. Regis was pretty good. Breakfast was generous and had a large variety, with daily changes to keep it interesting. It was mostly a buffet with the option of ordering a variety of small dishes (some not even very small), which felt very generous. We really like snake fruit and ate it every morning. After the first day, I noticed they had refilled our room fruit plate to include one. On another morning I noticed another patron was eating mangosteen. I asked a waitress if they had any and she brought us a plate - and again, later that day, a mangosteen appeared on our fruit plate in the room - yet another example of excellent service and attention to detail. We had the buffet dinner one time and it was a similar format with mixed buffet, small plate ordering, and also included a grill. I noticed some repeats from breakfast which was fine since there was such a large variety. Quality was better than most buffets out there. We also ate at the Dulang restaurant which had a set menu, showcasing Balinese food - and we quite enjoyed that. I don’t remember the price, but it was reasonable for a high end resort and the dishes had great presentation and were all quite good. There were also two Balinese dances during dinner which added to the ambiance. Marriott Bonvoy Recognition 5/5 I already mentioned earlier that we were granted a room upgrade as Platinum Elite. In addition, we were granted 4pm check out the last day. Our rate included breakfast and we were offered the choice of 1000 points or 30 minutes foot massage (for two people) at the Spa. We chose the massage and it was excellent. I could go on and on but this is getting ridiculously long, so I’ll stop it here, as I feel like I’ve made my point that this place is amazing and I’ve sufficiently fawned over this place!

Our stay at The St. Regis Bali Resort was truly extraordinary and unforgettable. We received a surprise room upgrade, received friendly and impeccable service from the entire staff, and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel's facilities, including the spa, massage, and well-equipped gym. Thank you to Ms. Lita (receptionist) for assisting with check-in, Mr. Andi (butler) for promptly attending to our needs, and Mr. Wira and Mr. Gara for their heartfelt breakfast service. We would especially like to express our appreciation and gratitude to Mr. Agung, the head chef, who treated us to all the delicious specialties. The breakfast here was truly unlike any other hotel we've stayed at. It was so comprehensive and delicious, it felt like brunch. Thank you, St. Regis Bali. It was a short but memorable night, making us want to stay again.

I visited The St. Regis Bali tonight under the mistaken impression that it housed the Rock Bar. Despite the mix-up, being a Platinum Marriott Bonvoy member, I decided to stay for a drink and a bite to eat. My experience was a true "rollercoaster" of highs and lows. The Highlights: Service & Entertainment I want to start by commending the security, bell staff, and butlers. They provided an excellent "room view walk-around," which was incredibly helpful as I am currently deciding between here and the Four Seasons for my upcoming trip in late May. Their professionalism was world-class. Additionally, I arrived just in time for the live attraction show, which was truly magnifique and magical—a real highlight of the evening. The Lows: Ambiance & The Deli Unfortunately, the rest of the evening fell short: • The Bar: Located right in front of the lobby, the bar was empty and the ambiance felt quite "sad" and lacking in energy. • The Deli Experience: I ordered the tempura udon, but the service regarding payment was unacceptable. Before sitting down, I confirmed that I could redeem Marriott Bonvoy points for my consumption. The team seemed very unpleasant about this request and tried to make the process unnecessarily complicated. • Point Redemption Failure: Despite being told redemption was possible (though no discounts applied), the team declined the point redemption after my meal. They insisted on payment via card or cash. Final Thoughts While I was very disappointed, I chose not to pursue the matter further with a manager as I’d had a long day and simply wanted to head home. I paid the bill and left, but the experience was far from pleasant. The Deli team requires significant training in both Bonvoy procedures and guest relations. It is a shame that such a poor dining experience overshadowed the incredible work done by the rooms and entertainment teams.

Our second visit to the St Regis. An outstanding hotel with wonderful staff. We enjoyed eating at both Boneka and the Deli. Thoroughly recommend for a longer stay as the swimming pool and sea water lagoon are exceptional. The guys at the Vista bar are so good too. Great service guaranteed by Adi, Aditya and the rest of the team. We do hope to return again.

This is the nicest resort we have ever been to. Our room was so comfortable and spacious--it had every touch of elegnace that we could ask for. The beach was very clean and the service at the beach was excellent. I loved the saltwater lagoon, it was big enough that I could do nice, long laps in the morning. The breakfast was one of the best we have ever seen--lots of excellent Asian style food as well as more traditional western options. The pastry chef at the resort is amazing. The drinks and service at the pool bar was good--we enjoyed swimming in the pool. I wish this resort wasn't so far away from us, if it were a closer I would go back every year. The people who work at the property are lovely, and so helpful.
