It is a great pleasure for me to comment on my stay at THE LEELA PALACE HOTEL with these words. To begin with: these four days from January 22nd to 26th, 2026, were a truly unique experience for me. And I owe this uniqueness to the people at THE LEELA PALACE who took such good care of me. The welcome from the doorman, the lady who dabbed my forehead with scented oil, the second lady who placed a flower mala around my neck—it was all stylish and elegant in its own way. Then I met Marnin Martin Rose: she said she would be responsible for me during my stay and would fulfill my wishes. Rose didn't overpromise: within minutes, she had arranged a personal yoga session for me, with the teacher Karma, for the next morning at 7:30 a.m. in the yoga pavilion. I subsequently had three private lessons with Karma: His seriousness, his concentration, his approachability, his skill, and his friendly manner were a great asset to me, and I am deeply grateful to him. One day, he even came to the hotel just for me, even though he actually had the day off. One evening, Rose surprised me with a very special Rusraksha mala and a bracelet made of healing stones, along with a handwritten card. Every day, she asked me how I was doing via WhatsApp, invited me to events, and asked if I needed anything. It was a particular pleasure for me to meet the executive butler, Mohit Diwedi. Mohit took time for me every day, and I will never forget our conversations. On the last day, he presented me with a small flower at breakfast. It was Mohit who pinned a sticker with the Indian flag to my lapel during the flag ceremony on Republic Day. When I checked out, Arka at the reception desk slipped a pocket silk square with a beautiful Leela Palace design into the lapel pocket of my Indian vest. I spent the last hour with Mohit Diwedi in the club on the fifth floor, where he told me the history of the building with paintings and a magnificent book, over an espresso. No other hotel in the world has ever welcomed and looked after me so warmly, personally, attentively, and lovingly. I will be returning very soon.

Listing out all the things that ruined our stay: 1. Housekeeping - came ONLY ONCE in the day to clean, when I was busy at work. I asked them to return later - and they did not, despite several calls. Staff not trained well enough to communicate properly with customers. 2. Service charge was added by default to EVERY SINGLE BILL, although it is not allowed. 3. The reservation included a 10% off on everything, but not a single bill - laundry, restaurant, in-room dining carried the discount and the bill had to be sent back EVERY SINGLE TIME 4. Once, a bill was posted to the front desk without our signature 5. Every day, the room key card was deactivated and we had to go to the front desk to get it reactivated 6. The reservation also included one local transport/trip, within a 10-15 radius. We wanted to avail this to go somewhere less than 5-6 km away, but the travel desk person wanted the exact and complete address of the destination - he would not accept the area, and street number. His questions had a tone of suspicion and doubt, and was highly insulting 7. The room by itself was excellent in design and decor - this was really the ONLY positive aspect OVERALL: IT WAS A HIGHLY EXPENSIVE STAY AND NOT WORTH IT AT ALL.
