Banyan Tree Bangkok in Bangkok, Thailand

There’s something to be said for a 21st-story outdoor swimming pool, but Banyan Tree Bangkok is not just a vertical resort. Situated in one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic cultural centers, amidst the best retail and entertainment, this is a headquarters of sophistication. It even offers a “shopping companion” to guide you through the city’s alleyways. And with its aromatherapy burner, even your room is a journey for the senses. The restaurant’s 53rd-floor restaurant Taihei serves sake and sashimi in the clouds, and everyone from concierge to massage therapist extends the hospitality for which Thailand is known.

Indulge in a breakfast of banana pancakes and a traditional Thai coffee, sweetened with condensed milk. Energized, visit Bangkok’s Grand Palace, the home of Thailand’s president, and stroll through the famous Buddhist temple Wat Pho, home of the giant Reclining Buddha. On your way to the river, you’ll only need a couple dozen baht to enjoy the street food: chicken satay, mango sticky rice, roast pork belly or a shell of coconut milk. Board Banyan Tree’s own “Aspara” riverboat and enjoy an elegant dinner of crab in coconut broth as you see the traditional floating markets in action.

This hotel has really earned it's 5 stars, all the excellent reviews you have read are accurate and you will have a pleasant stay at this hotel, I want to fine tune the reviews if you like and tell you the niceties you can expect and what you are paying for: The Good: Pleasant staff, plenty of them and very courteous. Nice ambience in Reception area with a lovely fragrant smell and lady playing a harp. Effortless check in and check out. Very fast lifts to all floors. Nice clean rooms with turndown service, they place a clean pair of slippers by your bed at night and turn back the duvet. They leave a gift on your bed every day, a little token from the hotel, well they did for my girlfriend anyway. When you ring up for anything, they address you as Mr/Mrs Blogg, whatever your name is, a nice touch. Nicely furnished rooms with luxury bathroom and toiletries. Excellent western and thai buffet breakfast with an outside stream and waterfall. Ok The Bad: Location of the Hotel is not ideal, located right on the Sathorn Road, a very busy road, if you take a taxi, expect to be sitting in traffic for around 20 minutes during the day. The Sky bar which is the Hotel's main feature and selling point I guess gets very busy and yes the drinks are pricey, We ordered 2 Mocktails at around 300 baht each and when we got the bill, they added on service charges and tax amounting to around 850 baht. Also the menu is only available in European languages and not Thai. Best thing is to go there, take in the view and take the pictures with the special night time setting on your camera then head downtown. The Tuk Tuk Mafia: Always take a taxi or tuk tuk from the Hotel Concierge as they will see you get charged a fair price, we made the mistake of going onto Sathorn Road and picking up a tuk tuk from there, we negotiated a low price but were driven first to a thai silk shop where we felt under pressure to buy something. Not a nice experience, avoid it. Anyway hope this helps in your decision, have a great holiday wherever you go !

My husband booked this hotel... The Serenity Club.... For our honeymoon and my 50th birthday...WOW!!!!! What an incredible experience! This hotel took care to look after every little detail that makes you feel very special! They welcomed us with a Happy Honeymoon cake and fresh fruit and the following day pine for my birthday both at breakfast and in our room at night. The Club Lounge is where we had breakfast each day and drinks at night... All included! The staff was so incredible and genuinely wanted to give us a great and memorable experience. The rooftop bar was beautiful albeit a bit crowded for obvious reasons. The one at the Lebua at State Tower had a much more spectacular bar and dome. The Banyan Tree breakfast was great and the evening cocktails in the lounge was very good. The view from the room over Lupini Park and greater Bankok was breathtaking especially at night. The room was very comfortable and oh my goodness the bed and pillows.... Best sleep ever!!!! If you are going to Bangkok.... The Banyan Tree hotel is highly recommended!!!! Lest I forget the pool... Very nice views of Bangkok with great cocktails!!🍸👍

Staying at the Banyan Tree Bangkok was the prefect place for spending our honeymoon and birthday! Staying at the Serenity Club also was the right choice for us. The super friendly and attentive Staff and the way they bringing their personal touch to you was an outstanding experience for us that we highly appreciated during our stay. We can highly recommend this beautiful Hotel and the location it is in. Thanks so much to the Staff and the management to make our stay such a wonderful experience.

It was VIP treatment from the get go - we were given some flower armbands, and were invited to take a seat while a staff member processed our check in. We were invited to use the facilities (gym/pool/sauna) while we waited for our room to be prepared (we were a couple of hours early). Everywhere we turned, there was a staff member ever-ready to warmly greet us. The rooms were great! While you could guess the age of the renovation, it is very very well maintained. The exterior glass windows however are due to be cleaned. With the hotel spanning about 60 floors, there is a high chance you would get a good view from the room. The aromatherapy oil burner was a great surprise, and I enjoyed using it! I liked how they were very environmentally conscious - I did not miss the small details of paper sanitary bags, bottled mineral water and large ceramic shampoo/soap dispensers (instead of small plastic ones). I however did not like the smell of the shampoo/soap. A drawback would be its location, being far away from the BTS and MRT stations. From what I understand, the complimentary hourly tuk-tuk buggy ride out only seats 4 people. So it was challenging to get on if you do not pre-book your seats in advance. Getting to and from the hotel would therefore be a challenge during rush hour.

We had an excellent time in Bangkok and to top it off, a 5 star breakfast at the Banyan Tree Bangkok. You will find the food delious and the service top notch. No matter where you're from, you will find your favorite dish on the buffet or prepared especially for you by the Chef.
