Banyan Tree Bangkok in Bangkok, Thailand
There’s something to be said for a 21st-story outdoor swimming pool, but Banyan Tree Bangkok is not just a vertical resort. Situated in one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic cultural centers, amidst the best retail and entertainment, this is a headquarters of sophistication. It even offers a “shopping companion” to guide you through the city’s alleyways. And with its aromatherapy burner, even your room is a journey for the senses. The restaurant’s 53rd-floor restaurant Taihei serves sake and sashimi in the clouds, and everyone from concierge to massage therapist extends the hospitality for which Thailand is known.
Indulge in a breakfast of banana pancakes and a traditional Thai coffee, sweetened with condensed milk. Energized, visit Bangkok’s Grand Palace, the home of Thailand’s president, and stroll through the famous Buddhist temple Wat Pho, home of the giant Reclining Buddha. On your way to the river, you’ll only need a couple dozen baht to enjoy the street food: chicken satay, mango sticky rice, roast pork belly or a shell of coconut milk. Board Banyan Tree’s own “Aspara” riverboat and enjoy an elegant dinner of crab in coconut broth as you see the traditional floating markets in action.

Reviews for Banyan Tree Bangkok
We stayed in the Banyan Tree for 3 nights before going off for 10 nights by the sea. The room was great and the staff very friendly. All in all we had a nice time. The only critsisium for me was the cost of a buffet meal which worked out at around £38 each. A bit much for a Buffett in my opinion. It also has to be said that the staff in the hotel were extremely helpful and polite and couldn't do enough for you.

I've stayed in a number of hotels however I can comfortably say that this is my favourite hotel ever. Service: Excellent. Upon discovering it was our anniversary we were provided with complimentary drinks and desserts sent to our room. Continuously checking to see if we were enjoying our stay and if they could assist. Room: The bed was amazing. You'll fall asleep instantly on it! They give you a pillow menu so you can choose what is your preference. There is a lounge area, bedroom and bathroom. The lounge area has a separate tv (there's on in the bedroom too) and has a couple of sofas. The bathroom is very nice too with a great shower. Food: Dinner at the vertigo is a must, purely for the view of the city. It is pricey and although the food probably isn't to the standard you'd expect, it's still very good. Gym: decent gym. Has a smith machine and DB rack. There's also a nice outdoor swimming pool with a decent view.

The moon bar overlooking Bangkok situated many stories above a street level was one of the highlights of our trip. A complimentary drink with a gorgeous sunset was just stunning. The room was very nice with a separate bedroom. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were very helpful. A lovely stay.

Banyan Tree's service is as good as ever, and rooms and other facilities are well maintained! The moon bar on the top floor and the hotel's own cruise ship are highly recommended for a great experience! The downside is that the type of breakfast on the 19th floor is slightly different from the change. If you live for a long time, you will feel tired.

After two weeks traveling around Thailand we decided to end our trip in the Banyan Tree hotel after hearing about the moon bar it seemed the perfect place to look out over Bangkok and reflect on our trip. We were not disappointed! We booked a serenity club suite for two nights. We were greeted with complimentary local refreshments and snacks as the helpful staff arranged our check in. We were escorted to our rooms which were immaculate with amazing views across Bangkok - we almost didn't leave the room! That is until we read the hotel information... Free flow local beer 10am-8pm and complimentary cocktails 5.30pm-7.30pm with lots of canapes and snacks provided throughout the day in the club lounge on the 19th floor (only for certain rooms I believe). The staff in the lounge were happy and helpful, especially Sugar and Sang who happily kept our glasses and tummies full and spoke and laughed with us throughout our stay. Not an easy task as we're all fussy eaters, the first place in Thailand to understand gluten free! They are a real credit to the hotel. Mr Wat approached us in the club lounge and spoke with us, he gave us some great advice on how to spend our last days and told us of things to look out for and be aware of which saved us a lot of time and money! He spent time with us after his shift had ended, talking and joking with us which made our time even more memorable. We mentioned going to the palace and markets and when we met in the lobby the next morning he was already arranging our taxi and itinerary for the day. A very knowledgeable and helpful man - thank you very much Mr Wat! The hotel is in a great location only a short taxi away from some of the popular tourist attractions including the palace and the reclining Buddha - both must visit places in Bangkok. The moon bar does have incredible views, the rooms do come with daily fruit baskets and aromatherapy and the food and drink is lovely but undeniably, the staff at Banyan Tree make this hotel exceptional and make it worth every baht. They simply could not do enough to ensure our stay was the pinnacle of our time in Thailand. Thank you Sugar, Sang, Mr Wat and everyone else who made our stay a memorable experience!
