Banyan Tree Bangkok in Bangkok, Thailand

There’s something to be said for a 21st-story outdoor swimming pool, but Banyan Tree Bangkok is not just a vertical resort. Situated in one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic cultural centers, amidst the best retail and entertainment, this is a headquarters of sophistication. It even offers a “shopping companion” to guide you through the city’s alleyways. And with its aromatherapy burner, even your room is a journey for the senses. The restaurant’s 53rd-floor restaurant Taihei serves sake and sashimi in the clouds, and everyone from concierge to massage therapist extends the hospitality for which Thailand is known.

Indulge in a breakfast of banana pancakes and a traditional Thai coffee, sweetened with condensed milk. Energized, visit Bangkok’s Grand Palace, the home of Thailand’s president, and stroll through the famous Buddhist temple Wat Pho, home of the giant Reclining Buddha. On your way to the river, you’ll only need a couple dozen baht to enjoy the street food: chicken satay, mango sticky rice, roast pork belly or a shell of coconut milk. Board Banyan Tree’s own “Aspara” riverboat and enjoy an elegant dinner of crab in coconut broth as you see the traditional floating markets in action.

The Banyan is legit and you why you haven't already booked a stay if you're rolling thru Bangkok for a few days is beyond me. It's advertised as a 5-star and they left me no doubt. From the warm reception, to the "here's your exotic fruity drink while you wait for check-in", to the chauffeur who escorted the bags/showcased the room, to the room itself, the overall location, and of course the SKYBAR; it all was on point! You won't be disappointed and to stay at this place for $140ish (at least for me this time around) was definitely worth it. The staff is phenomenal and professional, Miss Maria who works at the front, especially! And if that's not good enough, the freaking menus glow in the dark on the rooftop bar/restaurant if you go there at night (and they take a picture and give it to you for free too up there). Banyan.. where 5-star rooms meet 5-star experience

This was our second stay at The Banyan Tree. It was amazing as always. I want to live there! I emailed in advance to request an early check-in and our room was ready at 7am, and we were upgraded which was a lovely surprise, especially after an 11 hour flight from London. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

Outstanding hotel in Bangkok. Every stuff has a lot of service mind, and comfortable room. I like Baiyun restaurant, there is many kind of Chinese food. The public area is so clean. I love this hotel!

A week long stay at this wonderful hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, especially the lovely Mr Wat at the front desk. Fabulous views from the 48th floor and prosecco presented for our wedding anniversary. Pool service very attentive and free massage was great. Best breakfast ever. Truly wonderful stay, would recommend
