Banyan Tree Bangkok in Bangkok, Thailand

There’s something to be said for a 21st-story outdoor swimming pool, but Banyan Tree Bangkok is not just a vertical resort. Situated in one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic cultural centers, amidst the best retail and entertainment, this is a headquarters of sophistication. It even offers a “shopping companion” to guide you through the city’s alleyways. And with its aromatherapy burner, even your room is a journey for the senses. The restaurant’s 53rd-floor restaurant Taihei serves sake and sashimi in the clouds, and everyone from concierge to massage therapist extends the hospitality for which Thailand is known.

Indulge in a breakfast of banana pancakes and a traditional Thai coffee, sweetened with condensed milk. Energized, visit Bangkok’s Grand Palace, the home of Thailand’s president, and stroll through the famous Buddhist temple Wat Pho, home of the giant Reclining Buddha. On your way to the river, you’ll only need a couple dozen baht to enjoy the street food: chicken satay, mango sticky rice, roast pork belly or a shell of coconut milk. Board Banyan Tree’s own “Aspara” riverboat and enjoy an elegant dinner of crab in coconut broth as you see the traditional floating markets in action.

My husband and I stayed in a 1 bedroom suite for 7 nights for our anniversary. The room was large with a lovely plunge bath. The gym offers a few classes in the week and I had tried the muay thai boxing. A big thanks to badmynton who taught me my first kick boxing class. He was an excellent teacher showing me the basics. We didn't use the pool however we caught some rays on the sun loungers...we always got a seat. As vegetarians the Lounge staff had kindly accommodated our needs for the afternoon tea and daily canapes. The hotel is about 10mins to the nearest mrt or bts and very close to alot of great coffee shops and restaurants. Thanks Bayan tree for making our holiday unforgettable!! Mohini Patel

Excellent hotel, very enjoyable stay. The room was large, very clean and had everything that you would need during your stay. The breakfast was absolutely brilliant, and catered for all nationalities. Would deffinately recomend this hotel.

Banyan Tree Bangkok is a place to relax, the room is big and full of aromatic smell. And I must point out that the staffs there are friendly and helpful, that they're highly appreciated. But I must say that the location of the hotel is not that good, we have to walk for 15 minutes to MRT or BTS. And the frequency of the shuttle can be improved.

Little bit small swimming pool i expected, but the quality was good. And in Spa, was very nice, when i asked about night market for shopping, she introduce for me after massage, very kindly. But the Roof-top bar, Moon bar service was little bit disappointed so the fee was feel more expensive versus the service.

We stayed at the Banyan Tree Bangkok as part of a trip to the far east and had travelled to Bangkok from Hong Kong. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by the staff and given a beautiful jasmine wrist garland, which smelt divine. The reception area is plush, comfy and welcoming. We completed the check in process and were offered a welcome drink whilst doing so. All very professionally managed and we were soon on our way to our room which was located on the 46th floor. The lifts were extremely hot and there didn't seem to be working air con in them, which isn't really a problem but we did think we'd hate to be stuck in one at times they were stifling. Rooms are comfy, however they are very dark. They are clean and suited are needs and we didn't spend too much time in it. On the first night we went straight up to the Moon Bar, as expected it was very busy with mostly groups of same sex people and a few couples. We weren't really fans of the bar, it was expensive and felt like a bit of a pick up joint! We had prior to our arrival been in contact with the concierge to arrange some trips and book the Baan Kahnitha river boat dinner. They were really helpful and all the arrangements we made in advance were in place as required. We would definitely recommend planning your trips in this way the team did a great job. Pool, gym and spa area are lovely and were a good way to spend an hour or so before getting ready for dinner at the end of the day. The hotel also has it's own tuk-tuk which will take you to the train stations, its complementary and we used this on one of the day. We didn't eat at the hotel with the exception of breakfast which was very good with a wide range of cuisines on offer. Truly something for everyone.
