Banyan Tree Bangkok in Bangkok, Thailand
There’s something to be said for a 21st-story outdoor swimming pool, but Banyan Tree Bangkok is not just a vertical resort. Situated in one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic cultural centers, amidst the best retail and entertainment, this is a headquarters of sophistication. It even offers a “shopping companion” to guide you through the city’s alleyways. And with its aromatherapy burner, even your room is a journey for the senses. The restaurant’s 53rd-floor restaurant Taihei serves sake and sashimi in the clouds, and everyone from concierge to massage therapist extends the hospitality for which Thailand is known.
Indulge in a breakfast of banana pancakes and a traditional Thai coffee, sweetened with condensed milk. Energized, visit Bangkok’s Grand Palace, the home of Thailand’s president, and stroll through the famous Buddhist temple Wat Pho, home of the giant Reclining Buddha. On your way to the river, you’ll only need a couple dozen baht to enjoy the street food: chicken satay, mango sticky rice, roast pork belly or a shell of coconut milk. Board Banyan Tree’s own “Aspara” riverboat and enjoy an elegant dinner of crab in coconut broth as you see the traditional floating markets in action.

Reviews for Banyan Tree Bangkok
We started our honeymoon off at this hotel. We arrived at about 2am to a wonderful greeting and were able to get room service. We tried the breakfast buffet, but we were not overly impressed. Mr Wat at the concierge was very helpful with getting an impromptu trip to the floating market. The Garden bar offered great views of the city. We were not able to go to the moon bar because my husband did not pack any pants.
My wife and I held our wedding here in March 2018, and were over the moon with everything that the hotel provided. I would say without a doubt that it was unbelievable value for money. Our wedding organizer, Kingpai, was so helpful during the planning stage and made everything so easy. We met with her 2-3 times and she was easily contactable, and helped arrange accommodation for 12 members of my family who had travelled over from the UK. We had our pre-wedding photo shoot at the hotel, and the staff were very accommodating in letting us use different rooms and areas of the hotel for our photos without any problems. Everything on the day was amazing. The morning ceremony was in a beautiful room on the 10th floor, and there were plenty of staff on hand to help with everything. The evening ceremony was fantastic, in the large ballroom on the 11th floor. Every one of our guests commented on how fantastic the decorations were and how exceptional the food was. The sequence of events was very well prepared again by Kingpai and her team, and this took so much pressure off my wife and I. The overall service provided by the hotel is of the highest standard, from the moment you walk into the hotel to the moment you leave. There is a really nice pool on the 21st floor, which has a complementary 20-minute massage service in the afternoon and complementary water and juice. A perfect spot to relax. We finished up our wedding weekend with dinner at the Vertigo restaurant (where Kingpai arranged the best table in the restaurant for us), and with some cocktails at the Saffron Sky Garden on the 52nd floor. Also, a special word of thanks to Mr John Neutze (Sales and Marketing Director), who came to visit my wife and I on the day to pass on his congratulations – that was a nice touch that even someone in a high position working for the hotel knew what events were taking place that day. We all love this hotel and would recommend it to anyone else who is looking for an amazing wedding venue with fantastic value for money. Love Banyan Tree.

A Special and Surprising Birthday in Banyan Tree Hotel in Bangkok for my friend’s daughter born with congenital Downs Syndrome My family with another 8 friends of mine booked the Banyan Tree Hotel from 13.5.2018 to 17.5.2018. Based on our last year experience in Banyan Tree Hotel and on advice from the Hotel, we booked five Serenity Club Rooms to enjoy a tranquil and relax holidays. The hotel provides the usual guest-friendly treatment to all guests. We made use of all the facilities in the hotel with a self-designed daily itinerary for all of us. Amongst others, we had Tai Chi or Morning Exercise in the Pool followed by swimming and sauna until 8 am. We started to have breakfast to enjoy all varieties of food until 10.30am. We then had our reading times and self study for a short while and went on with tea in the afternoon until 2pm. We went out to cruise around the shopping malls and returned to the Hotel for evening cocktail snacks. The club room provided different choice of snacks for tea and cocktails with some change of variety every day. Club 19 which is a special cocktail made by the bar staff is great for all of us. The fresh papaya juice is also most refreshing and welcome. In the evening we went out for some local Thai Street food, mangoes and fresh coconut juice rear by in the local night market and the bar street at not too far away from this hotel. In the afternoon of 16 May,2018, one of my friend, a single parent joining us for holidays in this trip with her daughter born with congenital Downs Syndromes discreetly told the ladies in our group that the day was her daughter’s birthday. With practically no resources or nothing in hand the ladies prepared a big and nice Birthday Card for everyone to sign on and went up the Club Room earlier using the cocktail cakes and fruits tarts to make a beautiful birthday cake. It was placed on the table and once the mother and her daughter came up to the club we sang the birthday songs and sent birthday wishes to the mother and the daughter. This being a great surprise to them and while we were enjoying the cocktail and snacks, more surprising than not and all of a sudden, two club room lady staff coming closed to us holding a Birthday cake in one of their hands singing Birthday song approach the mother and her daughter. This special Birthday Cake was made purely by fresh mangoes surround by fresh fruit tarts and lighted birthday candles. The scene was most touching as the daughter and her mother were in great surprised. They were in tears and all of us were deeply moved by this impressive Birthday gift from the hotel staff and reaction from the mother and daughter. Throughout the whole event, I was sure that the ladies in our group did not voice out anything about the Birthday of this girl. There was no doubt that the lady staff in the hotel were so observant, so kind hearted, so generous and conscientiously got the message of this particular guest, born with congenital Downs Syndromes, would deserve a little bit of extra caring and love from her mother, her friends and member of public. The hotel staff in particular in this special occasion had demonstrated their caring and most attentive attitude towards their guest. I consider these values most valuable and their attitude and good working spirit did deserve my appreciation. I would most like wish to share this experience with you and am enclosing some of the photo(s) taken on this occasion for you to highlight in your hotel. What I have written here are from the bottom of my heart and are all the opinion from my friends. A job well done to cheer up the heart of a young girl born with congenital Downs Syndromes and gave a Special and Surprise Birthday to her memories during her stay in your hotel. Lam Chung-pang

A superb hotel in a crazy city! It really was a haven of tranquility to come back to every day after exploring the sites. We were lucky enough to have an upgrade, and enjoyed the lounge service (the staff are just amazing!) but the ultimate was the rooftop dining - utterly fabulous! Expensive, but unique. If you get the chance, treat yourself. The Banyan Tree really does offer sublime service, we can't single out any one staff member, they were all so lovely - professional yet approachable, discrete yet ready to divulge little insights into Thai culture.

AVOID THIS PLACE. The staff lied to me at check in, took money from my account without my knowledge or authorisation, when I asked them why I was smirked at and told there was nothing they could do apart from say 'sorry' and hopefully it will be returned in the next couple of weeks (I now need to waste more time talking to my bank to get the payment stopped and returned). The food was awful - think microwave meal or plane food level - and totally over priced. The rooms and pool were OK. The spa was lovely - but you don't need to be a guest to use it so you would be better off staying in a place that actually values their customers and then heading over for here for a treatment, but undoubtably the spa is no better than any of the other higher level hotels.
