Reviews for lebua at State Tower
We could not speak highly enough of this hotel previously but when we came this time round we had a few issues. First was that we was supposed to be on a higher floor as we was getting married in Thailand and had got engaged here couple years before. We ended up with still a high room but next to a suite so you can imagine not the quietest. Then we had on the other side loud guests smoking on the balcony when we had requested a no smoking floor so was extremely frustrated by the disturbance. After speaking to management they moved us the following day to a beautiful room but then had some problem with the room downstairs leaking so had to come in for a hour to fix this which again was more disturbance. The manager apologised again and gave us a later check out which was appreciated. The breakfast is still great and the club lounge is definitely recommended. The sky bar has nice views but absolute rip off the cocktails where average and so expensive! Overall ok stay.
First time in Bangkok and my girlfriend surprised me to this fabulous amazing hotel. I'd no idea where we were staying. But as soon as we arrived up, my jaw dropped cause I do remember seeing this hotel in a movie saying "imagine staying there" and here we are pulling up outside it. ๐ The staff are incredibly open and welcoming, we sat down to sign a few documents and a deposit of 8000 baht is required. We didn't want our debit cards blocked so they accepted 5000 baht (cash) instead. Highest floor of the hotel was an absolute dream, (59th) the views where incredible and so was the room. Overall Breathtaking. I can't find words to describe it. Just WOW. Looking back at photos still can't believe how amazing this hotel is, staff, food, everything. We ate at the restaurant the first night, Michelin star restaurant you'd know the food was only exquisite. ๐๐ป made to perfection. Sky bar was good, but we already had the most amazing views in our room. The breakfast buffet was OUT OF THIS WORLD. ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐ฏ๐ I know in my heart and soul, no matter how far I travel I'll never get another breakfast like lebua. I'm deadly serious. 3 rooms with so many options, all fresh. A chef for every item. Cooked on demand. No behind the scenes. This hotel is just phenomenal. Highly recommended. We got the upgrade = all inclusive club lounge, worth it all. Club lounge was amazing, snacks from morning to evening including alcohol drinks. Until 6pm. (No shorts or flip flops allowed) Their was a minor incident with our room the last day of staying, and we got moved (this was a little inconvenience to us as I loved the room we had already been in and genuinely didn't want to move as we'd plans that morning) we got the 'river bank side' it wasn't all that, and I did much prefer our original room. And because of the inconvenience Leena another hotel manager who was an absolute pleasure to deal with and speak to, understood the hiccup we had in our room so our Landry charge was taken off the bill. 'Joesph's' attitude at reception. I didn't like one bit. He came across rude. But Leena. Thank you. Outstanding hotel. Staff incredible, welcoming. Pristine hotel. Jaw dropping rooms. Highest views over looking bangkok. Comfortable, soft blissful huge beds, with all different kinds of pillows. Birthday cake / roses on arrival like my partner requested. just an incredible buffet you'll never go hungry again. ๐คค free Wifi. Free mini bar. Michelin restaurants / chefs Lounge club was class. Complimentary fruit and chocolates out of the blue. Newspaper / weather forecast everyday. ๐๐ผ Overall just a Phenomenal hotel. The only thing that needs changing is Coke Zero / Diet drinks need to be added to the hotel / mini bar and I would have loved if the rooms had free movies to offer. Overall 9/10
I can't recommend this hotel enough. Top service, special views and all in all, a wonderful experience. We were greeted on arrival by Stella who helped us with the check in process and even took photos of us on our balcony. Lovely suite and a reasonable price for what it was. Easy to get taxis to and from. The only downside were the prices at the poolside bar.
Staffs are greeted with warm welcome , took us to the room and shown us the facilities. Reception area was elegant however the main entrance is at the back so when walk in, its will be via the front entrance which has some shops and empty units. The hotel located in Silom area, near the river and within walking distance to the sky train. The hotel is still fairly new, we were up graded to suites with 2 bedrooms. The living and bedroom rooms are large and perfect a group or family. Balcony in each room as well as the living room. The view of the river was amazing. The Sky bar is a must try but beware this is very pricey! Probably more pricey than those Michelin star restaurants in Bray.

We've just spent 3 nights at the lebua in a 25th floor Superior River View Suite. The entire floor I gather is assigned to smoking rooms. Reception was fine and we were very pleased with our room. The view was truly spectacular! Even more pleasing was that we'd not paid too much either having booked with ebookers at just over ยฃ100 per night. It's all very plush and grand in the public areas and the bedrooms are well fitted with a huge comfy bed and plenty of storage. The bathroom has quality bathroom accessories and lush towels. Be careful though .... the tiled floor in the shower becomes very slippy and is an accident waiting to happen. The main downer for me is the taxi service. The hotel entrance is a good 200 to 300 yards from the roadside so there aren't any passing taxis to hail. The hotel operates a queuing system outside the lobby and 'summon' taxis form the road. It doesn't seem to work very well as we waited nearly half an hour twice. The second downer is the area really. Its an oasis of opulence ... sat in an area of extreme poverty. Walking nearby later in the evening and we must have seen 40 or 50 people sleeping in shop doorways. Not the hotel's fault, but a visitor might want to know. Overall though, we enjoyed our 3 days. We loved the view from our balcony, we had fantastic room service each day and taxi queue aside, the reception and lobby staff were first class.
