About the Hotel

With an address like no other, The St. Regis Bali Resort brings barefoot sophistication and chic elegance to the soft, sandy beaches of Nusa Dua, the Garden of Bali. As the azure waters of the Indian Ocean gently meet the sandy beach running along the front of the resort, the sounds of the lush jungle behind fills the air, creating an atmosphere that is pure tropical paradise. The resort(TM)s private gardens, pools, calm lagoon and exquisitely appointed suites and villas feel more like a decadent private residence than a resort. The St. Regis is utter refinement at home, in the lap of a luxurious natural paradise.

Reviews for The St. Regis Bali Resort

Pure Bliss

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Our family spent a week at the St. Regis. Simply said, it was magical from beginning to end. The pick up at the airport was smooth and easy with cool clothes, waters and luggage assistance. Upon arrival to the St Regis we found refreshing drinks, flowers for our ears, and wonderful sounds filling the main lobby. We couldn't have wished for a better start! The St Regis grounds are immaculate and the staff, from the airport transportation, to the butlers, to the waitstaff, bar staff, transportation, private drivers, spa staff and even the doctor and her nurse...every single employee was kind and gracious. Their service and smiles elevated our stay to a new level. The food was spectacular not only to look at but we ate far too much in a week! Everything was delicious. In the past, our hotel stays have been memorable due to the location and the accomodation but this one was so much more...the food, the service, the genuine kindness, the gorgeous villas, the culture and so much more. Special thank you to Eka, at Boneka, who we will never forget, Agus Budhiana , his kindness (and delicious ginger tea delivery) and Felix Schneoring for the incredible customer service he provided. Also, Tu Adi our lovely butler, Tina and Emi at gourmand deli and Gusde at the St Regis Bar. A heartfelt thank you from us all. I hope it won't be too long until we are back again.

Most beautiful hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Just returned from this fantastic and beautiful hotel. The staff were so lovely and nothing was too much for them. We had our 51st anniversary here and we were thoroughly spoilt from morning till night and still a few days later. I cannot praise the hotel and staff highly enough, to the lovely Evelyn who sent up the Aloe Vera to help sooth our sun burn, Evelyn also did our granddaughter’s names in Balinese, for which I was so grateful. She is an amazing person, together with Dias and Suyasa in the Boneka, I miss you both, who were so attentive together with all the staff, I’m so sorry that I didn’t get your names, but how I miss you. Santos our butler you were amazing, nothing too much trouble for you. Tu Adi, another great butler. Diaz thank you for keeping the Aloe Vera stocked up in our room, it was truly appreciated. Yanti, Desak, Deivi and Nova, for keeping our room lovely and clean, hope we were not too messy. Also to the lovely people in the Deli, for the lovely sandwich, cake and coffee, so sorry I didn’t get to say goodbye.and also to the staff on the beach for supplying us with drinks and towels etc, you do a fantastic job. Our anniversary was so amazing I will get out your cards on every anniversary in future. Well that’s about it. For the hotel, you could not find a more fabulous one, I highly recommend the St Regis for cleanliness, thoughtfulness, and the most polite people you could ever meet. Don’t believe any negative comments, as the old saying goes “you can’t please everyone”. But believe me you would have the most relaxing time at this hotel.

Very Disappointed to Be Treated as We Were

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We are currently in Bali (April 2024) on a 3.5 week stay and are spreading our hotel stays across 4 different Marriott branded hotels as we are loyal Marriott Bonvoy members. In late 2022, we also stayed for 3 weeks in Bali and stayed at 4 other Marriott branded hotels. As former Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador Elite members (2023) and current Titanium Elite members (with 218 elite nights during 2023), we found it absolutely outrageous to be treated with such disrespect when we stopped into the Nusa Dua St. Regis (part of the Marriott family of hotels) to have a drink at their beach front bar and a short break from the heat of the day this past Friday, April 26, 2024. We identified ourselves as Titanium Elite members to the security staff at the front entrance of the property and let them know we wanted to see the grounds of the property to consider it for a future stay and to have a drink at their beach front bar. They graciously invited us onto the property and directed us to the lobby after parking our scooter. We then walked towards the beach seeing that it was not very busy that afternoon, either at the beach itself or at the bar. Noticing there was absolutely no-one using the lounges in front of the beach front bar, we sat down and requested a drinks menu so we could relax, enjoy a cocktail and take in the view. The server then asked us for our room number and we stated that were not staying at the resort, but at another Marriott property on Bali, that we were Titanium Elite members (provided evidence on the Bonvoy app) and just wanted to enjoy the view and have a drink for about 30 minutes. We were told that we could not be served at all at the beach front bar as we were not guests of the resort. I was absolutely shocked to hear this. I reiterated that we were Titanium Elite level members and that we just wanted to enjoy a cocktail yet this server was adamant that we leave the area and suggested we go to their deli for a drink. Needless to say, we left the hotel in an extremely bad mood and skipped the deli. We have stayed at several of Marriott's higher end brands, including St. Regis, Ritz Carlton, Ritz Carlton Reserve and JW Marriott) around the world and have NEVER ONCE experienced this type of absolutely poor hospitality. It is inexcusable. Coincidentally, just a week ago we enjoyed an amazing dinner on the beach at the Nusa Dua Ritz Carlton where were were treated absolutely wonderfully - see my recent TripAdvisor review on this - and we were not overnights guests of the resort!! We can only assume the St Regis wasn't interested in our spending money at their resort. We'll spend it somewhere else then.

Exquisite

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Dont even bother reading the negative reviews, this place is heavenly! We only stayed for one night but none of the hotels we stayed after matched this one. The room is very spacious , amazing balcony, the bathroom is luxurious. There are amazing little details everywhere around the room, it smells incredibile. The breakfast was as good as a dinner in London such as Lobster and foie gras omelette! The staff we encountered couldn’t have been more friendly and polite. The beach was extremely clean, and the pool very well maintained. 10/10 for our short stay, it will definitely hold a special place in my heart ❤️

Overall, an amazing property!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Overall a fantastic resort in a very competitive area. What makes St Regis stand out is definitely the service. From the airport reps to every single employee that we encountered on our trip, we were amazed by the level of service. The stand outs were without a doubt the butlers, especially our first Butler Tu Adi. We have travelled the World and have never encountered his level of service and kindness. The other butlers Adi and Manzo (I hope I didn't get it wrong) were fantastic too. Both the lady and the gentleman at concierge were also brilliant. The staff by the main pool were also amazing however the food service needs to improve. Food items take very long by the pool. The grounds were immaculate, the lagoon pool was the most beautiful we had ever seen. The villas were large and very well laid out however they are in definite need of a refurbishment especially the kitchens and windows! The driver the hotel gave us Komang was also another highlight of our trip, great knowledge, spoke great English and drove very well. The food overall is also brilliant. The breakfast buffet could be improved but the a la carte options were great. Kayuputi was also incredible and the drinks in the bar by Giri and the other younger guy were fantastic. The biggest disappointment was without a doubt the kids club, a couple of small dark rooms with a small courtyard that did not appeal to our kids at all. If it wasn't for the lovely ladies working there, that place would always be empty. The management should definitely think of building a bigger kids club to keep up with the competition in the area. Overall as days passed, we loved everything more and more due to the incredible food and service. The rooms and facilties need to be upgraded for the property to be able to compete at their price level. I had written all the staff names down but unfortunately I lost the paper so apologies to the ones that I forgot. We will definitely return. Thank you for the Titanium upgrade to a 2 bed villa!
