Reviews for The Leela Palace Bengaluru
Beware: this is very subjective review. Leela's Palace is generally a true luxury old style hotel. Common areas and lobby are quite attractive. The grounds are beatiful and well maintained. Service is mostly competent, and very friendly. A little too "in your face", too polite, would prefer a little less attention, as in most Western hotels. Note that not all staff members are good English speakers, and their understanding of more complex concepts is a bit lacking. Rooms are large and clean, fairly tastefully decorated, but definitely older. Breakfast buffet is great, served on attractive outdoor terrace. Bars and restaurants are diverse and good, but very expensive. The cost is major drawback. Lodging, food, and drinks are just way too expensive, unreasonably so, for Bengaluru. I understand that it is one of the best hotels in town, but rooms are well over $200, not justifiable. Drink prices are one of the highest in the city, and globally not competitive. Food is too expensive as well. They are banking that Western business travelers are on expense accounts, and will be uncomfortable to venture outside themselves. I am an exception, explored the city, and beg to differ. There are much better places to eat and drink than Leela's. Hence, 4 stars out of 5, and certainly a good option on expense account

I've stayed here three times and the Leela has been consistently great each time. The staff is very friendly, approachable, and helpful which makes any hotel stay more enjoyable. The rooms are very nice, the pool area is wonderful, the restaurants are very good, and housekeeping is very well done. Bangalore is a noisy city with lots of honking cars but I always sleep soundly in a quiet room. Room price is low and a great value compared with some other cities world-wide but restaurant and drink prices are commensurate with other big cities.

Recently visited the hotel for official purpose... Checkin was prompt. quality of indian food need to be improve... Continental food is too good staff at restaurant are highly appreciable... Front desk is the good asset for the hotel..
I cannot say enough about the service here. The car service alone is worth it, the drivers are excellent. Jay stayed with me for my entire stay and was pleasant, made me feel safe and even came in to a store with me so I would feel more comfortable thank on my own. Rooms are clean and luxurious. Room service was very good. Laundry also done well. Food options are also very good. Lots of places to relax. If you are travelling on business come here.

I did not stay at Leela but attended a business conference hosted there for 2 days. Overall, the hotel provides a very luxurious ambience with huge halls for business conferences and spacious verandahs for informal catch up etc. The food was good but not great. I expected something better from Leela. The tea and the coffee served during the breaks was amazing. I would like to stay here sometime.
