Reviews for Rimrock Resort Hotel
The hotel was over looking the mountains. At night time the ferry lights on the tree and along the fence lit up just like Xmas. All the public areas were tastefully decorated. The stunning photos in the lobby hallway of local scene highlighted the beauty of surrounding areas even further. Our room was over looking the road but it still had pleasant tree views. The room had a nice layout and bed was very comfortable, however we did have a couple of small issues with the room - the toilet did not flush properly and semi-blocked and the hairdryer’s plug was bent therefore not able to be inserted in to the socket, had to phone reception twice to get a replacement. Surprised that this category hotel provided bathrobes but no slippers. Toiletries only included shampoo, conditioner, soap but no shower caps, cotton buds etc. Hotel charged water bottles in the room at $3.45 while an airport hotel in Calgary with half the rate of Rimrock's cheapest rooms could provide 2 bottles daily for free! Rimrock hotel had pleasant dining rooms. The cafe shop that sold snacks and soup etc. was very handy. Had dinner in the Larskpur lounge - fish and chips and sandwich with ham/beef were tasty. Service was good and the lounge had lovely atmosphere especially views of the mountains with the gentle afternoon sun and Autumn leaves. We sat in Larskpur lounge again after checking out since we enjoyed the atmosphere so much.

I would highly recommend the Rimrock. The views are stunning. The staff are amazing. The food was great. The Rimrock is an overall exceptional hotel. I will definitely stay there again and would highly recommend it to family and friends
A very relaxing and peaceful place to relax with family and friends. Location with the excellent bus service to downtown was even better than staying in heart of the shopping area was great. Loved proximity to Gondola and Hot Springs.

It's hard not to rave about this hotel. From the front, it is very understated. But once you step in, luxury and views abound. The doormen were friendly and helpful and the desk clerk was personable, efficient and welcoming. Even the housekeeping staff we met in the hallway always had a friendly greeting. The light and spacious pool and hot tub were large and quite enjoyable, and the change rooms etc were all clean, tidy, and well equipped. Our standard room was spacious, with two elegant armchairs - great for taking in the superb view. The bathroom was spacious had a nice shower. Be sure to take in the grand lobby and the upscale dining options in the hotel. The hotel IS built on a mountainside, so 2/3 of the rooms are below the lobby level and the parking structure is quite a distance from the north wing. Park on level 7 if you can, as this is also the lobby level.

Our room had a wonderful view of the awesome mountains behind the hotel. The room was large and nicely decorated and comfortable. The only downside was that eating in the hotel was expensive. They did provide a shuttle to downtown Banff and there were some wonderful restaurants there.
