Banyan Tree Bangkok in Bangkok, Thailand

There’s something to be said for a 21st-story outdoor swimming pool, but Banyan Tree Bangkok is not just a vertical resort. Situated in one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic cultural centers, amidst the best retail and entertainment, this is a headquarters of sophistication. It even offers a “shopping companion” to guide you through the city’s alleyways. And with its aromatherapy burner, even your room is a journey for the senses. The restaurant’s 53rd-floor restaurant Taihei serves sake and sashimi in the clouds, and everyone from concierge to massage therapist extends the hospitality for which Thailand is known.

Indulge in a breakfast of banana pancakes and a traditional Thai coffee, sweetened with condensed milk. Energized, visit Bangkok’s Grand Palace, the home of Thailand’s president, and stroll through the famous Buddhist temple Wat Pho, home of the giant Reclining Buddha. On your way to the river, you’ll only need a couple dozen baht to enjoy the street food: chicken satay, mango sticky rice, roast pork belly or a shell of coconut milk. Board Banyan Tree’s own “Aspara” riverboat and enjoy an elegant dinner of crab in coconut broth as you see the traditional floating markets in action.

Fantastic stay at the Banyan Tree Bangkok. Stayed for Two nights at the end of our 10 day trip to Thailand. Would recommend the Serenity Club Rooms-the private Club Lounge is worth the extra expense. Suksan gave a great complimentary head and neck massage whilst we sat by the pool-thank you! Incredible hotel but a little out of 'main city life'. In walking distance to a lovely large park though. We are coming back!!

Just a beautifully bliss place to stay - the place oozes class. Lucky enough to be in the club lounge and the staff look after you so well. Great amenities for my young daughters, great service round the clock. And then we come to the SPA - INCREDIBLE, not to be missed, just an amazing experience, with the benefit of a 21st floor rooftop swimming pool :) - did i mention the 59th floor open rooftop bar ;)

The Banyan Tree is a beautiful hotel, most of the staff, concierge, lobby bar staff etc. are exceptional, but unfortunately there are a few exceptions. I booked this Hotel for a foreign business client. We met in the lobby bar around 5pm for a coffee and an introductory business chat. The service staff were supberb as also was the coffee. Unfortunately the lobby musicians began to play very loud music which made a business conversation impossible, my client asked to leave, so we went to a restaurant outside the hotel. Since my client was leaving the following day we met in the Hotel for an early breakfast and to review our business discussions of the night before. I ordered eggs benedict, which was a big mistake. The eggs were slimy and runny, the sauce had no resemblance to hollandais sauce, other than the yellow colour. I had some bacon on the side which was also greasy and tasteless. The restaurant obviously needs a competent manager who understands how to prepare western food. I have noticed that a lot of Thai cooks are not familiar with the taste of western sauces and food. In fact I know a lot of Thai restaurant owners who attend the " Cordon Bleu " school in Bangkok for this reason. They want to learn what the western food that they sell to their customers is supposed to taste like, since when western customers complain, they need a reference to enable a response. Half way through our breakfast business conversation we were rudely interrupted by a lady from hotel staff who without even an "excuse me" informed us that the restaurant would be closing in 15minutes, she then began a sales pitch for their lunch. I told this lady to please leave us and to not disturb us again, as we had to quickly finish our conversation and check out. This lady obviously did not know any better, which is again a management problem. The rest of the Hotel gives 5star + service, in my opinion the basement restaurant needs a bit of better management.

Had a great time in this wonderful hotel located in the heart of Bangkok. The staff is very professional. The food especially the breakfast is amazing. The MUST TRY is the rooftop bar with 360Ā° view on the whole city + the swimming pool. Don't hesitate to go there if you need a fancy hotel to stay in Bangkok.
