We arrived on 13 August and departed 19 August. Lovely stately hotel with very large rooms. Rooms are very clean and balconies have great views. Very efficient and quick check-in and the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Many thanks to the Hotel Manager, Yulia Tribble, for our wonderful stay. It was great chatting with you.

Lebua is a huge hotel and we had a good suite on the 55th floor. The bed was comfortable if a bit hard (you may like that) and the view is incredible. It had a sitting room which was big but uninviting - we used it to keep our bags so it was just a big waste of space. The position is good and close to lots of things but Bangkok is such a difficult place to get around. Our main gripe is that my computer was hacked while there and now no emails for the foreseeable. The much trumpeted sky bar is spectacular but a scrum.

What an amazing experience . This is a fantastic hotel and well worth its 5 stars. Nothing was too much trouble and the tower club experience is well worth the extra investment. One of a few downsides.....the wait for lifts is a pain but then it is a huge building and whilst we were glad we experienced the sky bar it was so busy on the night that we went ( Friday) that may also have been due to the fact that it had rained for the previous few nights so it was the first dry night . Residents are not treated any differently to visitors which was a huge disappointment and at times it felt like a cattle market. That said I would thoroughly recommend the hotel we had a fabulous time.

We arrived on the 17th of August, bags left at the front, check in was fine, up until we were asked for 10000 baht for a security deposit. This would not have been a problem if we had known at the time of booking. We do not use credit card and the check in attendant would not accept our Visa card. She took us to a manager who rudely told us that nothing could be charged to our room due to us not paying a security deposit. We could deal with this, but a more pleasant manner could have been taken when speaking to us. Arriving up to the room we found the balcony doors locked which they do explain that you must personally request them to be opened. At 11am I called reception to request them opening, she told me someone would be up shortly. 2.5 hours later, no-one had been to open the doors (we had been out during this time) and no luggage!!! I called reception, AGAIN and requested luggage and doors opening. 30 minutes later someone arrived so we could finally get freshened up after a 5 hour drive to stay here. The carpets in the room were absolutely filthy, the tv did not work properly and there was dust on lightshades and headboard. This wouldn't have bothered me in a standard hotel but this was supposed to be luxury at the end of our holiday. We decided to venture upstairs to the sky lounge. We were herded into a lift with, actually having to queue with people just visiting for drinks, again this wouldn't normally bother me, however as guests paying over £300 to stay here I was severely disappointed. On arriving at the sky lounge we were guided out into the roof terrace and straight back in for drinks. Not a place to chill out at all. We ended up going for cheap drinks and food out of the hotel just for peace. The second time we went up requesting The Dome we were guided out of the lift to the whisky bar. I told the hostess that we did not want a drink here, We wanted the dome. She was not happy and ushered us out. The dome, although beautiful and a lovely setting, is all just hype. We were constantly being tapped and asked to move by staff who were taking photos of people, extremely unprofessional. This is the poorest review I have had to give and I thought it would have been the perfect ending to our stay in Thailand. I would advise to stay elsewhere as this is certainly not luxurious or relaxing and actually would have ruined the end of our holiday had we not been able to laugh about it. One positive? The 5 chocolates they leave in the room, as we ate them we decided they cost us £60 per piece as the room and stay were completely worthless.
