Banyan Tree Bangkok in Bangkok, Thailand

There’s something to be said for a 21st-story outdoor swimming pool, but Banyan Tree Bangkok is not just a vertical resort. Situated in one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic cultural centers, amidst the best retail and entertainment, this is a headquarters of sophistication. It even offers a “shopping companion” to guide you through the city’s alleyways. And with its aromatherapy burner, even your room is a journey for the senses. The restaurant’s 53rd-floor restaurant Taihei serves sake and sashimi in the clouds, and everyone from concierge to massage therapist extends the hospitality for which Thailand is known.

Indulge in a breakfast of banana pancakes and a traditional Thai coffee, sweetened with condensed milk. Energized, visit Bangkok’s Grand Palace, the home of Thailand’s president, and stroll through the famous Buddhist temple Wat Pho, home of the giant Reclining Buddha. On your way to the river, you’ll only need a couple dozen baht to enjoy the street food: chicken satay, mango sticky rice, roast pork belly or a shell of coconut milk. Board Banyan Tree’s own “Aspara” riverboat and enjoy an elegant dinner of crab in coconut broth as you see the traditional floating markets in action.

The service from the staff really made this place. We were made to feel like royalty as soon as we arrived. Travelled on our honeymoon so got some nice welcome treats! The pool on the 21st floor is great, we enjoyed the sunset there with a cocktail (although had to order drinks twice as first lot never arrived - sure just a misunderstanding). Also my husband had a free massage round the pool which he said was fab! :) The staff were very welcoming and really do make this place, nothing was too much trouble. We found it reasonable price to stay here and had a fantastic 2 night stay. Also on site bank with good rates to change money, anything you need can just ask the front desk for and they are more than happy to help. Thank you for a great stay and making our honeymoon memorable x

not the cheapest one but worth the money... I been in BKK many times but this restaurant is always a must when I stay in BKK even for one evening - you could count cca 30 - 50 $ per head (depend on the drinks) but the ambience of the pace is unforgettable. I just like it despite the fact that is a little bit far away from the "city centre". recommend for dinner but you have to take in account weather - not good when is raining

I simply went for this hotel as I liked the look of the rooftop restaurant/bar and the suites. As I was celebrating a birthday I wanted the hotel to be special and my stay gave me that. When my party and I arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by welcoming staff and taken to reception where the greeting was extended. After going through the check in and out details, we were shown to our suites which mirrored the pictures on the Expedia Website where I made the booking. Overall the stay was faultless, the staff were genuinely attentive, the rooms were always cleaned to a very high standard, complimentary snacks and a birthday cake was provided and the food which we had in the Club Lounge was both tasty and catered for all foodies including vegetarians and pescatarians. The atmosphere and environment of the hotel was very professional and comfortable at the same time and having spoken to the staff members they helped me plan a successful day out with their recommendation. Overall a quality stay, albeit only for 3 days. I would definitely recommend and would definitely return and stay for longer. In terms of the types of guests this hotel would cater for, I would say everyone which is why the hotel feels special.

This hotel was great. The best of the hotel was the 21st floor pool and free massages, especially look for Chukchoi or CK. All the staff was very helpful, Boyo helped us arrange the floating market private tour which was really cool. Stunning rooftop bar with 360 view, huge rooms with all kind of toiletries.

I had 5 nights stay with my mom and children. We enjoyed the Muay Thai Training with the nice and professional trainers. As well as the SPA, which is fantastic experience! On day 2, we had a ripoff experience with a taxi driver, who charged us 4500 Thai baht for a floating market trip, on top of that the driver was asking for 1500 TB for the whole day driving service. Right after we arrived the hotel, I asked for the help from the concierge department, they saved me 1500TB. Thanks a lot! Will definitely come back
