Banyan Tree Bangkok

This was our second visit to the Banyan Tree hotel Bangkok having previously stayed there January 2025, sadly Bangkok traffic has put us off staying in town again! Two hours fifteen minutes to cover 19 miles!? in future we will be staying in the excellent Hyatt Regency hotel within the airport complex. We stayed in park view Club room 5710 on the 57th floor, the room was amazing on every respect as were the views. We were checked in at the Club Lounge by the very efficient, friendly Naris, we enjoyed food and drinks in the Club Lounge often, the staff, food and drinks are amazing here. We attended the Valentines celebration meal up on the 61st floor outside Virtigo restaurant, every aspect of this experience was stunning, we were looked after extremely well by all the staff, Nonny was outstanding. The one disappointment during our stay this time was the breakfast experience at the indoors Virtigo restaurant, totally disorganised in every respect, confusion at the door with a long line up and total confusion inside, 20 minute plus waiting time for hot drinks, staff running around with hot fresh cooked food only to find customers had left due to the long waiting times and the restaurant was only half full! this experience was most certainly not five star sadly! Breakfast aside, this is a great hotel, staff here are so friendly and helpful. We would like to thank all concerned for a memorable stay.

Stayed one night before a late flight after a 3-week trip, and this was our least favourite hotel. Check-in was disappointing — the staff member seemed uninterested — though other staff were friendlier. The Thai restaurant was a highlight with great food and service, but breakfast was underwhelming. Room was comfortable but felt a bit grubby in places. Amazing views, but not enough to make us return.

I am a regular guest at this hotel and have stayed here several times, precisely because of the level of service and excellence I have always experienced in the past. It is therefore with even greater surprise that, during this stay, my experience has fallen well below those standards. From the moment of my arrival, the level of service was not consistent with what I had previously experienced. During check-in, I did not receive any of the usual welcome amenities (such as a welcome drink or standard attentions), while I later observed that other guests were receiving them. This situation creates a real sense of inconsistency in the service provided. The following morning, the situation became even more concerning. I was woken up very early by extremely loud construction noise, to the point that the walls were vibrating continuously for several hours. It was simply impossible to rest. After contacting reception, I was informed that these works were indeed planned, that they would continue until around 5 PM, and that a room change could be arranged… in the afternoon. However, this does not address the main issue. In a hotel of this standing, guests should be clearly informed in advance of any major disturbance. Selling a room intended for rest without mentioning that there will be continuous construction noise from early morning raises serious concerns about guest experience management. Given my previous positive experiences at this hotel, this situation is particularly disappointing.
