Banyan Tree Bangkok

An absolutely beautiful hotel so glad we chose to stay here. About a 40 minute drive from the airport in Wednesday traffic. A beautiful greeting at reception with everything clearly explained. Our room was very clean and spacious with an generously sized bathroom. Housekeeping staff were beautiful and let small gift which was very sweet. We chose to include breakfast in our stay. The buffet breakfast was very nice, a wide variety of food to choose from which was perfect. The pool was delightful, cool at first but quick to warm up. Many hours could definitlt be spent relaxing by the pool very kindly getting drinks from Kavin and the team. We went to saffron grill on the 53rd floor and that too was amazing. A beautiful table by the window overlooking the city we had Korn looking after our table. She explained the meaning of the sourcing behind certain drinks, food and even the plates. The food was delicious and we left feeling very full. The hotel to where we wanted to go was very central which meant we weren't stuck too long in traffic.

Today is my boyfriend’s birthday. The staff prepared a surprise for him. The food was delicious, and there was live music with great vibes.

We stayed at The Banyan Tree for 3 nights in November as part of a longer trip to celebrate our 50th Birthdays. We were handed jasmine wrist garlands on arrival - nice touch - and then told to wait in the bar area whilst someone checked us in. It would have been nice to be offered a welcome drink, especially as we were kept waiting for 30 minutes as there was some confusion with our booking. This was resolved eventually but it would have been nice to have been kept informed rather than sitting in reception with no clue to the delay after travelling for over 15 hours! The room was amazing, huge, great views and well appointed. I loved the little gifts left on the bed every night, what a nice touch. The pool is small but we managed to get sunbeds and have a swim, and we hadn't come to Bangkok to lie by a pool. There are 2 skytrain stations within walking distance of the hotel which were really convenient for getting out and about to explore this great city. The Moon Bar on the roof is a fantastic setting to enjoy a cocktail and watch the sun go down, and the bar a few floors lower is also good to get a drink and take in the city views. We also booked the Aspara river cruise and had a brilliant evening - first class food and service and highly recommended. If we return to Bangkok in the future I would definitely look to stay here again.

Very good service. Our group were assisted all night by the most terrific server named Lek and made our experience absolutely wonderful. I could not recommend this experience on this cruise any more - 10 out of 10! We would most definitely come back and re book again in future.
