Banyan Tree Bangkok in Bangkok, Thailand

There’s something to be said for a 21st-story outdoor swimming pool, but Banyan Tree Bangkok is not just a vertical resort. Situated in one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic cultural centers, amidst the best retail and entertainment, this is a headquarters of sophistication. It even offers a “shopping companion” to guide you through the city’s alleyways. And with its aromatherapy burner, even your room is a journey for the senses. The restaurant’s 53rd-floor restaurant Taihei serves sake and sashimi in the clouds, and everyone from concierge to massage therapist extends the hospitality for which Thailand is known.

Indulge in a breakfast of banana pancakes and a traditional Thai coffee, sweetened with condensed milk. Energized, visit Bangkok’s Grand Palace, the home of Thailand’s president, and stroll through the famous Buddhist temple Wat Pho, home of the giant Reclining Buddha. On your way to the river, you’ll only need a couple dozen baht to enjoy the street food: chicken satay, mango sticky rice, roast pork belly or a shell of coconut milk. Board Banyan Tree’s own “Aspara” riverboat and enjoy an elegant dinner of crab in coconut broth as you see the traditional floating markets in action.

Just spent 4 nights with my wife in the Banyan Tree. Excellent service, great location and super buffet breakfast. Pool facilities and the team around the spa always on hand to help and the complimentary massages round the pool are very welcome! Ate at the Thai restaurant as well, food was very good and they catered to our tastebuds for spicey food. Only niggle was the rooftop bar, which is mainly there for the view. Possibly the worst G&T we’ve ever tasted and £30 for 2!

The rooftop bar/restaurant is spectacular, one of, but probably not, the best in Bangkok, although at their prices (£50 for 3 drinks) there are many cheaper rooftop alternatives. Nevertheless worth a visit for the views alone. We were encouraged when entering the hotel to see the boards proclaiming 'a platsic free Banyan', we pledge to reduce and ultimately eliminate single use plastics', this is a topic close to our hearts and their proclamation is graphically illustrated with a poster showing a turtle with a plastic bag in it's mouth. Imagine our horror when our drinks were served not only with plastic straws but also with plastic cocktail sticks. Come on Banyan, don't wait, you can take action immediately and stop using these plastics, be a leader, but as important practice what you preach elsewhere in your hotel.

I’ve had the best experience in Banyan tree Bangkok. Their staff is super attentive, the hotel is a gem and Its the best hotel service that I’ve had in years. While in the pool my sister and I got complimentary massages. They were amazing! Badminton and Suksan were extraordinary. They had a very genuine friendly approach, they made us feel like royalty and in heaven with their massages. I will come back to Banyan Tree over and over thanks to my experience with them. Now a day is hard to find this top notch service. Thank you, Heidy

Was on a business trip in Bangkok and stayed at this fabulous hotel. From my daily meetings at the ballroom, coffee breaks, lunch and in room experience, everything was just simply perfect. My arrival was greeted by a gentleman from China who was so polite and pleasant. Nothing was too much for the staff and they went all the way to attend to my requests. Room cleanliness was simply impeccable and very innovative set up and performances by staff durung our coffee breaks. This is the hotel I would recommend to those on business or leisure.

Held a birthday event for 11 people here. Staff looked after us really well in both Vertigo and Vertigo Too, food quality excellent, good value for money and amazing venues. Cannot recommend this place enough.
