lebua at State Tower

We happened to be in town for the festival day Lou Khatong. Together with Lebua employees - Amy, Mind, and others - we enjoyed learning from them how to make Kratong and then later traveling together to the river to float the Kratong. It was very welcoming to have the hotel and staff create this opportunity to share their festival with several guests. We were happy to have the opportunity.

Great location. We have stayed at the Shangrila a few times and the Peninsula. Always wanted to stay at the "Hangover Hotel". Staff fantastic as usual in Bangkok. However the hotel was a bit disappointing. A beer at the 64th floor bar.....no beer. Champange, cocktails and Prosecco at £45 per glass! We did manage to get 330 local beer at the 52nd roof top bar for £35 for 2! Appreciate these places are all about the prestige, but other hotels are much less for the same. We didnt spend much at the hotel as felt like a rip off! We stayed on the 24th floor...the room was ok. Very clean and great room service. But the room was pretty basic and cheap furniture. We explored the local area and visited some old haunts which worked out well as we had some great meals at good value. The hotel does offer a fantastic breakfast. Much better alternatives is the conclusion.

Can't leave without mentioning about Prakit, such a kind hearted and genuine soul. Paid cash on behalf of us without even asking back for it. He helped us at a very crucial time and we couldn't find currency exchange around. He saved us at hard time and had been generous enough as well.

Mind was amazing and made my stay wonderful. Great place to stay. Lounge was great too. I would recommend this as somewhere to consider.
