Banyan Tree Bangkok in Bangkok, Thailand
There’s something to be said for a 21st-story outdoor swimming pool, but Banyan Tree Bangkok is not just a vertical resort. Situated in one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic cultural centers, amidst the best retail and entertainment, this is a headquarters of sophistication. It even offers a “shopping companion” to guide you through the city’s alleyways. And with its aromatherapy burner, even your room is a journey for the senses. The restaurant’s 53rd-floor restaurant Taihei serves sake and sashimi in the clouds, and everyone from concierge to massage therapist extends the hospitality for which Thailand is known.
Indulge in a breakfast of banana pancakes and a traditional Thai coffee, sweetened with condensed milk. Energized, visit Bangkok’s Grand Palace, the home of Thailand’s president, and stroll through the famous Buddhist temple Wat Pho, home of the giant Reclining Buddha. On your way to the river, you’ll only need a couple dozen baht to enjoy the street food: chicken satay, mango sticky rice, roast pork belly or a shell of coconut milk. Board Banyan Tree’s own “Aspara” riverboat and enjoy an elegant dinner of crab in coconut broth as you see the traditional floating markets in action.

Reviews for Banyan Tree Bangkok
The amenity in this hotel is lovely, but what stands out is the service. From the concierge who walked 100m to cross the highway to flag a taxi because the congestion was so bad to the spa which was world class and so relaxing to the club floor staff who could not do enough to make us welcome.

Our family of 5. Parents and three kids stayed here in mid April 2017 as part of our Asia trip from the US. The hotel exceeded our expectations., we had a two bedroom suite on the higher floors. The suite was very large and provided ample space for the kids to hang out. There were baskets of assorted and complimentary tropical fruits. The breakfast and afternoon service which included light pastries and food was spectacular. We went out to see the imperial palace and came back a little late and even though they said they could not accommodate late check out that day due to volume they were great about allowing us extra time. The service and staff were super courteous and helpful. One could not ask for better service. I highly recommend and will stay no where else if we return to Bangkok.

Arrived in the evening for a 3 night stay before flying to Koh Samui. Hotel is just off of a very busy road and behind another big office block so is fairly quiet. On arrival we were greeted with beautiful fresh flower garlands which were placed on our wrists. We were taken to reception for check in and served with a complimentary drink. Check in was quick and easy. We were given our keycard and directed to the lifts. We were on the 28th floor in an Oasis Retreat king room. Room was a great size with a lovely bathroom with separate bath and shower. There were his and her robes and slippers placed on the bed which was a nice touch. 10 minutes after arriving in our room a small birthday cake and a bottle of sparkling wine and some lovely roses were delivered as this was a special holiday for my 50th birthday and 30th wedding anniversary. As it was late on the first evening we ordered food from the room service menu which was very enjoyable. This was a lovely surprise and much appreciated. Breakfast and all 3 days was delicious and there was a great choice of foods. We also ate at Vertigo Too and were lucky enough to get a window seat with spectacular views of the city. Cocktails were fantastic and a good choice of food from a very varied international menu. Staff were fantastic. Used the pool which was small but perfectly formed. Was offered a complimentary message whilst sunbathing. On the last evening we ate in Saffron. We are new to Thai food so we went for the set menu, there must have been about 10 courses. The food was excellent but a little rich for us. The staff were amazing and again the views were something else. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent Hotel. Couldn't fault the standard of room, friendliness of staff (where nothing was any problem) to excellent Breakfast Buffet. Great facilities available at the hotel. My only criticism is the price at the Vertigo bar which is an outside rooftop bar on the 66th floor, the Moon bar and restaurant on the 64th floor, as well as Spa charges I felt to be steep.

We stayed for just 1 night on the last night of our honeymoon. We had a club room on 58th floor which had amazing views over Limpini Park and the Bangkok skyline. The room was spacious and being a club room you have your own check in / out desks on 19th floor. We were welcomed by friendly staff and shown straight to our room. The only negative was that our luggage was not delivered to our room for another 45 minutes. As there is a dress code of smart casual throughout the club lounge area (no shorts, sports wear, trainers etc), we weren't able to change into more appropriate clothing until we got our luggage. The club rooms come with complimentary perks such as; afternoon tea, beer until 8pm and cocktails from 5.30pm - 7.30pm daily. The swimming pool area is small but a lovely spot to cool off after a day of sight seeing. If you are lucky, you may even get a free massage! The hotel is perfectly placed for sight seeing with the sky train and sub way stations only a few hundred yards away. It is close to the red light district - for the ladyboy shows and some of the best street food to be bound in Bangkok. Banyan Tree also boasts one of the best roof top bars and restaurants in Bangkok - Moon Bar for drinks (no reservations required) and Vertigo to eat (reservation definitely required). We ate at Vertigo and the food, service and obviously the view were spectacular. It is not cheap though - we paid just over Ā£200 for a main dish, 2 side dishes and a bottle of wine. However, if you enjoy fine dining with a view, this is not to be missed and you even get a souvenir photo to take away! We stayed at the Shangri La and this hotel in Bangkok and if we were to return, we would definitely pick a club room in the Banyan Tree!!
