Banyan Tree Bangkok

We have stayed here twice in the past two years. We have another trip booked this year. If you haven’t guessed it, I love Bangkok. There has always been five in the travelling party. With children ranging in ages from 2 to 13. We have stayed at the hotel in parties of up to 10 (three travelling groups). We were originally recommended the hotel by my friend who had previously lived in Bangkok. Because of the kids ages, we needed a reliable and comfortable base, where everyone could recharge after a long day in the thick of it. The hotel is really, really good. It’s luxurious, clean, staff are extremely friendly and the service exceptional. Most of all the kids felt really comfortable in and around the hotel. The suite that we booked easily accommodated the five of us in comfort (youngest slept in a cot or with us) . The pool is the perfect size when you have small children (you can easily keep track of them, with nothing in the pool that obstructs a parent’s view). I have read here that the Banyan Tree is not close to attractions or transport. I don’t know where this is coming from. The hotel is an easy walk through a great neighbourhood to the local MRT or BTS. From there it is one or two stops to wherever you are going. The walk is really easy and there is always something to see (even if it is the CBD). It is perfectly located in between all the attractions, so there is never too far to travel. There are great restaurants within and nearby. The bars are a must see. My favourite bar is Vertigo, great view and a far more relaxed atmosphere than the Moon Bar. That being said, the Moon Bar at night is amazing once in a lifetime location. Most of all, at the end of a really busy day of site seeing, it is an a oasis of calm from the maelstrom of Bangkok (one of the greatest cities in the world). I have tried to find other hotels, but with its value and service, I cannot go past the Banyan Tree, Bangkok.

Back again at this hotel. This time I came for a meeting, although I usually come here to enjoy drinks at the rooftop. The food is delicious, the restrooms are clean, and the staff are friendly and clearly well-trained. I received a very warm welcome from Kan, the Chief Concierge, whose warm personality perfectly matches the atmosphere here 😆

Without exception staff at all levels (from concierge to the staff at the Banyan Tree Club Lounge) display a strong sense of warm customer relationship & responsibility. During my many stays over the past few years the staff have always made me felt welcomed & are available when I needed assistance. The rooms are always very comfortable & well appointed with small touches to welcome valued guests. Rooftop Vertigo & Moon Bar are very pleasant venues to end the evening. I offer my personal thanks to all the BT staff I have had the privilege to engage with over the years.
