Banyan Tree Bangkok in Bangkok, Thailand

There’s something to be said for a 21st-story outdoor swimming pool, but Banyan Tree Bangkok is not just a vertical resort. Situated in one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic cultural centers, amidst the best retail and entertainment, this is a headquarters of sophistication. It even offers a “shopping companion” to guide you through the city’s alleyways. And with its aromatherapy burner, even your room is a journey for the senses. The restaurant’s 53rd-floor restaurant Taihei serves sake and sashimi in the clouds, and everyone from concierge to massage therapist extends the hospitality for which Thailand is known.

Indulge in a breakfast of banana pancakes and a traditional Thai coffee, sweetened with condensed milk. Energized, visit Bangkok’s Grand Palace, the home of Thailand’s president, and stroll through the famous Buddhist temple Wat Pho, home of the giant Reclining Buddha. On your way to the river, you’ll only need a couple dozen baht to enjoy the street food: chicken satay, mango sticky rice, roast pork belly or a shell of coconut milk. Board Banyan Tree’s own “Aspara” riverboat and enjoy an elegant dinner of crab in coconut broth as you see the traditional floating markets in action.

Stayed here for four nights with family and loved it! All the rooms are like mini suites, large and very clean! Staff are friendly and courteous! Make sure you visit the Vertigo bar and the 59th floor, a bit pricey but the views are breathtaking and well worth it!

I got to Banyan Tree after a long flight at around 1000 hours and we were given a room after waiting maybe an hour on the lobby. The concierge was very generous and gave us plenty of drinks and snacks upon waiting, even complimentary drinks for the rooftop bar. Our room was nice and spacious. The king sized bed was very comfortable. Everything you'd expect from a 5 star hotel. The guest relations concierge was very helpful in booking excursions and making suggestions for dinner and activities. We ended up doing the floating market activity with their hotel since we didn't book in advance with an outside company (much cheaper) but it worked out in our favor because we ended up with a private tour since no one else booked. :) the hotel was very gracious in allowing us a late check out since we were late coming back from the floating market. Their customer service is exceptional, thank you!

Food was good. Drinks were better. Great service and breathtaking views. It’s a little pricey but worth it. Don’t book as your last night because if it rains they close. They will reschedule your reservation.

Arrived early in the morning to be welcomed with flowers and a drink, our room wasn't available until 11am but they allowed us to relax by the pool, and gave us towels and robes, our room was lovely, on the 46th floor, amazing views over the city. Huge comfy bed and everything you would expect from a 5* hotel. The staff are really helpful, the rooftop bar is well worth visiting, we had a couple of glasses of wine up there late at night, just watching the amazing view. Breakfast was really good, so much choice, enjoyed our stay very much. It's on a busy main road but it's only a 10 minute walk to the sky train, definitely would stay again.

Service, room, staff , and food all amazing. About 35 mins from SKK airport . We were given a welcome drink during checkin which was super easy. l emailed them prior to arrive to let them know we were celebrating our anniversary. They gave us a room with an amazing view as well as DELICIOUS desert brought to the room. l loved the different fruits they brought to the room everyday. And the turn down service w little gifts on the bed. l have zero complaints ... it was beautiful. Also had breakfast daily which was an amazing spread of food options, juices, etc . The outdoor seating (by the waterfall) was peaceful while eating and drinking a cappuccino. Overall amazing experience .
