My partner and I chose to stay at Lebua in the tower club rooms on the last night of our 6 weeks in Asia, it was well worth it!! The rooms are huge, the balcony views are awesome and both the lunch and high tea menu’s were excellent. There is a dress code for the tower club, but this doesn’t seem To be enforced as much as I expected. There were people walking round in baggy vests and hot pants on that were not denied entry. I don’t understand a dress code that accepts men wearing scruffy jeans and trainers but deny entry to men wearing chino shorts and boat shoes - the dress code needs reviewing! The skybar offers amazing views but the prices are astronomical for Bangkok.

Checking into the hotel was seamless and the staff at that point was nice. We were taken to our two bedroom corner suite and that was that. I must give a 5 star on views and that is all this hotel has to offer. To start with, our kind bedroom AC was not working, we called them so they could check it out at 11:00pm because we arrived at around 8:30 or 9:00pm. They had all day to ensure everything was working properly, but point is, they were trying to fix it when we were so tired and they couldn't fix it. We just told them to go away and went to sleep with the AC in the living room. The following morning they asked us to move, but how can you ask someone to move when all their things are settled for a full week? It would be just a waste of time. We were going to be gone so I told them to fix it and by the time we came back at night, it was done. Two of the elevators going up to the skybox did not have AC. Imagine a box going up and down without AC full of visitors, because even at that, you share the elevators with visitors and they make comments among themselves in different language of "why are these wearing shorts?" I'm glad I knew what they said, but we are actually staying there and we are visiting places! Bangkok was humid and the elevator made things a lot worse. I told management about it and it seems it went through one ear and exited through the other. LOL. So over it. In the previous week I had an accident in a pool where my ankle got scraped in the swimming pool and my skin came up, so I couldn't wear shoes and had a medical statement, or you could just see the injury. Anyway, went to have breakfast as it was including in the suite and the waiter said "No, you can't wear flip flops" and I explained the reason and I asked for a manger. 10 minutes in, no manager and we went downstairs. I later spoke to the hotel manager about their policy when you have an injury etc, and she stated that it was fine, there shouldn't be a problem. So not only I went through the embarrassment of looking like an idiot, but we were sent downstairs like stray dogs. The breakfast was bad as it was and the personnel's attitude was just as bad. In our last night, I picked up a little show pillow in between a lamp and guess what was there just under it, HIDING.... the "please place this card on your bed so we can change your sheets." WHAT!!!! OH boy, I blew up. I was in Tokyo and all hotels always leave the card on the bed to make sure you know that they won't change the sheets unless you place the card there and in Bali, they change the sheets daily so you don't have to worry about that. They hadn't change the sheets in 5 days because the housekeeper place the card in a hidden place. WOW. I was shocked and I asked for them to change the sheets immediate that night. I had also asked to have the HOTEL MANAGER reach out to me as soon as she arrived in the morning and no call. That was just plain neglect on their part. I'm just so over this hotel. People state that this hotel is marvelous and incredible. It is not. This hotel is dated. This hotel does not care about you as a guest. They don't care about your needs. Some staff are nice, but some aren't. Yes, the napkins are so crust hard of how old they are! I have stayed at many hotels and resorts and not even Holiday in have such hard napkins you can't even clean yourself up with. I highly recommend you avoid staying at this hotel. They cater more to the outside visitors than their own guests. Yes, they tried to made things up by providing us a ride to the airport which was a nice complement from one of the morning manager and I thank her for that and she was the only manager that actually cared. Avoid this hotel at all cost. Yes, the view is enticing, but if you don't care about service and just want the view, then, by all means stay, you will love the views.

Like everyone else, i have rave reviews for the staff, location and accommodations. We were met by friendly assistants who took our luggage and checked us in effortlessly. Best part was, my husband could not open his suitcase so the bellmen tried combination after combination until they could open it. Incredible service. Restaurant was insanely expensive and probably not worth it. Just go for a drink and enjoy the view.
