Banyan Tree Bangkok

A wonderful dinner at Romsai, Banyan Tree. The atmosphere was warm and elegant, and every dish was beautifully prepared with refined flavors. We booked the Banyan Tree in Bangkok for our 3 night stay when in city on route to a further 11 night stay at a sister hotel in Phuket, before returning for one night before we fly home next week. We engaged with the hotel before our stay to book their airport transfers and even at this stage they exceeded all our expectations with detailed and expedited responses. It's difficult to put into words how perfect our initial 3 night stay was (expectations now extremely high for our return for a night), from pick up at the airport by their staff and the limo drive from airport to hotel. The experience was heightened on the return where another member of staff met us from the car at Bangkok airport and escorted us through the check in process right to immigration. This wasn't expected but absolutely welcomed. On arrival at the hotel we were met by Fong Agrm and taken to the Club Lounge to check in. Cold towels, welcome drink and then taken to our room on the 55th Floor with spectacular views across the city and Lumphini Park. The room was stunning and had every comfort with great space. Beautifully large and comfortable bed, shower and separate bath, sitting area, fridge and mini bar and large tv. We had access to the Club Lounge on the 19th floor for breakfast, afternoon tea and evening drinks which was an oasis of calm, with great breakfast choices daily and snacks and drinks. The pool area isn't the biggest and open air on the 21st floor but the day we visited we still got a sun bed each. The spa and gym are also here. The lobby area is lovely and accessed from the main road via an attached building with a main metro stop an approximate 10 mins walk to get you to all the sites within c.20 mins. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within short walking distance. We also tried the Vertigo Restaurant on the 60th floor, which has absolutely stunning views especially at night. Food and service here were up to the high standards of the rest of the hotel although pricing (not surprisingly) was higher than eating / drinking outside the hotel. Well worth a visit for the views alone. The whole experience was truly magnificent from this hotel and every member of staff we encountered but special mention to Fong Agrm, who was a joy to engage with and superb at his job. Our server, Lek, was very helpful especially with taking pictures and keeping our 5 year old entertained. He was attentive without hovering.

Great trip in a very nice river boat dinner cruise. We were very well taken care of by Lek who did a great job. The food was excellent and served in an elegant way. We enjoyed the music and seeing the great sites. Well worth it .

Went to Banyan Tree Spa (28 Nov 10am appointment) and had an excellent massage. Best massage I have had for a long time. I chose the Connection treatment. My masseuse was courteous and thoughtful about my needs. She focussed on my shoulder and upper back. Highly recommend. The staff here are so welcoming and made my experience a great one.
