W Bali, Seminyak

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in the Oasis One Bedroom Villa and absolutely loved it. The jungle-like entrance is stunning, and villa guests get a private check-in. Our room was incredible - super private with our own pool (perfect for a night swim!), a massive comfortable bed, and a huge bathroom. They even left us fresh coconuts, treats, and rose petals in the tub! The staff are the best, especially our buggy driver, Andre, who was always smiling. Breakfast here is next level. You can eat at FIRE (loved picking my own coffee mug) or Starfish Bloo, which has an insane buffet and ocean views. We also loved grabbing a drink at Starfish Bloo just to watch the sunset. During the day, the main pool is fun - definitely get the Mexican slushy cocktail! I had a great Balinese massage with Sherly at the AWAY Spa. Make sure to use the plunge pools and sauna. The location is also perfect, making it really easy to walk to the best shops and restaurants in Seminyak. An amazing trip, we would 100% stay again!

Standard rooms do the trick - great size and well appointed. Beds ( including the sofa beds) are extremely comfortable. Breakfast is excellent - focus on natural and healthy selections over every Asian delight. Great service and very helpful stuff. Common areas are well maintained and staffed. Heaps of towels and sun beds, could do with some more umbrellas. Staff are excellent - helpful and the right style for a casual holiday resort. The doorman and restaurant staff take the cake. Service can be a little slow, but that is at the edges. Many reviews suggest the hotel is a little edgy - and this is fine for families with kids >10 years of age. Location is also central, but you feel a little separate for the hustle and bustle of Seminyak. BTW, to the beach to the north of the hotel a number of restaurants exist. These are great. Two brothers own one of them. If you want surf lessons, just pop in and ask. One brother is the life guard, the other will take you surfing.

I have had multiple amazing experiences here at the W, and would not choose any other accommodation when staying in seminyak Bali, I have been looked after extremely well by Don at the W, he is an amazing and valued staff member, and look forward to visiting again! 🙂

We had a wonderful stay at W Bali. The service was consistently friendly and attentive, and the staff really made us feel welcome. We stayed in a villa, which was spacious, modern, and very well maintained. The facilities throughout the resort were stylish and in excellent condition. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had at a hotel, with a great selection and high-quality food. We also enjoyed the restaurants, and the gym was well-equipped. Overall, a great resort that we would happily stay at again.

This was our first trip to Bali, and it was booked in a haste without much time for research. On our long car ride from Ubud in the north to W Bali in the south, I was taken aback by a few recent reviewers complaining about the lack of responsiveness to their requests. Our experience turned out to be the polar opposite; I bet this hotel management takes customer reviews seriously! The staff at the lobby and check-in desk, porters who shuttled and introduced us to our villa, housekeeping staff who followed up promptly for additional or on-demand requests, and the dining room servers were all energetic, smart, and quick to respond to our needs. The food selection and quality were good. The staff at the spa was accommodative to my personal preferences and provided a relaxing environment for massage. In addition, chatting with my massage therapist, Mira, a soft-spoken young woman, inspired me with how the local people gain resiliency through their faith. That was invaluable.
