About the Hotel

There’s something to be said for a 21st-story outdoor swimming pool, but Banyan Tree Bangkok is not just a vertical resort. Situated in one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic cultural centers, amidst the best retail and entertainment, this is a headquarters of sophistication. It even offers a “shopping companion” to guide you through the city’s alleyways. And with its aromatherapy burner, even your room is a journey for the senses. The restaurant’s 53rd-floor restaurant Taihei serves sake and sashimi in the clouds, and everyone from concierge to massage therapist extends the hospitality for which Thailand is known.

Reviews for Banyan Tree Bangkok

Great hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 8 hours ago

Booked via Kuoni and got an upgrade including use of the Club lounge which included free breakfast , afternoon tea, evening canopies , some cocktails, bottled beer and the usual soft drinks. The food and drinks were very good with excellent service. Our room on the 29th floor was massive and incl a lounge , bedroom and bathroom with fantastic views , great shower , bath, free coffee pods/machine, fruit , TVs , complimentary laundry service . Only negative was the wardrobes were a bit limited in size . The Moon bar on the top of the hotel (61st floor) was good for the drinks , music and views including the sun set . Lots of photo’s being taken including of people posing on the glass bottom viewing platform! Our room included a free cocktail as well. Couldn’t really fault the hotel and would definitely return . I would recommend getting use of the Club Lounge , that made a big difference.

Songkran 2026

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 12 hours ago

I stayed at the Banyan Tree Hotel in Bangkok for Songkran 2026. I had such a fantastic experience, all of the staff were extremely helpful and provided a lot of assistance and recommendations. In particular Pong from the Club lounge was extremely helpful with recommendations of places to go and eat as well as shop. I highly recommend staying here if you're in Bangkok

My wife and I are visiting on our honeymoon and our experience has exceeded expectations since check in. The staff have gone above and beyond! Suksan was amazing by the pool, showing us kindness. The rooms are beautiful and very clean. The club lounge experience has been excellent as well. We would absolutely return!

Even when promotions overlap, I always go with the one that feels the most worthwhile.

Review: 6,999 THB Promotion at Banyan Tree Bangkok This package includes a room, breakfast, club lounge access, and one additional benefit of your choice (I highly recommend either the Saffron Cruise or Vertigo). • Check-in was at the 19th floor Club Lounge, where I received a very warm welcome from Khun Wendy. This floor also serves as the executive lounge. • The original room was a panoramic type, but I upgraded to a One-Bedroom Residence. The view wasn’t particularly impressive, but the room size definitely made up for it. • Club benefits: Beer is available from 10 AM until closing, plus complimentary laundry for 2 pieces. Afternoon tea (13:00–16:00): The selection felt a bit limited. Evening cocktails (17:30–19:30): Great food, very filling, and nicely presented cocktails. • Breakfast: Served at the lounge since Romsai was under renovation (you can also choose to dine at Vertigo Too). Compared to my previous stay, the selection has improved, with made-to-order egg dishes, noodles, and a buffet line. ⸻ Vertigo at Banyan Tree Bangkok The 3-course dinner portions are quite large. Normally, dining here is expensive, so choosing this as your benefit is very worthwhile, especially since it’s for two people. The food itself is decent but not particularly outstanding, more like standard Western flavors. However, the atmosphere is the real highlight. Service was attentive, and my table was taken care of by Khun Nick, who did a great job. ⸻ Saffron Cruise I hadn’t been on this cruise for years. It was renovated last year with a refreshed look (Betta fish theme), including updated furniture. Boarding starts at 7 PM. Upon arrival, drinks are served, and guests can relax and enjoy the view for about 15 minutes before being seated for dinner. Before the meal, there’s a hand-washing ritual and a towel provided. Personally, I think a cold towel would be better given the heat and waiting time before boarding. Appetizers • Nuea Noom E-San: Since I don’t eat beef, I had chicken instead. It was similar to a spicy Thai salad, quite enjoyable. • Kaang Khao Massaman: Fried taro stuffed with Massaman chicken curry. Since I don’t eat beef, I received chicken. I do feel the ingredient cost gap is quite noticeable. Pork or duck might have balanced this better. Soup • Oon La Moon: Grilled scallop in a light coconut soup with galangal and young tamarind leaves. The scallop was large and well grilled. The broth was aromatic with a gentle tanginess, well balanced and not too rich. Main Courses • Khao Yam Goong Yang: River prawn fried rice with grilled prawns and seafood sauce. The rice was well cooked and dry, though lacking the expected prawn oil aroma. However, when combined with the grilled prawns and sauce, it became a very well-rounded and delicious dish. • Mok Poo Mueang Chan: Steamed crab curry mousse. The texture was smooth with generous chunks of crab. Since I requested less spice, the overall flavor felt slightly muted. Dessert • Yen Jai: Coconut ice cream with Marian plum and what seemed to be cassava. Extra points for the Marian plum, absolutely loved it. After dinner, I had a chance to briefly meet Chef Max, which was a nice touch. I also mentioned that Thai cuisine here still maintains a good standard, especially reminiscent of Chef Renu’s era. ⸻ Overall This promotion is definitely worth it. Experiences like the Saffron Cruise or Vertigo rarely come with significant discounts, even during promotions. At around 7,000 THB, you can roughly break it down as 3,000 for the room with club benefits and about 2,000 per person for dining, which makes this a very good deal.

The hotel was excellent, good size club rooms, with a great stylish bathroom, the club service was amazing with a good selection of food, the club staff were very helpful. We usually stay in the hotel next to the Banyan Tree which we love, but would come back to this hotel again for sure.
