had much higher expectations given the Banyan Tree brand. The only real highlight of this hotel is the staff. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. They deserve five stars. Unfortunately, the property itself is a huge disappointment. It’s very old, poorly maintained, and feels disorganized. The building has the atmosphere of an old Soviet-era hotel rather than a modern luxury resort. This is nowhere near what I would expect from a 5-star hotel, let alone a Banyan Tree. The executive lounge is also very weak and not worth the extra cost. The selection and overall experience are far below the standards of other luxury hotels. Overall, this hotel feels much closer to a Mercure or an Adagio serviced apartment than a Banyan Tree. The excellent staff do their best, but they can’t make up for an outdated property that falls well short of the brand’s reputation.

The hotel was excellent, good size club rooms, with a great stylish bathroom, the club service was amazing with a good selection of food, the club staff were very helpful. We usually stay in the hotel next to the Banyan Tree which we love, but would come back to this hotel again for sure.
