I had a fantastic experience at the lounge in Le Meridien. The staff, especially Jommy, Ice, and Bamby, were incredibly attentive and made sure all our needs were met. The atmosphere was relaxing, and the selection of food and drinks was excellent. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind in a welcoming and comfortable setting!

The hotel found my backpack which I had left in the taxi.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

I stayed here for one night from May 28th. The 29th was my return day, so after checking out I went straight to the airport. I was having so much fun in Thailand that my brain wasn't functioning properly, and I mistook the time I arrived at the airport for the time I was leaving the hotel. I quickly called a taxi using a taxi app, but it took a while to come to my senses. So I asked the bellboy to catch a taxi on the street and negotiate with him to hurry me to the airport. He said OK, so I got in and headed to the airport. I prayed that there wouldn't be any traffic jams. Luckily there wasn't, and the taxi driver was able to pass the slow cars and we arrived at the airport safely in about 40 minutes. At this point, my head was filled with two things: the feeling of relief that I had arrived safely at the airport, and the fact that I had to pay the driver who had driven safely and quickly to get my luggage in the trunk. As a result, I had left my backpack in the car. I forgot about my backpack, and didn't remember it when I checked in my suitcase, and I forgot about it when I put all my luggage on the tray at the baggage inspection area. I was so focused on getting through passport control quickly. After the tray came out of the X-ray machine and I put it on, I finally realized that my backpack was gone, but I didn't have time to turn back. I usually take a picture of the taxi number, but today I didn't. I panicked a little, but I thought it would be more important to miss the flight, so I went through immigration anyway, and since I didn't have any cash or passport in my backpack, I thought I would give up. But I had a sketchbook, which is worthless to others, but to me it's something money can't buy. I can buy other things again, but I can't buy this. But I told myself that I had to give up. I shared this incident with my friends on social media, and one of them contacted the hotel. (Thankfully, it was multiple people.) After receiving the call, the hotel staff worked together to identify the taxi I had taken, contacted various parties, and found my backpack safely. My friend then went to retrieve my backpack and even arranged for it to be sent back to me. Many people in Thailand did their best to help with the situation I had caused through carelessness. This incident made me love the Kingdom of Thailand, which I have loved for the past 30 years, even more. Thank you very much to everyone at the hotel for your prompt response.

Perfect stay!

Excellent ubication, good food and beautiful views. The best of all was the customer service. I need to mention the concierge named Boom and Lippo. They were the best telling us about places to get excellent food and places to have fun. Also, the reception desk, gave us a warm welcome and everytime we saw them always show us best smile and manners. Thank you for everything!

Excellent Hotel in Central Bangkok

Very nice experience at Le Meridien. It was my second time staying at this hotel. The location is excellent on Surawong Road, walking distance to MRT, BTS, shopping and nightlife. Large, clean swimming pool and fitness center. The front desk staff recognizes Marriott Bonvoy elites and I was proactively offered an upgrade to a suite. The suite had a separate bathtub and large shower with excellent water pressure, and it was thoroughly cleaned twice a day. The suite was well insulated from any exterior noise. The titanium welcome gift was a choice of points or 2 pieces of laundry/day. I chose the laundry option, and clean clothes were always returned the same day by 3pm. Breakfast at the Latest Recipe was excellent with many options including Western, Thai, Chinese, Indian and Korean. The noodle soup station had a different feature every morning and the lady preparing the soup was most hospitable. Complimentary sparkling wine for club level guests and chilled fresh coconuts most days. We never tried breakfast in the club lounge because the offering in the restaurant was so exceptional. However, the club lounge in the evening was great. Jommy and Bamby took good care of us always, and never failed to greet us with a smile. The hors d'oeuvres selection changed daily and was extensive and high quality - many guests made a meal out of it. The bar included at least a dozen kinds of liquor, as well as beer, wine and soft drinks, and there was a menu of cocktails and mocktails. Room for Improvement: Children ran amok in the club lounge during cocktail hour, with one toddler having a full-blown screaming meltdown. They should be banned after 5pm similar to Le Meridien Saigon. Tempo Bar is offered as a club lounge alternative, but it is not a good option. Although it is a full hotel bar with 3-4 labels of each kind of spirit, the only complimentary liquor options for club guests the evening we visited were vodka and whisky. When we asked for a cocktail offered upstairs in the club lounge we were told, "Sorry, different menu. Cannot." Half of the tables in Tempo had RESERVED signs on them and they remained empty the entire hour we were there, forcing the patrons to sit tightly next to each other at the "unreserved" tables. The concierge was lazy. We had a package delivered to the concierge desk and the concierge neither had it sent to our room nor called us to ask us to come downstairs to retrieve it. When I called the concierge later in the day to ask if our package had arrived, he simply replied, "Yes, it's here." Nits aside, I would stay at Le Meridien again without hesitation. The level of service offered by the front desk, housekeeping, club lounge and restaurant teams was 5-star. They made us feel welcome and anticipated our needs.
