Banyan Tree Bangkok in Bangkok, Thailand
There’s something to be said for a 21st-story outdoor swimming pool, but Banyan Tree Bangkok is not just a vertical resort. Situated in one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic cultural centers, amidst the best retail and entertainment, this is a headquarters of sophistication. It even offers a “shopping companion” to guide you through the city’s alleyways. And with its aromatherapy burner, even your room is a journey for the senses. The restaurant’s 53rd-floor restaurant Taihei serves sake and sashimi in the clouds, and everyone from concierge to massage therapist extends the hospitality for which Thailand is known.
Indulge in a breakfast of banana pancakes and a traditional Thai coffee, sweetened with condensed milk. Energized, visit Bangkok’s Grand Palace, the home of Thailand’s president, and stroll through the famous Buddhist temple Wat Pho, home of the giant Reclining Buddha. On your way to the river, you’ll only need a couple dozen baht to enjoy the street food: chicken satay, mango sticky rice, roast pork belly or a shell of coconut milk. Board Banyan Tree’s own “Aspara” riverboat and enjoy an elegant dinner of crab in coconut broth as you see the traditional floating markets in action.

Reviews for Banyan Tree Bangkok
We stayed at Banyan tree for 4 nights. The breakfast offered was phenomenal, the lovely ladies at the live kitchen stations were amazing and made our noodles and eggs perfectly. The fruits were beautiful as were all the other options available. Coffee too was amazing. The service was fantastic and they catered to all our needs, they had cute little touches like incense sticks and daily souvenir deliveries. Even though the hotel is not new, the cleanliness made up for it. The swimming pool was small but perfect just to laze about. Mr Wat and the lady at the concierge desk were very funny and always assisted us with our travel requirements. The one negative I had was that there was no complimentary airport transfer available. The prices to organise this was a bit too expensive, however I realised almost all the hotels did not offer this, so we just took a taxi. All in all, great place to stay, we would stay here again. :-)
Great hotel - amazing room and views from the restaurant and bars. The location is not great - a good 10/15 mins walk to the sky train. The downstairs lobby is in need of a refurbished and does not need the entertainment however the 19th floor reception is excellent - lovely afternoon tea and canapés and cocktails.

We stayed for 3 nights in a Horizon room, it was the basic price but was also a suite with everything you would need and amazing views. We had breakfast there , which was plentiful, a full buffet. The hotel was handy for shops and the shuttle van took us to the sky train. We had drinks at the Moon bar at the top, very pricey but excellent views and drinks. It is super busy there so you may not get seated straight away but people were always coming and going

I’m 58 years old and no great officionado of luxury hotels but we thought this place was superb. We had spent 4 weeks of budget travelling around Thailand and splurged here for our last night to celebrate 40 years together. We weren’t disappointed. Everything here exudes a level of quality without being over the top and the hotel was right on the mark for us in terms of what we like from a hotel. Furnishings, fixtures and decor are all smart and high quality throughout the hotel and our room was a good size and quite luxurious. Service was superb in every department and we felt that price charged for the quality provided was very reasonable. We had originally booked a standard room (ever the cheapskates) bit took advantage of an offer of a room upgrade plus breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails. We were very satisfied with the value of the upgrade package. This was a treat for us and we had a great stay. Not sure what level those who are giving negative reviews are used to but we have nothing but good to say about the whole experience.
