Banyan Tree Bangkok in Bangkok, Thailand

There’s something to be said for a 21st-story outdoor swimming pool, but Banyan Tree Bangkok is not just a vertical resort. Situated in one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic cultural centers, amidst the best retail and entertainment, this is a headquarters of sophistication. It even offers a “shopping companion” to guide you through the city’s alleyways. And with its aromatherapy burner, even your room is a journey for the senses. The restaurant’s 53rd-floor restaurant Taihei serves sake and sashimi in the clouds, and everyone from concierge to massage therapist extends the hospitality for which Thailand is known.

Indulge in a breakfast of banana pancakes and a traditional Thai coffee, sweetened with condensed milk. Energized, visit Bangkok’s Grand Palace, the home of Thailand’s president, and stroll through the famous Buddhist temple Wat Pho, home of the giant Reclining Buddha. On your way to the river, you’ll only need a couple dozen baht to enjoy the street food: chicken satay, mango sticky rice, roast pork belly or a shell of coconut milk. Board Banyan Tree’s own “Aspara” riverboat and enjoy an elegant dinner of crab in coconut broth as you see the traditional floating markets in action.

A fabulous experience and stupendous view. Food was amazing - we had the three course menu and it was without doubt one of best meals we've ever had. Pricey though - expect to pay Ā£100pp before drinks but worth it if looking for a one off evening.

This is a great hotel if you have some cash to spend on a relaxing Bangkok experience. The horizon room, the basic room, is excellent value. It has a separate lounge area and is extremely comfortable. The bed is amazing! The pool area is small, but lovely. The breakfast is plentiful but tends to be focused on an Asian style, which caters for most of the guests. You'll find something to eat. The common areas are always clean and the staff are excellent. Overall I had a great stay. If you want somewhere close to the centre and with shops and massages outside the door then this not the place to stay. There are some great massage places within a 10 min walk but not a lot more close by. The hotel is a 5 star though so that more than makes up for it.

We had a great time at the banyan tree hotel. Stayed for two days and enjoyed the hospitality of the hotel. Good mix of people from all over the world and great restaurants. Room was nice fir the three of us and the amenities were good. Important for us are bed, shower and ac and all get a tick. The pool area and gym are great except the rowing machine was defective. The complementary massage pool side by suksan was very nice. We had dinner upstairs and it is pricey but the night was great and a special occasion for us. Certainly worth the views of Bangkok, the city that does not sleep! Great time

Banyan Tree is well located and has all facilities you expect from a 5 star hotel. The rooms are rather old though. The best about staying in the Banyan Tree is that after a great evening in the al fresco Vertigo Bar and Restaurant you only have to use the lift to be in bed.

This is by far my favourite place! What a hotel! We always stay on the club floor so appreciate the club floor facilities which I highly recommend if budget is slightly flexible. The pool is obviously small but for us is more than accommodating and is perfect for what we want while in Bangkok. The gym and spa if of a good for the size of the hotel. Location is great, nothing is too far in a taxi or walking even Can't wait to return A big thank you for the birthday cake šŸ˜
